NEW IDEA FOR AN EAGLE STRIKE: Thermobaric barage. The eagle pre-emptively deploys explosive smoke missiles mid-dive, and on the swoop down, it releases an incendiary device with a parachute that slowly descends on the expanding cloud until... BOOM, a massive explosion with a damage radius limited to the gas volume but no fall off engulfs liberty's enemies. (*I cannot be held liable for any helldiver deaths this may cause*)

I'd love this! I already use smoke strikes to take out fabricators but to light it on fire afterwards while being stealth or obscuring accuracy would be such a cool way to combine players stratagems or use a fire weapons to ignite it. I can imagine what certain capabilities you could do with this if you threw it under a factory strider? Could it blind the gatling gun turrets and corrode devastator spawns? While also blowing up or nerfing the heavy turret on top? 🤔 Maybe I'm asking too much lol

@KalenTomlinson because of the explosive medium being a gas, it would spread into the nooks and crannies of any automaton fabricator, blowing it up from the inside. As for factory striders, it would be pretty hard to hit the opening in its underbelly because the incendiary device would just plonk on its back. But if the smoke missiles hit its back, the explosion would take off the main gun and damage it a decent amount. I would say it is possible for you to destroy the strider in one hit if you called the thermobaric barage next to it and the gas went under it just in time for the smoke to reach the opening by the time the slow falling incendiary device ignites it, but it would require some serious finesse, helldiver.

How about a flare run for dark spore planets that illuminates for like 60 seconds, I’ve fought in near total dark fights where the explosions were the only light

With how foggy the planets are the flare would make It harder to see since the fog will turn luminescent.

I think best way to help with visibility is when they introduce helmet perks. Where you could have helmets that allow you to toggle night vision/infrared/heat vision.

"AC130" gunship. Player control, 2-3 different weapon types, flies around the selected area for X seconds, afterwards the Helldiver deploys from the Gunship OR you control it remotely somehow. Perhaps a little mountable control station that drops down to the ground which you enter.

That would be so cool. Like then it would need 2 Helldivers at the control and could deal massive damage, but you would be defenseless while busy steering the gunship and aiming the guns. Would be cool team thing where the others stick around to cover the busy ones

A deployable Anti Air system would be nice. Like a sentry with quad stingers to get dropships and gunships off your ass until those four missiles are gone.

Already in the game the rocket sentry does lock on to bot drops idk about gunships but I think it will lock on to gunship too BIG but I think the sentry will prioritize ground units over air

I think a Flak Turret emplacement would be better, kinda like the HMG emplacement it would be manually controlled but unlike the HMK it’s mainly for AA and heavy targets

​@@kashifraja8451I don't know what you're talking about. The Spear is a garunteed one shot kill on Gunships. It doesn't lock the engine of a Dropship, so it doesn't one shot DROPSHIPS.

Eagle Plasma bombardment: drops plasma bombs that burn through heavy armor and causing it to crack open, leaving heavy enemies more vulnerable

The idea of a stratagem to collect samples mid mission would be amazing for farming samples. How many times you get the samples but die or a glitch and can’t extract but a stratagem ensures you got them anyways

I am currently waiting for the buff patch. Hope they make weapons feel good to shoot. My number 1 issue is the ammo reserves. Lots of bugs, just let me go "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR".....

The Scickle nerf really annoyed me for that, against bugs you could hose off a couple of heat sinks no issue as an improvised LMG, but then the nerf and now that leaves you with 1 heat sink till the hext resupply, it really hampered how you could use it

You still should be tactical. Ammo is just never an issue if you plan just a little bit ahead. I use plasma punisher on bots 80% of the time. Has 8 shots. 8. I find it plenty. Don't forget, we have refreshing air strikes and orbitals.

Thats the point of the gun. If it had six heat sinks itd just be a liberator with 30 more rounds. You get 5 8p round mags essentially that can refill automatically by not shooting. What mote do you want?​@@maddlarkin

Eagle air superiority - Eagle 1 takes up an anti air role for 1 min. Using gatling gun and 110 rocket pods to down gunship, shriekers, and the occasional drop ship. However all other eagle strategyms are unavailable during this period. 1 use and must rearm afterwards. Feels like a good risk reward to me.

Sty a fun fact about the A10 hog was that the 30mm GAU (minigun at the front) was designed and the engineers basically said "let's put some wings on it". In terms of an Eagle Strategem I would like to see some sabot rounds that punches through the heavy armor types.

