Flamethrower on bug breaches just melts everything, I hope they keep the damage where it is because I've really started enjoying using the flamethrower
I'm pretty sure they will introduce fire resistant bugs on some planets, just so you can't run a certain build for everything. Would be a cooler way to 'nerf' the fire builds as well.
I presonally love how this planet looks, the constant red mist makes it feel so hot, i'm burning just watching it, and weirdly enough i love planets where you can't see more than 2m away, it gives so much ambiance
A quick tip to locate the stalkers lair, as soon as you see one, open your mini map and start pinging towards the general location you saw the stalker come from and eventually it’ll get highlighted for you
there is also a general shape the different stalker lairs have on the map, so you can spot them from anywhere if you know what to look for (as long as atomspheric spores arent there)

@@vanher282 Dot damage. Holding down fire on a bug-breach will net me more kills even after I run out of ammo. If it's many small guys it's not uncommon to see the killstreak go from 20 to nearly 40 while you reload.
Unless I'm mistaken, liberating Hellmire won't be the end of the bugs. They still have over two sectors worth of planets. I think all Major Order's up until the next war bond drops will be focused on us liberating the rest of the bug planets. The three planets in our current MO are just the start
Incendiary breaker is 1 shot kill on hunters with fire damage and amazing against shriekers. You can kill a charger with the fire damage of 1 mag if you're patient enough but not practical. The fire dmg boost isnlit 🔥
There's no way that's viable... fire DoT hits the main body, and the charger's main body has 90% resist to anything that isn't explosive. That must take _ages._
@@Sky_Guyincorrect, the only part of a charger with 90% damage resist is the unarmored portion. The armored portions don't. It's just that fire damage ignores armor
Another thing I love about the incendiary breaker is that the pellets ark and have a wide damage range, making it super useful for hitting eggs in nests from a distance if you aim above them and use the bullet drop to set the eggs on fire
@@leeham6230 the flamethrower kills chargers fast because its direct damage ignores armor and the leg doesn't have much hp, not because the fire itself kills it. You can test this with any other source of fire, it will take forever to kill a charger.
@@kingpenkevlar2215 Yeah that is true or at keast adjust it to what Armour your wearing being heavy is the most fire resistant. Because I know to dive and put out fire but I've died mid air before touching the ground such a bruhhhhh moment.
Agree. In too many games being burning or using a flame weapon agains an enemy is inconvenient at most. Range on the flamer could be a little higher tho.
@@kingpenkevlar2215I disagree. Fire damage only comes from the hulk which can be downed in several fashions or its flamethrower can be shot off. It can be frustrating, but easy to counter if you prepare accordingly.
Hooo boi... I just blindly magdumped into the enormous swarm that was heading our way at the extraction and then the kill counter just started going up to 30+. Then even on the cinematic where the Pelican is already flying away, the screen shown a few more kills accumulating. And god, I love the visuals.
I absolutely love the buffs to the fire strategems. Now Napalm actually feels impactful for the role its supposed to fill: hoard clearing/denial. Cause unlike the regular eagle strike, which I think has higher base damage then napalm strike, the napalm strike has after damage making it on-par with eagle strike
Love the content dude, definitely learning some strats here How do you kill chargers with the flamethrower so fast though? specific point on the leg? I try it too but sometimes they eat like 75% of a canister before they go down for me
@@squeezyjibbs6643 yep just tried it yesterday, you have to really hit that single leg but if you do they die so fast. finally not being annoyed by those shits anymore ;D love shoving some democracy up their armorplates.
The shield dome stratagem can also be used to deflect bile titan puke and make them kill themselves, its actually really effective, it can also stop chargers dead in their tracks when they charge, very underrated
When fighting the bugs since the balance patch, I've sworn by napalm airstrike. Most of the time I go full firebug loadout but when I'm not I always have incindiary grenades and the napalm airstrike. I've gotten better at tossing it and getting a 25+ killstreak off 1 napalm, while my personal best was 52 kills off 1 napalm airstrike and that alone makes it pretty dang ideal

