The way the bug ragdoll Slid off the top of the box at 14:43 looked like it was hand animated and not ragdoll physics. Shoutout to ragdolls being funny since forever

Automaton phasing tru comand bunker are pretty funny too. And one my first mission on the new obj I got a bile titan pathing screw up because of the massive hole but at one point he decided to go straight instead and it crawled back in the hole a a sec later reapeard in my face on my side of the chasm

Stims getting canceled by movement feels bad. ESP when you are down (ragdoled), stim, hear the "fssssh'" sound and get up and it cancels the stim. And then you died to the next rocket salvo.

It's especially annoying in combination with how this game handles knockdown effects: A bot will launch you with a rocket volley, and you have to slowly get up while being shot at instead of being able to stay prone and stim ASAP. I hope they adjust that eventually, but with things as they are right now, if the damage/flinch/ragdoll system is going to be the way it is, stimming should be a free and uninterruptible action - Like an auto-injector built into your armor.

16:28 Holy fuck that would be a fun and unique mission, build a rappel rope to head down and once your in you cant call in stratagems so you have to be smart about what you take in, clear out an enclosed bug nest or retrieve an intel hard-drive and escape back out the hole, damn I'm so excited for something that will likely never exist now lol.

Na it would make more sense if you can still call in stratsgems but only ones that sre in the bullet stratagems. So you cant call in strikes and all, but it would make sentries or mines more useful.

Hunters are the most aggressive thing now. Like, they can ICBM launch themselves from way behind a bug horde and be pinpoint accurate, even if you move. They adjust their flight path mid jump as well. At least they don’t completely lock you in place so you can still sort of run away, but the range on the tongue attack is crazy

Your drilling into a huge underground bug nursery / hatchery there is going to be near endless swarms to try and stop you and im down for that. A minigun stratagem would have been sick with this and the new armour.

The hunters really are a nutty design. They're a common enemy type. Spawn in packs. Have basically a long range homing jump. High damage. High attack speed. Crowd control slow status effect. Slightly higher HP than other chaff. Evasive maneuvers. At least despite being "tankier" than scavengers, they're still relatively fragile... I get that since the bugs are 90% melee fighters they need a way to be a threat against us and our guns... but that's a lot loaded into one little bug. Edit: LMFAO! Pelican crushes the bile titan "Nice." Proceeds to phase through the earth. "Uhhhh..." That's rough, buddy.

The breaker drill mission is alright since even if it takes too much damage, you don't have to recall it, and it will begin where it left off. In squad play, the adjudicator isn't too bad as long as you have teammates to handle the chaff, if you don't, you have to fall back on your support weapon. The increased spawns with automatons on diff 6 was batsh*t crazy, especially when you completed all the objectives, you could noticeably see the uptick in elite units immediately populating the patrols. Which makes you consider more so now if you can handle taking on every side objective and nest/fabricator. Had a moment on an automaton ice planet where we're trying to take out a gunship fab on the way to extract after completing the main & other side objectives when we started getting shredded by the gunships mostly because we were getting pinned down on every side by seemingly random and endless patrols of heavy devastators and blizzards. On the bug sides the increased patrols are good, that is unless you get one of the armored bile spewer missions, then it's almost as bad on the automatons side when two patrols with two bile spewers each come from your flanks while you're also dealing with a bug breach.

I personally don't see a point in making sense of it. You press right, it goes left. Do that two or three times and you'll just remember it goes the other way than "expected" :D. (The reason why it's "the other way than expected is that it starts in "6" position instead of "12". If it started at 12 there would be no confusion)

As a bot player plas scorcher, sickle, and jar are all viable as well, haven’t tested the eruptor since the new changes so idk, but it forces you to take a gun that can take devastators and striders in the case of the sickle and imo the jar since it’s not the best for striders