1: 710 OIL SLUDGE: larger area dump (twice the width but shorter distance of an 'eagle airstrike') that slightly slows all inside/it hits (weighs down and lowers chance of hunter and stalker jumps). can be set ablaze for long term burn damage. sticks to all it lands on. Can get in the crevasses of heavy's body/armor for damage. cannot be set ablaze in water and can be removed by helldiver by 2 dives/dive and crawl/diving into water. separate form of burn damage that can stack with other but different types of burning damage. 2: EMP DETONATION: eagle drops bomb, 2 seconds (plane needs to get away) later very large blast that permanently knocks smaller mechs offline while larger mechs need to 'restart/reboot'. allowing helldivers to get into position to hit weak points/move/run. the larger the enemy the faster the reboot. Helldivers caught in it lose stratagems for ~6 seconds. no problem on stratagems already in the midst of being called in. TERMINID VERSION of same stratagem: sound shockwave that kills small bugs and even hunters if they are close to epicenter. short term daze the rest of the larger bugs (stops chargers stampede and make them act as if they just hit a boulder) 3: STATIC FIELD REDESIGN: Make it a combustible particle cloud that amplifies explosions (raising damage potential of explosions) allowing things like the grenade launcher and grenades to directly damage heavies. the more/larger explosions used the weaker the cloud gets. So, use things like the grenade launcher 10 times or call in a 500k for 1 massive 'MOAB' 4: LASER FENCE: this stratagem requires two throwing markers. the eagle will shoot two small pods that raise poles, deploying 3 horizontal lines of lasers connecting the two poles for a time. objects can disrupt the beams, but the beams will still go up to said objects. lasers weaken if too far apart or doesn't work at all and you'll have to throw the 2nd one again. After the first marker lands the second is available to throw and shows a green to yellow to red radial indicator showing where the laser strength drops off. 5: EAGLE EYE LASER: Much stronger than orbital but only lasts the 1 second that is the fly-by and is very thin. Only about the width of the helldiver. 2 throwing stratagem markers. first one is where it starts. second one it's direction. insta kills/cuts/burns everything in two except for the big AT-AT and the bile titan (they both get damaged but will be killed if damage along the lines of both bile sacks destroyed). Or make it weaker and give us 3 charges. 6: HELL OF AN IMPLOSION: Drop a gravity bomb that sucks anything in from a large radius a specific distance for moderate damage but more for condensing for concentrated fire (can be used to pull enemies away from you/objective/party member/off a cliff into a ravine since you threw it on the other side/ etc. 7: MIRAGE BEACONS: 6 plates are scattered around the call down beacon that create 3d images of helldivers that do no damage or anything bug just distract/get aggro for a time. plates can be destroyed by explosions but are mines themselves so if they get walked up to while they are active, boom. (specific thought that came to mind was to get a hulk/berserkers/AT-AT to turn to it's side or even its back to you as well as others in the area)

I have seen new plane wreckages in maps recently that don't resemble Eagle or Pelican. This new model shown matches the tail section and thrusters of the wreckages.

Callsign Eagle 2? 1000kg bomb, and extend the blast radius of the 500kg and a new varient that drops two at a time but its mainly heavy amounts of shrapnel that shoots in all directions.

I have seen people recently talking about new orbital/ egal stratagems ideas and thought of a few ideas also. They are: Mind control spikes - The egal locks onto a number of enemies and when it does you see a Lazer pointed at each enemies head (kinda like how the orbital railgun shot works) and after a moment a large spike implants itself into the enemies heads/ bodies. The spike sends pulses of electricity throughout the enemies body damaging the enemy overtime but it also sends a signal to the enemy to attack other nearby enemies until it dies. It may take multiple spikes to take control of larger units. Self deployable electricl fence - Basically you can choose an area on the ground and the egal will fly past dropping a fortified electrical fence. The fence will fall in a straight line horizontaly from the player and the animation will show the fence quickly fallong from the sky. The fence poles will then price the ground one at a time and may even impale smaller enemies if they are below the pole. Armoured units that are hit by the pole during deployment will destroy that specific segment of the fence upon impact. The fence when fully deployed can take a good amount of damage and damages nearby entities. It's possible to shoot through the fence. Nano bot canisters - The egal drops a container full of nano bots. Once the bots drop they will form small groups and move towards the nearest target. They will then attach to enemies slowing them down and doing a small bit of damage over time, the attached bots will attack one at a time and will die after it attacks. If the enemy dies with a bot cluster still attached to it, the bots seek out a new enemy.

For bots the shield relay is really good for cover on demand. 30 seconds is a surprisingly long time in a firefight and the cooldown is so short you can use it in every fight.

