HMG needs to come with a backpack with like 500 rounds. Trading your ability to run a backpack strategem in exchange for the ability to hold the trigger down on this bullet hose for 30 seconds is exactly the balance I want.

This is my favorite video of yours. Mentioning "what kind of person you are" and "social pressures". Being vulnerable. 😂 I love the HMG personally. But i do agree its ability are limited compared to it's peers.

I love seeing vids on the HMG, and quite honestly, I hope it gets enough negativity that the devs fix its issues. 1 - NO RETICLE!! 2 - LOW AMMO But here's what many don't know. The HMG has a really high damage output. I main this weapon since its release and it is really strong. Use burst shots at default ROF and you can one-shot most weak enemies. For bugs, you can two-shot medium armored targets if you hit the head or weak points. I fire entirely in 3rd person view because I refuse to use the sight. It's not easy since I have to use crosss reference points to hit, but I've gotten pretty good at it now. It takes practice to get good with it, but you need to stop full-auto except for close range. HMG vs automatons, it can easily take down all heavies up to a Hulk. Use a stun grenade and rapid burst tap the head. You'll down them before ever running out of ammo.

You sound like you have a lot more experience with the gun than I do brother so I'm definitely going to give those tips you mentioned a try and see how it goes. Appreciate you stopping by and chiming in. I don't have the new warbond pack yet so I'll be without stun grenades but we'll make it work.

@Wallbouncing no probs. I've always been a fan of the HMG since HD1. And I knew I was gonna main this one. Sure it has its flaws. The biggest is the missing reticle. But I used it until I got good. Once you can learn to shoot like it's semi-auto, you can let loose 2 bullets at a time. That saves a tonne of ammo. Use a tape dot if you have to for 3rd person accuracy. Then learn to fast tap that trigger for rapid fire mode. You'll land shots far better. 👍

@@Cipher73 As someone who's very well versed in the HMG, what are your thoughts on the new fire rate change? I personally don't feel like it was the change it needed and don't see how it will affect the playstyle around the gun but I wanted to know what you thought. 🤔

@Wallbouncing I've never used that insanely high ROF. For a small mag, you'll inadvertently blow through the mag faster than you can sneeze. I've played with the lower ROF and found the default was the sweet spot. When you use this and shoot in semi-auto (single tap of trigger) you'll shoot an average of two bullets per burst. At mid range, you'll see the second bullet go slightly higher, sometimes doing a head-shot to smaller targets. Regardless, the single body shot usually kills them in 1 hit. Devastators can be dropped at mid-range with 3 well placed shots to the head area. Berserkers too. Sometimes 4-5 if the angle is hard. That nerf of the ROF actually helps the gun because it's way too unstable. But again, I always run default ROF. Run stun grenades with the HMG. Practice fast tapping for rapid-fire instead of full-auto. And always shoot in 3rd person. Use tape dot if you need to. The reaction time to aim is far better in 3rd person than 1st person. For Striders, hit the upper part of the head. Two shots can drop them. 3-4 if you miss most of the area. For Hulks, I run towards them and stun grenade, then crouch and blast its head. 5-7 bursts and they're e done.

First I fell in love with HMG emplacement, so the turret variant. It destroys all the bots but tanks. After I understood how to properly use it, I was like: "I wish I could carry this one with me". And then "wait a minute". The HMG is very tricky to wrap your head around. But after you realize its damage per bullet, penetration and handling - it quickly becomes your main weapon against hulks, walkers and factory striders. Essentially, it's Laser Cannon, but trades ammo and handling for insane bursts of damage.

Ya I'm always looking for maps to use the HMG employment. And it kills the smaller tanks if aiming behind the front facing armor. And obviously on the main tanks sweet spot

To preface, I know I’m a month in the future. With the third person reticle and RPM adjustments, this weapon is easily my favorite. Best against bots, though… IMO

Appreciate you checking out the video! I know there's been some changes to the HMG since I made this video and I do intend on revisiting it in the future as I have turned a new leaf on it and appreciate it a lot more.

This is the gun I want so badly to be good but is currently a perfect storm of uselessness Why worry about working ADS or Hip fire sights at all? You don't need sights on a gun that wont stay on target. But even if you can keep it on target, you're out of ammo before you've done any work with it. Again, rendering sights moot.... in it's current form it's like a shittier version of a Claymore mine that you have to hold in your hands. You have to run up to point blank on your target and then hope you survive while it finishes its 'detonation' This needs SOMETIHNG fixed. Either increase the increase the ammo or give us less recoil Whichever you choose FIX THE GODDAMN SIGHTS