You started talking about it so i'm going brain-dump. I'm a firm believer that players are fine to get hitscan and HIGH-velocity weapons but PvE enemies should be relegated to laser-pointer based hitscan (you literally get a beam coming from their point-of-aim like a half-life sniper troop/combine), slow/medium grade dumbfire projectiles and lots and lots of well-telegraphed by sound, visual, over-sized weapon-model/traverse or animation-lock (that they cant turn more than 45 degrees within). i play destiny 2 because it's one of the only good "persistent" FPS experiences around but it's probably filled with the highest degree of overlapping anti-fun enemy-mechanics i have ever seen. meanwhile hunters tracking-leap, spewers "don't dodge left" and rockets outta nowhere to ragdoll your head into the wall/floor/rocks seem to be taking heavy influence from that type of nonsense. Imagine if hunters didn't change-direction in mid-air to nibble 66% or more of your HP away in a single hit (followed by a 125 degree? cone-ragdoll or ankle-stab),, they would land like the baby-hunters then have to give-chase like every other mob in the game, stim-untaxed. Hell even making so that if they do need to change-direction mid-leap then they don't get to headshot unless you are crouching/prone, that way static behavior still gets punished but actively trying to avoid them is more beneficial than simply "dying tired".

I second the part about laser pointers. They would be especially sorely needed for units that don't have audio cues, like tanks/turrets. Getting oneshot from half a map away with absolutely no warning is not much fun, especially with how weird and inconsistent their aggro is now.

Bots have been taking their gamer supps, so much more accurate now, it's painful. But at least the flying enemies only show up with a map modifier, which is more than I can say for bile/nursing spewers.

All you have to remember on radar towers is, Clockwise - RIGHT. Counterclockwise - LEFT. But you only have to remember ONE of them, since the other way is simply the other way. So just remember: Clockwise - RIGHT

@@thegrunch6448 From looking at the console. The circle with the alignment vector is the clock face. If clockwise is the shorter distance, you go right on the tower or "D". If counterclockwise is the shorter distance, you go left on the tower or "A".

I really want them to make a new kind of bug enemy. We deployed to the supercolony of mutated bugs, yet we fought bugs that were well known to us. Now we destroy nurseries, but there’s still no new bugs. I don’t even want the hive lords anymore, just any new bug. Like a flying artillery bug. Or a bug that erupts into smaller bugs when killed

About that second stalker lair. You got the layout with only one stalker hole and a support standard hole that spits wilburs or hunters and stuff to protect the lair when you get close. Way easier than the multi-stalker-hole layouts.

FYI that second stalker lair isn’t the double, it’s the one that spawns a bunch of chaff enemies that also auto aggress against you (the wilburs, little bile spewers, and maybe hunters/pouncers?)

9:17 The yellow arrow is the dish, and the left-right turning controls are from its point of view. So you picture that you're looking in the direction that the arrow is pointing, and press in the direction that's closest to the correct zone. Or, in other words - Left is counter-clockwise, right is clockwise. 11:03 It's always one hole = one stalker. It's just that some Stalker Nests will spawn with two stalker holes instead of one stalker and one wilbur hole. And/or multiple different nest objectives can be in the same area and both send stalkers at you.

I was under the impression that the bot aim spread reduction was meant to fix devs (specifically shield devs) shooting at a 90 degree angle from where they are facing, so I have hope that something will change with their accuracy.

The only good bug, is a dead bug (that's then g round up for some spicy E-710). Bugs i'm overall ok with the spawn changes. it's busy, but i was already dealing with worse running solo with 4-stack spawn rates. Bots not so much, i feel like i'm being hunted down and corner-sniped by MG/rockets/cannon worse than ever. ANY patrol-spawn that's not spotted instantly and "accounted for" with a cluster/grenade is aim-botting the back of my head within seconds if already in an active fight with the "creatures in the mist" (or on the walls, or peaking/shooting at you through breakable-terrain items and lesser-terrain features). I'll admit that it didn't help having 2 missions in a row where i was spotted and chain drop-shipped (every 20-30 seconds for 3-4 minutes) by an eye of sauron watching me spawning/landing on the map. This was me testing out challenging 4/9 difficulty to get the personal-order done for the day "in easy mode". Related, i'm still not a fan of the HMG, the scope is still upside-down and it's stlll bouncing around like it's a stupidly high caliber handgun (or the AC) not a HEAVY machine gun doing a fraction of the damage per-shot while the weapon is bigger than a chargers leg. Most weapon recoil in general is built like enemies can't tank 5-20 shots tot he weak-point before feeling it.

09:20 My way of solving how to explain the way it turns is saying "Clockwise" or "counter-clockwise". At least most people understand that, because "left" and "right" might mean different things to people due to how the handle turns the dish.