Min 34:00 Titans get a lot of damage when you destroy the sacks, many times after a 500kg hits them but doesnt kill them, I destroy their sacks and they die, can do the same thing with the rail cannon, before or after the hit. Also you might want to try the guard dog laser backpack, while the shields protects you from dmg, the dog prevents damage because it kills the flanking enemies before they hit you, it also helps with the overall kills.
If a blue stratagem lands on your shield, you can drop your backpack to save yourself. Saw a post of someone who intentionally threw it against a wall, caught the bounce with his shield backpack, then dropped it under a bile titan's head to kill it. Absolute Chad.
I've been running without a backpack a lot. I find that on hellmire, I need neither shield nor rover if firestorms can hold hunters at bay :) Then just bring the railcannon for easy titan kills or the laser for a flexible panic button.
i like how you can play helldiver difficulty solo and treat it like a relaxing commentary, when i try to play hard with a full team and feel like i'm gonna die from stress lmao
I am fully convinced that the game is easier when playing solo. I have rarely issues with bots on helldive solo, but the moment I am playing with my friends, there is only carnage and the bots feel ten times as aggressive.
I think they should buff the flamethrower by adding a fuel canister backpack that comes in its hellpod increasing its range and widens the flame it shoots out as well and no longer needs a reload until the backpack is empty. You don't need to take the backpack if you don't want. But I think sacrificing the shield could be interesting to get more damage
Man those 500kg are amazing....finished off a mostly dead BT and killed a live one! One slot, 40mins, and with luck two kills! Cant imagine bringing anything else...what could possibly do better than 0-2 bile titan kills per 40mins.
16:50 you can destroy bug holes by calling a support stratagem on it, like a shield pack or resupply, it only needs to land near the lip of the hole and you don't lose the item. Edit: Lmao he does this later in the vid anyway.
You mentioned "Pouncer worlds" is there a way to differentiate before deploying so you know what you should be taking? I'd love to know it was going to be spewers so I can take the grenade launcher, cos screw those guys!
Bit of a tedious request, but could you possibly make a video on stratagem binding? I saw the comments in a previous video mentioning binding sprint and the stratagem list to a mouse button, but can't find the forum post that was mentioned. Thanks for the great vid as always!
You can put the strat button on any key.... I use right CTRL and use the Arrow Keys to type in combinations, this lets you sprint while calling them in, you can use a mouse button too yes, but I got 2 Thumb buttons so no room
@@prich0382 The idea in that comment was that you'd autorun when holding it in, enabling you to use wasd for the stratagems without stopping. And not moving your hand away from the usual keys
you need to try this with gas strike alongside napalm for the ultimate exterminator build. throw both at a bug breach and watch the kill streak rack up
There are a LOT more bug planets left to conquer after Hellmire. There's two completely untouched sectors! This build is awesome and its crazy that even the planet falls in line with it.

I’ve spent some time creating "custom classes" just for fun and as recommendations for teammates in higher difficulties. Your build is almost a 1 to 1 of the class I simply called "Hans".
Adjust ANY third/first person videogame into a higher FOV, and you will feel like you are moving faster. Most console games won't even let you change FOV. It allows you to see more on your screen, with the drawback of the centre of making anything you see in the center of the screen much smaller. The smaller the thing, the harder it is to hit.
I'm saving my credits for the new shiny warbond but I might just get the citizen edition for the breaker incendiary LOL i've been trying it out from my teammates and it's amazing
25:20 - Doesn't follow you **yet**. It's in known issues that red stratagems don't follow the beacon. Going to have to learn to quickly drop the shield pack when they fix that.
So I saw you went shield pack, if I may suggest go Heavy Medic+Ammo pack instead. You basically become immortal and can even walk into your flames for a long while
I think they could have kept chargers and bile titans insane, just drastically received their spawn rate. It was kind of spectacular to have to focus down the thing as a whole squad
I wish hot planets didn't just have harsh negative effects. If they could give them a buff that made sense, say increased duration of fire effects, it'd make for even better fire builds
interesting you mention that the floors lit on fire and killing the bugs coz my 5 year old kid actually taught me this trick lol. i didnt even think of it. he just told me to run and light the floor on fire behind me so the bugs die. i was proud
Is there anything you can do to minimize the crashing after extract, except from waiting for a new patch? It's so bad for me atm.. Already tweaked graphic settings (much lower), disabled crossplay, verified game files etc. Playing on a 4090 + 13900k rig, so this is on the software really!
Honestly I hope they dont change fire damage as it is right now it's both fun and effective against bugs. If people are complaining about the incendiary breaker then nerf the bullet damage (is it needed though I dont know I dont own the gun I dont use the gun) instead of globally nerfing the fire.
