Whenever I give the Scorcher and or Spear another try I realize why I love the Plasma Punisher and Lasercannon combo so much. The Punisher stagger is just too good and the Cannon melts Gunships, Towers, Gunemplacements, you name it.
Diligence + auto canon better ngl. Diligence one shot headshot everything, one shot body lights, auto canon staggers and you can even play another primary than the grenade pistol.
@@el-low6663 diligence is good, but pretty bad by comparison when you're trying to take a point. You could always sit back and stay sniping while your allies take care of things, but if you ever want to charge in, you're going to have to deal with the heavy devastators on the inside, and nothing is as good at dealing with them as the plasma punisher is. Marksman rifles in particular are really unreliable at dealing with them at close range unless you're so good that your weapon choice doesnt matter in the first place. Autocannon vs laser cannon is personal preference tbh. Having a backpack slot is nice, having more orbitals is also nice. Sometimes I prefer having a bubble shield or guard dog.
@ihave2cows auto canon staggers everything, like I said. So it's very easy to kill minigun and rocket devastators. With the laser canon, you get beamed by a minigun 30% of the time when you try to kill anything. Diligence is good as long as you don't get flinched, hitting headshots on devastators is fairly easy if you don't spray and pray with it.
@@el-low6663 I played both autocannon and lasercannon for over 400 hours now. The reason I prefer the lasercannon lately is that the stagger of the plas punisher is way better. You can stagger groups of devastators and striders while killing all the small stuff with its splash damage at the same time, it feels way snappier and you can lob your shots over obstacles and walls when you move into a point. So I don't need the AC because my primary can handle all that. Plus you don't have to reload the lasercannon and free up the backpack slot if you want to use a shield or something.
@@el-low6663 autocannon is very good against bots in general, but its not ideal in close quarters or when you need to reload, and in general its not good for snap-aiming due to the high drag-time. Peak physique does make it better, but then you're sacrificing a backpack slot and an armor slot. I prefer, in most scenarios, to just have the plasma punisher just because of how insanely reliable it is in terms of keeping you safe from heavy enemies. Like, I think its definitely a loadout that totally works great in some scenarios others dont, but at the same time there's definitely some areas where its weaker. I myself tend to take it *and* the plasma punisher just because its the fastest, most reliable weapon for taking out gunships, which imo are the most threatening enemy type with a high spawnrate. And I just really fucking love how reliable the plasma punisher is for every enemy that doesnt have tank-tier armor.
as someone who's suffered with chronic insomnia most of my life I have to stop and thank you. I was finally able to swiftly fall asleep as soon as you mentioned stealth
Bro, glad to see you drop the shield for the space meth. Lol. You should do a full junkie load out run. Medic armor and supply pack with the HMG or AMR. Just go full offensive and burn through about 30 stims.
If you run out of range as soon as the extraction timer hits 0, pelican1 will stay in the air to wait for you, and the gun takes everything out in a ~300m range
Also for the extract, if there's bots there already, just throw a 380 on the extract 40 seconds before the pelican lands, then get some distance and come back as it lands
Man, something is wrong with either scorcher bullet hitboxes or commissar bot hitboxes, I miss a lot of shots that look like they should hit in every bot game. And it feels only a scorcher issue.
I don't know why but I suck with their groin or leg shots even though I can hit more difficult weakspots on other stuff every time. With scouts what I usually do is just use AMR for a 2 shot to the upper section which is laughably easy to hit
Does anyone know why at the start of EVERY drop Takibo never gets to control his pod? In 500+ hrs I've only encountered this twice. Is it a hardware issue? Servers?
TLDR: It's because he plays with a framerate that's higher that 60 fps. It's a bit complicated to explain why it's like this but I'll try: The game waits for a certain amount of frames to pass during the drop sequence loading screen before it gives you control of your pod. If you run at 60 fps (or lower) it times it perfectly and gives you control of your pod just as the loading screen ends. If you run above 60 fps then it counts frames too quickly and gives you control of your pod WHILE the loading screen is still up. (You can actually blindly control your pod too). So when you finally load into the planet you're pod is on the ground. Takibo runs at a framerate above 60 fps and he's also playing solo so he isn't syncing up with other teammates drops either. It's an extremely unknown bug. Basically it works like this: •If your framerate is locked to 60 fps you WILL be able to control your pod. •If your framerate is higher than 60 fps but one or more of your teammates are locked to 60 fps (or lower) then the game syncs your drop with them and you WILL be able to control your pod. •If your framerate is higher than 60 fps and ALL of your teammates are also playing higher than 60 fps then you WON'T be able to control your pod. •If your playing higher than 60 fps and also solo you WON'T be able to control your pod. I also run higher than 60 fps but I use an app that allows me to hit a hotkey during the drop sequence loading screen to temporarily lock my framerate to 60. Then when I gain control of my pod I hit the hotkey again to unlock it. I use this as a work around to be able to control my pod and also play with an unlocked framerate. (the app I use is Riva Tuner Statistics Server) --Thank you for coming to my TED talk
Only by direct shell impact. Position the tower between the beacon and the map center and make sure the beacon is close to the tower base. Or make sure it's touching the tower base at any angle. I most commonly use the gas for this, but I think OPS and barrage hits can work as well. I know lasers can, but they don't directly target the thing. I saw a guy use an eagle once but I forget the strat he used.