For bugs I actually prefer the Blitzer. At least when it's not bugged out like mad. Incen Breaker has good damage on paper, but as the gameplay shows its lack of stagger and reliance on DoT damage to secure the kill makes you SUPER vulnerable to Hunters. With the Blitzer, anything not killed is staggered and a total lack of needing to reload means you're never caught with your pants down by the Hunters. Shriekers can be a bit annoying, but with a bit of patience you can take them out as they charge and dive out of the way of their corpse. Again, unless it's bugged out like crazy and impacts on the air 2 inches in front of the barrel for no reason.

Good classic fun. Having the old patrols back really lets you choose how/when to engage. I know I have been on if the people complaining you were too pessimistic but this is the content I prefer. Positive/neutral title and fun content. Keep it up

Why I usually don't mind gunship patrols is because they don't track you like patrols used to, so you can avoid them. And when it's time to fight them (preferably not when in bot spawn loop) you can take you time, crouch and aim, with your AC or AMR, cause if you are fighting just them (and some small bot group) it's easy. Unlike when trying to destroy double gunship factory, where some bot usually calls for drop ship and now you are fighting hulks while gunships keep spawning. Others usually shoot them now, didn't use to be a case.

probably has to do with the lighting change to artificial light sources. I've seen theories that it's why the bots have a shinier coat of paint now as well

For primaries to compete with the breaker incendiary vs bugs the rifles need to be a touch more like the stalwart. Or just literally be the stalwart. it's a ton of fun to bring against the bugs, assuming you've got some back up to support it. Y'know, cause it's taking your support weapon slot. the regular rifles need to do a substantial more amount of damage or have increased fire rates and ammunition.

just give gunships light armor, so you can damage them with any weapon, and let them spawn at the edge of the map,so they have to travel to the players. Maybe even give them a scary sound when they approach firing distance, which will alert players to their presence

Played this mission. The objective bugged out and the ground below it absorbed any hellpod that landed on it. We were not able to interact with the box and because it was indestructable we could do nothing but wait for mission fail. Fun stuff

Hey dough, you can dodge the first hunter by strafing diagonally against it's jump spot, it's finicky but better than just running in their direct jump path

bro you can dodge hunters jump attacks last time i checked…. you can even stun them with melee while they pounce at you but it’s harder to hit it at the right moment, to evade them you need to change direction going perpendicularly to they’re attack jump

rada terminal, to press right or left, use 12 o clock position as a reference; press left for anticlockwise (meter will move to left of 12 o clock if it's at 12o clock), press right for clockwise vice versa

if you are annoyed at how much dmg you are taking, try this. "medium armor with extra padding" "but i need stims, i take so much dmg". but if you change the armor you will take less dmg and wont need the stims.

My thoughts on changes to all breakers so that breaker incen stops outclassing literally everything. Breaker incendiary gets a nerf to fire DPS, but a buff to fire duration so that the total damage remains same or increases. The goal is to make incendiary breaker a good weapon to spam into hordes if everything isn’t directly in your face. Regular breaker gets significantly more damage and fire rate, along with small buffs to extra mags, recoil, and bullets per mag. The goal is to make it good for when an enemy or group is in your face and needs immediate death (hunters), but it’s less effective for sustained fire and drawn out engagements (you’ll need your support weapon for that) Breaker spray and pray gets slightly reduced damage, but significantly more rounds per mag and extra magazines. The goal is to make a breaker that is weaker, but is very good on ammo and can deal with many situations.

I think the Stim frustrations all come from the fact that the sound plays instantly when you press the button and your helldiver begins the stim animation, but if for whatever reason that .4 or .5 second animation is interrupted, it stops, but you heard the sound for a second. I think they should just start the healing as soon as the button is pressed and not care when the needle finishes administering the drug in the animation.

4:00 yeah, that was kind of just it. Just those three, well more like two, points. Gunship rocket barrage too accurate. (Less lead time between them locking on can firing, so there is less available window to juke the barrage by tricking the targeting system.) and the 'New' patrols of Bettys / Gunships seem to be on a different patrol timer / spawn allocation than regular patrols. That second point was kind of mentioned in the patch notes. Bettys were given as an example of having less regular Chargers and Bettys were gonna start showing up in replacement. I just didn't see anything about Bettys and Gunships being on their own separate timer / spawn allocation.

The change with not being able to steer a hellpod when there's high ground really sucks. I feel like we should be able to steer, but that we shouldn't be able to target high ground that may give an unfair advantage. Edit: I know this change was made a while ago, but I didn't notice it immediately and have not made any issue about it until recently, because of how many times it's screwed me over.