Enemy AI will always prioritize drops. Like any: sentries, deliveries like backpacks or supplies. You can use those strategically and with a lot of luck / skill you can even kill biggies with them

Three things I’d like to see: * a Davy Crockett mortar, basically a mortar that unleashes hellbomb explosions (judicious use recommended) * similar: a grenade type, that delivers the explosion of a Hellbomb. You only get/need one, of course. * a tower structure that can be dropped down by Eagle 1, that the Helldivers can climb up, with turret stations that Helldivers can enter at the top and a level halfway up, also with extra supplies. * some kind of one handed weapon that makes it possible to accurately fire when you are running away- a gun intended for run-away * little mines that you can drop behind you as you are running away; there would be some kind of strategy of “pulling” enemies so that they chase after you, and you would use this weapon as they are chasing after you

I don't have an eagle strat idea but... What about a mini dart drone!? Instead of it taking a strategem slot. It could be placed in the grenade slot! It would be a small drone that is activated when player presses the grenade key. It can be armed with Incendiary, Gas, or EMS darts. Super high tech from the ministry of science. I think these dart drones would be a great help for Solo players, and having something small watch your back without having to sacrifice your back pack slot and a strategem slot. A super compact drone that sits flush against the helldiver's left hip and outer thigh. A consistent semi auto fire rate for small targets, bigger targets get a three round burst. Incendiary and Gas explode on contact, while EMS darts use hypodermic needle heads and can penetrate any lvl of armor. Cuz sometimes I just need a little something to watch my back while I reload my Auto Cannon.

here's my suggestion • smart bombs. smart laser guided bonbs that find the nearest valuable target and guide themselves onto the target (functionaly, smaller yield railguns that can one shot medium enemies but you'd need multiple bombs to take out bigger stuff like a hulk) • Bouncing bombs. (it hits with a 400KG boom, which releases another bomb into the air that comes down with an affect like a smaller area airbirst cannon. • extra supply drop. (pushes a crate out the back which explodes to reveal additional ammo supplies, each one filling the helldiver to full on all ammo types)

Pelican 1 CAS gunship. Orbits the area for 20-30 seconds, shelling enemies in and around the area the stratagem beacon landed in.

one stratagem i think would be cool is a manual controlled Mortar strike similar to the turret, but once you get in opens mini map to select the 3 target locations, then fires. (also got a ton more ideas based on ones we already have in game too)

So you know how if you leave the EVAC Zone as the Pelican-1 is coming down it will hover and shoot enemies. I think a good Stratagem idea a hovering Pelican-1 that either gives locational air support or it follows you for a bit and then return to refuel/rearm. It could be called Pelican-2 or Falcon-1.

Eagle Quasar Strike. It would work similarly to the Orbital Rail Cannon thing, but it targets the largest 3-5 enemies/structures and hits them with simultaneous Quasar blasts, or if there aren't multiple targets it can hit the same target multiple times at the same time.

A heavy bomber that fires a mini orbital laser in a straight line with a lower cooldown and a heavy bomber which drops a hellbomb which needs to be manually activated or shot for large or medium explosions respectively acting as an alternative to the 500 kg which can be used as a makeshift trap

Like the distuption, we had something similar like a dune bumper. it was a fun way to play. we managed a helldiver mission without firiring one shot. sure not the action we know but it was extremly fun to pull off

I was just discussing with my roommate about a delpoyable barricade that would unfurl from the drop pod, able to withstand up medium penetration (5 or 6). The eagle dropping down a line of explosive gel that you can detonate via mini explosion would be cool. Or dropping down 2 or 3 pylon set which create an electric fence in between.

One idea could be something like the Huey idea. Pelican 1 comes down, picks up you/squad and you have hmgs on each side, maybe with rockets. One squad mate could also pilot the plane. You could rain down lead until p1 runs low on fuel, then drops you back down, then heads out.

Eagle multi-weapon strike, you only get 1 (2 with the ship module) but the egale comesmun an unloads the roatary, the standard strike and rockets on one pass sort of a straight line alternative to the 550kg

I think one eagle strategem that would be a fun throwaway, similar to the democratic boombox idea, would be just like a small air show strategem where multiple eagles would fly by with super earth themed contrails, doing small formations, and/or letting off a few fireworks on their pass. It doesn't necessarily have to give a buff but i think it would be a fun flex pick.

What about a fifth upgrade for the hangar, where the eagle unloads everything it had equipped in 1 run (for instance, 3 rocket pods and 2 500kg if you brought those), but it takes 2-3 times longer to restock than normal after using it

I found one of these crashed Bombers before, we where all wondering what this was since none of us in the group ever saw it. That was months ago. It had a container you could open and samples scattered around. Was a massive crash site actually, hard to miss.

