For bot headshots with the railgun: how precise do you have to be vs the hulk's face? My aim is a little shaky shooting them in the eye slit with the autocannon without stuns. Should I even bother with the railgun in that case, or just use quasar instead?

@@robau84 jump distance with the jump pack is dependent on how fast you are going when you jump and whether you have stamina or not. Since light armor gives you the highest base speed you'll be able to maximize your jump distance with it. Beyond that and to my knowledge, no other effects to jump height or otherwise. My conclusion after watching the whole video: Sometimes comes in handy, but not that useful. Without the jetpack, I would've tackle the situation in the videos differently without much issue either The only thing worth noting is that, one can position oneself in more dangerous position with jetpack, but even the video poster does not come out of it unscathed and not without risk. Switch it to rover against terminids when mobbed by hunters, definitely would ease more than jetpack. Which my personal take is, just position yourself smartly. Definitely for fun play, and not useless.
I agree and believe that with other backpack stratagems such as a guard dog or a shield generator you can take a lot more safer and methodical approaches to fighting enemies. The jump pack, however, is just a really fun tool to use for navigating the battlefield and possibly for finishing out objectives quick and easy. Thanks for checking out the video!
It's more of a personal preference. I really like the way the slugger feels compared to the jar 5 despite the jar 5 being, in my opinion, the better weapon stat-wise. Thanks for checking out the video!

I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary, but the speed in which you travel with your jump pack is dependent on whether you have stamina or not and your speed at the time of the jump. Since light armor gives you the fastest base movement, you'll be able to cover more distances with the jump pack, so if you want to maximize your jumps I do recommend running light armor. On the other hand, if you like to use weapons like the machine gun or heavy machine gun and want to find a nice place to shoot, or run sentries and want to just find nice vantage points for them, you can run the other armor types if you prefer the height rather than just the mobility that the jump pack gives. I finished the whole vid now and I just wanna say bravo. People sleep on the jetpack all the time because it doesn’t do damage on its own or provide additional armor, but I think the added mobility lets you set up way bigger plays than any other stratagem in the game. But honestly, judging by your skill, I think you could make a double smoke, machine gun sentry and minefield loadout work somehow.
Appreciate your kind words! I do agree that the jump pack has a lot usefulness that isn't recognized. People would say it's not worth taking because it doesn't do much in terms of damage or defense and doesn't really contribute to the team, but I think it's great for taking out side objectives such as stalker lairs or quickly disabling a stratagem jammer that your team might be too slow to get to, which benefits your team if you're able to get to it and take care of the job. 7:48 oh you can start the Machine gun reload while still in the air? Is there a trick to it, or just hit reload? Very cool. The MG is one of my favorites on bug missions. I gotta start using the jump pack more. Also gotta increase my FOV. :) Awesome playing. You're an inspiration.
No tricks, just reload while you're in the air. Sometimes it won't go off the first button press so I spam the reload button to make sure it goes through. Your speed and height do change while you reload the machine guns, but you're still able to get some meaningful distance away from enemies so you can complete your reload in peace. You can reload normal primaries and secondaries without it affecting your jump pack jumps, it's just with those weapons with stationary reloads such as the machine guns. Jump pack height is all about stamina. Without stamina you can only do the small jumps. It could also be my FOV. I play a high FOV so all my running and jumping looks like it clears big distances but it's all the same, it just looks that way. Day one user here, unfortunately they screwed with the ability to climb terrain. Makes a jumpackers life unnecessary herder than it already was on Helldive difficulty
When it comes to mantling on terrain, I myself haven't found a distinct way to know if it's climbable or not. There's ledges I feel like I can easily vault on but am unable to and other times where I was able to climb on and even stand on a single stone protruding from some rock wall. It's a constant case of trial and error but when it works it can be really good. As someone who's been through all the nonsense, it's still fun to take around so keep at it! I've heard a lot of people say on my jump pack guide that the jump pack doesn't do much to help the team, but I think in the right hands that the mobility can help get a lot of stuff done around the map. Thanks for your comment and thanks for checking out the video!
I have been running stalwart + jump pack, and the feeling of shooting while in the air is just too good to pass up I usually use the jump pack to either dodge chargers and bile attacks or to take a position quickly, usually attacking a charger with 3 thermites to the head
@@elpollo2805 it’s great with Blitzer because if you time it perfectly, you can actually aim in mid-air. Fire as you jump, then fire at peak (this is the hard one to time) then fire as you land, hit 9 targets in the space of a jump! Thermites seem awesome but I can’t seem to get them to work reliably

I wish it actually worked when I'm not sprinting. When stationary, slowed, out of stamina or surrounded by bugs it "jumps" about 3 feet in the air while automatons with jump packs can fly from another end of the map and explode right in my face :(
It is a bummer that being slowed, not having high initial speed or not having any stamina greatly reduces the effect of the jump pack. In a game where I'm constantly running around and diving, it sucks to not get the extra 3 meters of height or distance that would've saved my life in some situations.