You know, underground missions might also be good places to use the mechs. You can't really call in anything else down there, but you can walk your mechs in. Would still like them not to die when sneezed on tho, and the AC should do more durable damage than the throwing knife (realism!).

Nothing wrong with liking the new patrols, but you must admit it is not what the patchnotes/blog said they were going for. In an ideal world they'd make a system where you can add on more difficulty modifiers in return for more samples on the map (or some other reward) and then also add a system where you can spend samples up front to get some extra help (like extra stratagems or removing a bad modifier etc). That way if you want more challenge and more reward, you can. A more intense fight but more tools and regular rewards? Sure! An easier bug-killing fest with reduced rewards? Go for it!.

If you get stun locked by a singular hunter like that, a melee can give you enough time to stim properly, or diving out of range and then stimming

100% agree with ya about how most primary are about vs Bug...I don't have the incendiary yet unlocked...but I tried it once, picked up the rifle from dead teammate and I saw how better it was. I feel it lacks a bit of stopping power but the fire damage is nice against bugs... also hunters I hate them the most, and the things about spamming stim and not getting heal and dying happens to me all the time...like often you get out of it. MOst of the time , I am not fast enough and die from diving in the wrong direction...or panicking and hesitating and I just get killed by them. I also don't always have the reflex to dive in time... also I saw a couple time AI of your bugs just not working like Charger standing there not doing nothing...it never happens to me...charger never stand still waiting to be killed...I saw that in a few of your video...its crazy. Anyways your video are always fun to watch and informative.

I've been watching this channel since HD2 came out. And I've really enjoyed it. Still loving your content. But something has defo changed. You're so very negative now, and you very rarely focus on any of the positive changes to the game anymore. I'm not trying to diss you or anything. It just feels like you're no longer enjoying the game anymore. Even after the huge patch that made a majority of the changes you (along with many of the community) have been asking for. I'll still keep watching your vids and dropping likes on them, because you're a genuinely good player and you seem like a stand-up guy. But it defo feels like you're letting the more toxic side of the community affect you. Peace out, brother.

The community doesn't have much to do with the negativity. The game is missing the mark on enjoyment still considering loadout diversity wasn't improved much at all for killing enemies and that was the whole goal of the patch

Flying patrols, Automatons auto aim, and Charger Bohemoths are Alexus' hands in this patch. It's very obvious. Those are the only things that have been "On Brand" with previous patches. For termanids, hunters get me killed the most. Even if they aren't the ones who deal the last damage, they're the reason why i'm about to die or why the other buggerz are able to catch up and kill me. Even when other enemies are able to apply acid, with the amount of hunters and their ability to stagger me out of my stim they get me killed. On the Automatons side, it's any enemy with a rocket. It domes me mid helldive. Crazy. 2nd place though is heavy devastators since sometimes they'll keep firing through the stagger and rip me to shreds.

i was excited to try this mission out after i got back from work. and thats a nope right out the gate, cause of course its only available on level 7+ missions. I like this game, and i feel that over time the devs will get the balancing to where it needs to be, but i just cannot bring myself to join a game of randoms just to play a single mission type. i would rather play this game solo, but i am well aware of my limits, and sadly i dont have the skill (or luck i guess) to solo level 7 missions. i tried to solo a level 6 when the new patch dropped, but i actually had to call in a friend because by the end i was getting absolutely hammered! did the spawn rates get buggerd again or something cause level 3 has like no enemies, 4 is underwhelming, 5 is average (except when a pack of 20 hunters rear their ugly faces) and 6 feels like 7! im looking at how you play and the stuff you do, but i have no freaking clue as to how you can solo level 9s. Like what the hell am i doing wrong?

Bug tunnel would be nice like the automaton strategem blocker. Cant reinforce while inside ether. Then place a mission specific explosive inside. Maybe something called down before going in ether handheld or on a backpack.

Something I wish for the Illuminate or the bots if the Illuminate never arrive is to have a Battlefield 2142 esque mission where you have to board a low flying ship and destroy its engine or core from the inside and then get out before the ship blows up. Having to fight through cramped corridors and halls filled with bots/squid sounds like a sick idea to me.

It's time to start the fine tuning for game balance. Even experienced developers can't predict the results of complete overhaul. Once difficulty 9 become manageable on the border between "fire in the ass" and "cool challenge" - that's where you need to stop.