D69 Distraction Beacon: calls in a beacon device, like the SOS, that causes all enemies within the area to be attracted to it distracting them from key objectives or yourself until they destroy it. I feel like it would be useful as some objectives can be really hard to take out when they have a million enemies so it would be a way to not necessarily kill them but allow you some breathing room to get in and infiltrate (great for stealth builds). It would also be useful when you have wandering patrols that you need to get past.

well we got Railgun and Railcannon,so a Rail Emplacement maybe or Turret,Flamer Turret/Emplacement,like 3-4 poles when deployed makes a electric fence,suicide drone with exposive/napalm or gas.

I mean a harrier style stratagem would be cool. Something that lingers for a short while that offers maybe medium pen support fire from the sky… I could see it possibly power creep a turn but I don’t think it would completely over shadow them

Be a bit of work but some sort of helicopter type of stratagem could be cool, in that you can call it down and move it around the map to act as some sort of mobile sentry with whatever weapons you have unlocked

i guess the bomber will drop multiple 500kgs like a normal eagle strike or do that type of eagle strike 2 maybe 3 times before it leaves somewhat like the orbital barrage but actually hitting what you want it to hit

Oh my god the Ion cannon from the GDI would be absolutely insane. I love this idea, and yes it is different from orbital laser, as it is more of a nuke while the laser is sustained concentrated damage. I also love an ac-130 (good old cod days) or pelican stratagems

something I would find cool is a electric strike. Similar to the napalm or smoke. it would cover an area with an electric field that zaps anything inside/in proximity of it.

Bear with me on this one, For all air support stratagem we have the more obvious ones Eagle 1: -Gas run -Micro missiles: similar to rocket pods but more less potent missiles that have no target priority -Supersonic missile: not sure about this one but I think there is such things as kinetic missiles that get fired at fast speed and cause devastation -EMP bomb: drop a device that continuously creates an ems field for a long time Bomber (We’ll call Condor 1 for now) -Carpet bomb: blankets a massive area with similar bombs to eagle 1s run -Carpet cluster: absolute death and destruction, unavoidable casualties -Carpet napalm: hellfire, dark fire -Carpet gas/smoke And for the more fun ones -Carpet mines: cover a massive area in anti-personnel or incendiary mines -Fat boy: it’s a nuke…. less potent than an ICBM but still a nuke -Missile swarm: bomber fires a swarm of micro to macro missiles that home in on enemies (either at random or prioritize big targets) basically the chad rocket pods Lastly any stratagem that calls something in, robots or what not, should be a pelican stratagem like mechs Pelican 1: Goons: both a human variant that has been leaked and robo men More mechs and vehicles Maybe a larger version of pelican for BIG vehicles

Eagle Gas strike Eagle fuel air bomb (heavy bomb with big AEO but cant destroy heaviest units) Eagle 30mm strafing Eagle supply drop Eagle mines drop Eagle Pulse cannon strike (heavy penentration guided pulse cannon that focuses the heavies target - like orbital cannon strike but on eagle) Eagle guided missile strike (large heat seaking guided AT missiles strike 2-3 targates at a time dealing big damage) Eagle Patrol - patrols the area and engages all types of enemies with a mix of rockets and cannon for a longer period of time (about 1-1:30 min) Pelican 1 autocannon support (orbits around a wide area providing air support for a full 60s - cant use around Anti air vs automatons) Pelican 1 rocket support (same but shoots rockets - better as AT) Pelican 1 grande launcher support (best vs. everything but heavy units - unlock at lower lvl maybe) Anti - air Sentry (shoots down bot dropships) Orbital precission autocanon support (large rapid fire autocannons rain lead on a wide area with AT and AEO damage) I have plenty of ideas. What I will say is somehow all the strategems and weapons should be level locked. The power level should influence what can you use and what you cant. On high dificulty the stronger and powerful strategems are available but not on medium or easy diff. This way good and very strong things can stay so but u can only play them on very high levels.

Rep-80 Mk3 aka medic healing beam. a purely defensive support weapon to increase a fireteams longevity on the battlefield. To prevent friendly fire incidents, always, always remember to check whether the REP-80 is actually equipped before attempting healing.

Watchdog scout: a support weapon watchdog that you can control and fly a certain distance from you. You can shoot enemies with it without revealing your actual location, but while controlling the drone, you can be easily attacked so you might want to have someone guard you. Maybe it would need to come back to recharge after a certain amount of time as well so it wouldn't be too broken. Also, I want a watchdog that you can attach your own primary to. Imagine a breaker incendiary on a drone

Only just reach level 20 so I don't know if there is one or not but a booster that gives kinetic primary and secondary weapons (non energy based weapons) extended magazines for more pewpewness.

