My favorite railgun build for bots lately has been jump pack, the railgun (obviously), emancipator, and an eagle I pair it with the scorcher (for gunships and others), senator (cause I'm a fuckin cowboy) and impacts for closing down fabricators and destroying objectives and smaller enemies. It becomes a really neat gunslinging build, where you use your senator for most of the small guys, your railgun for the heavy hitters, and the scorcher as a supplement to the railgun, makes ammo a balancing act between all three guns very effectively and allows you to move around super quick and efficiently. And then if you need to rip ass you can call down an emancipator and get to work, just pay attention to your placement so you aren't sniped across the map by a cannon turret.
Loved the "cause I'm a fucking cowboy" part, haha. Like the well-rounded-ness of the build, especially the scorcher for the gunships. Loving the jump pack too. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@IntrusiveThot420 Not the original commenter, but I do agree that I typically find these videos more interesting/enjoyable than the solo helldive ones. IMO, it's primarily 2 things. The first is that I simply like seeing teamplay and how people deal with randoms, along with the banter and moments that happen, like S1's final stand at the research station in this video. I also just find the content more engaging in general, likely cause it's how I play, but all of this is totally personal preference. The other reason, and what I think OP was getting at here, is that a lot of those people who did solo helldive content early on were extremely harsh on other players and the game as a whole. I'm not saying you're like that, I took a look at your channel and you seem pretty chill. But while most of those creators have left for the next big game, they unfortunately soured that content for me and likely many others. Basically, just not my content, and the whiny creators in that space kind of ruined it for me anyways. Unfortunately, since my problems with it are personal, I can't really give anything specific in terms of improvement. But nothing against you, you seem to be doing well and I respect it. I even took a look at some of your videos (the 2 most recent as of typing) and honestly might continue watching, you do a good job explaining your thoughts and reasons behind things! Interestingly this is the same setup that i use but for the bugs except with the tenderizer. If you use the rocket pods on a titan and get all 6 rockets to hit the head it takes like 6 unsafe railgun shots "but might need 1 or 2 more" Also for gunships. Try replacing the gatling barage for the HMG emplacement if you run this build again. It works surprisingly well!
So another railgun build I've been running has been: Medium Padded or Democracy Protects Dominator, Grenade Pistol, Stubs Railgun, Supply Pack, Rocket Sentry, Autocannon Sentry The dual sentries mean you can alternate and they just evicerate gunships. The turrets are very effective against Factory Striders as well, and if you get a big bot drop you can throw one off to the side to create heavy crossfire. A lot of fun.
Good stuff. There's something satisfying about one shotting a devastator with the rail gun. Also recently discovered the grenade launcher is pretty underrated for bots. I'm just not great at aiming it.
Appreciate it! Yeah the grenade launcher has always been a solid pick for me. I can't aim so well either, I just spam a lot into a group and it usually works well. I feel that it needs maybe one more extra mag. I blow through the 2 reserve mags pretty quickly. Thanks for checking out the video!
The Railgun is very enjoyable until Gunships start to spawn Edit: my favorite thing about Railgun with bots is that with the Un-Safe mode you can one shot Devastators with just aiming at the Torso (might not work sometimes from behind)
Really enjoy your videos, your guides have been super useful, i would like to see a video using either of the big artillery barrages, i never feel like i get a huge return on them, i.e. they clear some stuff but usually leave enough to not make it as valuable. P.S. i love your jet pack builds and it makes me want to try them.

I just didn't see the operation modifier where there were gunships patrols active. A lot of the difficulty 9 missions have that "Gunship patrol" modifier on them. If they're not there, there's still a chance for gunship fabricators to be a side objective, but I feel a lot better bringing a railgun on those missions where the patrols aren't mentioned. My experience is that the railgun sometimes doesn't shoot where I am aiming to. Very often right/left of the reddot. Can you confirm that? 21:17 for example.. right on the target, but miss while standing still.
I hear what you're saying and I agree. There are times when the ADS isn't as accurate as I feel like it should be. My shots are deviating slightly from where I'm trying to shoot at it. For me it either goes slightly or the side or below, never above the dot. Thanks for checking out the video!

I think the AMR is better currently, especially on the bot front. The AMR is able to take out the factory strider/gunships/tanks/cannon turrets, which are things that the railgun struggles with. Thanks for checking out the video!
You're not tripping. You can shoulder swap while you aim. For me on PC it was one of my mouse buttons. Not sure exactly what the default button is. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!

Technically you can but it takes a lot of unsafe railgun shots on the same engine. Not sure how much but I’d personally not use the railgun as a gunship solution. Hope that helps and thanks for checking out the video!
Boring gun tbh Only good against devastators and hulks if you can snipe their eye. No other enemies. If you even try to use it against a tank/tower/dropship/GUNSHIP😂/fabricator/AA turret/Mortar/Bunker/Bunker GUNS EVEN - it will require your whole ammo stock and more. And btw hulks can be killed in their eye by many other support weapons. I just can't use weapon THIS narrowly NICHE when I can just take Autocannon, Commando or Spear and have much more fun Dunno what devs are thinking with this atrocious balance. No wonder people enjoy new Commando rocket launcher. It can take on anything, can be summoned fast if you lose it and it actually makes you feel somewhat powerful
"Railgun is still a beast against bots" - If you want something substantially worse and less flexible than the AMR, AC, Laser Cannon, HMG. Even the Eruptor, a primary, gives it a run for it's money.
@@adriankoch964 i feel like they can just take railgun "as is" and make it primary weapon AND STILL barely 15% or less players will regularily use it Not because of some "skill issue" how tryhards love to say. But just because how bad it feels to use. How unimpactful it is, how it can explode in your hands any time but offers you so miniscule output in return.