@@pFantam611 i had thst before but i dislike taking my hand off the mouse, now using mouse4 and mouse5 for up and down and A&D for left right. That works rly well
Depends how aggressive you want to be, I've done 8 without firing a shot. An aggressive approach on 9 with any secondary, let alone a light pen peacekeeper I can't even imagine but if you do make sure you upload I'm sure it would be god tier
Some really great primary options for bots are plas punisher for group stagger, diligence CS for one tap headshots and range, dominator does the same for close-medium range (depends how easily you can use a red dot further away) and they all pair beautifully with AMR, heavy MG or autocannon especially with the new physique passive they all handle so much better now that it actually works. I prefer HMG and AMR over AC but thats just me. Also a surprisingly epic backpack is the ballistic shield. Bots can't see you if youre holding it and even when you shoot at them they'll shoot in that direction and go there but wont see you unless you're side on with one. You could take a one handed weapon or use the senator with it, golden.
Hey Takibo idk if other folks have commented this but when moving the artillery shells if you pick them up but switch weapons before it ends up in your hands you will throw the shell which helps move shells quickly
@@TrixterTheFemboy Definitely eruptor is better but im more interested in jar dominator since it’s a bad weapon and the new peak physique could make it viable
@@TrixterTheFemboy idk people on reddit, discord and utube as a community agree that dominator is a bad weapon. I didnt believe it at first but after using it it really is bad mainly because of the handling
Yeah, you could even take the diligence counter sniper since AC can take care of gunships + it has a lot of ammo. Diligence one shots lights and one shot headshot all devastators
Why do you always look like you're sprinting so much faster than me when i play? And yes I do use light armour. Idk if certain light armours give even more speed than the base starting light armour, cuz that's all I have atm.
Well for sure different light sets have different speed, stamina regen and armour ratings, the one with 50 armour is fastest I believe. Also the booster experimental infusion gives you a movement speed boost for the duration of a stim. Finally he may have higher FPS and different FOV settings to you but I don't know what equipment you run so maybe not.
I like the plas punisher better than the scorcher. On console the scorcher misses so many shots even when it’s dead on. The hit reg and cursor just feel so screwed up on that gun. The punisher is great at taking out multiple little guys that can call drops quickly. And it doesn’t require great accuracy either to be effective
@@el-low6663you are right but the AMR and HMG melt gunships, pair them with peak physique now that they work and I bet you'll enjoy it. Then just use whatever primary feels best for you on ground, I love the plas punisher but it's far from the only option
I usually have no problem in finishing bot missions (solo 6) but recently I just haven't been able to extract with samples no matter what. I tried even sitting with my back to a wall with a ballistic shield, but the bots just inched towards me and eventually the shield of invisibiity failed.
Invisible shield is buggy since there are no true stealth mechanics. Just play auto canon or smth, it staggers everything you shoot at and kills hulk in 2 shots at the red eye
I would advise dropping the samples near the landing, if you do the SEAF artillery actually load a smoke shell. Then when peli lands fire the SEAF smoke in between the samples and peli, you should find it easier to grab the samples and climb aboard
Has the scorcher been nerfed recently? I remember it used to be an extremely reliable three shot kill against striders, now it feels like it takes most of a mag.
There wasn't a nerf to the gun, however there was a buff too the striders. They greatly increased the riders explosion resistance It used to be that the autocannon could one shot them very easily, now it takes three shots in the front or two in the legs.
Hi, I love your content and I have a teeny tiny request. Can you please enable timer in HUD settings? It's quite hard to follow action without this nifty tool, and I don't think it would hurt anyone. Many thanks!❤
Nice loadout. Personally I don't like 2 eagles, because they tend to make me waste uses or clogg each other up and makes the enemy anti-air stronger. I like EAT's next to spear for quick damage, especially on missions where you need to defend something. Otherwise, orbital precision strike is really nice as well. But that slot is a flex-slot anyway, as you said.