Eagle should drop poisoned 'lazy dog' cluster munitions. Basically big heavy flechettes, which do DOT to bugs. Armor piercing but take time to arrive as the eagle drops them from the edge of space. So maybe something like an 8 second call in but they'll blanket an area directly in front of you like a strafing run. Also a guided anti tank missile would be neat. Two per Eagle.

Firefly Capsules. 3 separate capsules drop apart from each other in a line (like the normal airstrike shells do) but once it lands it takes a second after which the capsules burst open releasing small hovering explosives that act as the sort of cloud minefield that creates mini explosions when someone walks through them. They'll settle after a couple seconds and will acts as weaker landmines but they will expire not too long after landing on the ground.

You can find this bomber in game, I have found wrecks of it once. Even though I have 400 hours in game I only have seen it once but it was really cool and without a doubt the wreck was simalar to that picture.

Other than a gas drop for the eagle 1 strikes, I really would love to see an orbital strike that fires just 3 shots in a triangle pattern. Kind of like the 120mm but pretty much all hit at the same time.

It would be easy to implement and develop for a stratagem that sends down shield generators on each ' divers location and then as soon as the shields activate it just carpet bombs the whole area with a strong enough caliber round to take down a bile-titan/mech-factory and a 15 min CD. (A Green burning Napalm that sticks to everything FTW IMO for the best visual effect)

I would like a concussive strike. Sort of like the cluster bombs - a wide area cc tool that would kill tiny enemies but stagger and displace bigger enemies. It would be a nice middle ground between cluster bombs and airstrike in terms of power :D

Eagle anti-tank missile a single shot with low or no aoe but always one shots most enemies and always damages bile titans enough to be finished with primary weapons or just buff the rocket pods. You could make it be a tank cannon mounted to the heavy bomber like the ju88 p1. Also, Eagle gas strike would be cool.

I think what will be cool is call in a eagle 1 and somehow be the gunner and hover around the area and shoot down below, clearing out the enemies like the rebel U-wing in Battlefront II (2017). Just an idea

Eagle strike needs an accompanying Falcon Squadron. My idea is cluster strafe area clearing. Falcons would be like lighter, yet faster Eagles. Smaller pay loads, but in for the fun. So the idea is that Eagle-1 with an accompanying squadron of 8 Falcons to a cluster bomb and strafing cross clearing run. 4 Falcons come in across the beacon one direction dropping their pay load of cluster bombs and a split second after they hit, Eagle-1 and the other 4 Falcons in formation fly in from the other direction and strafe across. You get 2 throws of this with the justification of that's really all the Falcon is able to hold. 1 strafing run and 1 cluster bomb run worth of ammo. Eagle-1 is the mama bird in the sky and she leads them, but 4 Falcons will cluster bomb one direction, the other 4 will strafe with Eagle-1 and then they swap. The 4 that bombed will now strafe and the ones that strafe will drop their bombs. They could even clearly mark them with yellow and black falcons to designate that Yellow Falcons are first ones in (the first to bomb) and Black Falcons are the last ones out (the second to strafe). Best part is that this won't effect Eagle-1 that much. All you'd need to do is either have the Eagle Strafe on already or make it it's own stratagem. But my point is that Eagle-1 won't be constrained to the same ammo restrictions as Falcons. On the subject of a new aerial support craft along side Eagle-1, Gas strikes should be a thing. I'm not talking like the napalm strikes. I'm talking like low flying crop-dusting gas. Get buzzed by Eagle-1 and she's laying down a cloud of noxious gas behind her as she sweeps over the battle field. I think the 500kg should get an option for it. It's good as is, but I think adding a dive bomb approach to give it further bunker busting inertia would be cool. Dropping tesla pylons would also be cool. Like a line of them and they arc between themselves making essentially an electric fence. The weakness to them being that the pylons aren't as strong as tesla towers and they deal less damage than the towers do. They also won't arc that far away from them except to another pylon. Anything within that pylon to pylon path will get mega zapped, but like from the side it's more like a weak DOT effect. I'm just throwing all kinds of ideas. Something's got to stick.......A Tactical General Brasch?

It could be an orbital too, but i'd like a starshell strike. Essentially, deploy multiple very bright flares in the sky, that will illuminate the ground. A lot of the recent worlds i've been to have been very dark.

Honestly the idea of having a heavy bomber alongside Eagle-1 would be quite fun, call it Dragon-1 (or some other large flying creature themed callsign), and have it have take longer between strikes and to rearm, but drop significantly more firepower over a larger area (Think the 120, 380 and rolling barrages).
