Challenge requested by @shadowwolf2608 The goal was to leave behind as little pollution and trash as possible, so our future democratic inhabitants could live in a more eco-friendly environment. Only energy weapons were allowed, since they don't eject any casings, but i was not allowed to reload. Eagles were banned, i was not allowed to blow up hellbombs or even use the SEAF-arti. Support weapons, backpacks and sentries were also all banned, because they come in a hellpod. And finally, no resupplies were allowed, for exactly the same reason.
Great run, but you missed the most important aspect of a Leave No Trace eco-friendly run: you removed precious native resources from the environment! Gotta go redo it all over again but with no samples taken this time :P
Ngl the SEAF arty restriction is kinda dumb, since orbitals are still allowed. As for hellbombs, once they go off, I don’t think there would be much of a hellpod left to worry about lol
I guess the goal was to make it hard, hellbombs could potentially harm the wildlife + we don't really know what they put in them. As of SEAF-arti, well, the rounds come in casings as far as i know so i think that was the thought process behind this restriction.
That was by far the most amazing showcase of skill for Helldivers 2. 4 Stims used, 3 thermite grenades used. No backpack and no resupplies called, map cleared and per usual, No Deaths. Also cudos for teaching this level 94 a new trick, I didn't know you could call down stratagems after super destroyer leaves as long as it's loaded in your hand ready to throw. Absolutely amazing video Sarge
First, thank you once again for attempting this challenge, Sarge. It means a lot to me and it put a smile on my face. Second, I'd say that you exceeded it, though that is because I should have been a bit more clear on some things. I meant that you couldn't use the SEAF arti mini nuke shells since nuclear fallout is bad, but I had envisioned that you could still use it. Regarding the resupplies, I definitely should have clarified that the goal was to minimize how many you leave behind alongside expended ammo casings and empty magazines, hence the energy weapons. I also wasn't clear that Strat weapons like the ark thrower, laser cannon, and quasar cannon were allowed. After watching this from start to finish, I guess they weren't needed. Third, if you're indeed going for a max pollution run, I recommend the Eagle napalm and smoke strikes along with the orbital gas strike. You get the chemical gas, smoke and fire, and whatever comes out of the Eagle's engines! Try to find a bug planet that has a free flame thrower, and then run it with supply backpack, incendiary breaker, thermite or incendiary grenades, and the grenade pistol. You'll make short work of bug breaches if you combo gas and napalm right on top of it. Personally, I would recommend that no one tries this challenge again simply because it doesn't seem to be any fun at all. Hopefully, we see a booster that makes throwing knives retrievable, and some sort of supply drone. I'd imagine it be like the extraction shuttle where you can call it in and then have a short window to select several things that you want it to bring you. That would then mean that you could at least have resupplies and backpacks without leaving hellpods behind, giving this challenge a much needed injection of fun.
Don't worry brother, you gave me a cool idea and that's really what matters here. I just wanted to make it as eco-friendly as possible cuz that was the main goal. I honestly didn't mind it being a bit more challenging 😉
Bro.... amazing run! I didn't know you could type in a stratagem, hold the beacon and actually use it after time ran out like bro.. that just blew my mind😂
I was seriously wondering if you were going to make it at the end! And today I learned as long as I load the strategem, I can still use it even if the super destroyer is leaving low orbit.
Nice run! TIL: As long as you get a strat ball programmed before mission time expires, you can throw it even after the super destroyer has left low orbit (i.e., mission time has expired). That can be especially handy (no pun intended) if, as was true in this case, SEAF artillery is unavailable.
@@stoywarshockofficial9984 a pretty useful trick that i've learned from you guys, but as far as i know it only works for orbitals. I could be wrong tho
Nice. You ever going to try and do a stim less run whilst trying to kill as many enemies as possible? :P Cos I've done it for both bots (455 kills) and bugs (786 kills) and would love to see you try it too.
