I used to run explosive resistance armor a bunch but now I use grenade armor instead since you can withstand most explosions anyways at the cost of a stim
@@dripwastaken7884This. If I put myself in a position where im hit by a rocket, that explosion resistance isnt worth it. I prefer to not be detected at all and keep the speed and map utility
@@Brandinisnores yeah i basically always run light armor now (stealth or servo assit for bots and extra grenades /servo assit for bugs the extra limb health combined with vitality booster really makes it hard to break a leg!
I think its worth considering swapping the Senator for the grenade pistol to open up your grenade slot for the stun. You only saved yourself from taking damage one time all game with your sidearm so giving up the Senator shouldn't take much from the build and the stun grenade would trivialize Hulks, which seem to be the main thing that can easily overrun you. It's great against bots in general but stun grenade plus AMR/AC/LC just makes Hulks a complete non-issue. Also remember to crouch or prone when you aim the AMR when you can. It reduces the scope sway by a lot.
Yeah this was the only thing that puzzled me this vid. Grenade Pistol doesn't feel as reliable as Impacts, but overall the GP + Stuns feels like better utility, especially when the Pummeler covers you for trash and AMR covers you for armor pen, kinda making the Senator redundant right?
Only time I experience reduced sway is while prone. Even when crouching, the sway is big enough to not able to land head shots consistently. On the PS5 atm, I really really hope that there is going to be an aim assist feature for PS5 only. I'm not saying that it should automatically point my gun to their head, I'm just hoping for some quality of life improvements alongside the aim lock assist (it is still relatively weak at full strength).
@InvaderTroy Right. PC players are notorious for aim-bot like senses even in really dark, low contrast environment. They seem to be able to land a headshot 97% of the time with 1x zoom, extreme sway, and poor lighting conditions. Try playing on the PS5 at 1080p, no VRR, and poor HDR rendering.
Isnt that the CM17 butcher he is rocking ? The heavy +2 stim? The CM 21 trench paramedic is the light version and Takibo took way more hits than a light could endure during the video, or am I tripping ? (Can't be the medium CM14 Physician, no left shoulder tubular pods). Not trying to be that guy, genuinely curious here.
Nice call on the Butcher armor! I'd been using the enforcer armor before (125-ish + fortified), but the extra stim duration and reserves really make this loadout even tankier.
I've been using the B-24 Enforcer armor from the super store instead of medic. Not quite as slow as true heavy armor, but it still has headshot reduction and explosive resistance.
I'll give this a look. I love the medic gear and got all 3 different armor ratings when they showed up in the requisitions tab. My favorite so far has been the trench medic because I typically go off on my own and the extra two stims with the extended effects makes it easier to deal with situations where I get stuck.
Love the vids man! Wish I could get this world roll! My last drop was 2 gunship factories and Rocket Dev patrols lol. Felt like 40 minutes of NBA 2K except I was the ball.
Heya @takibo! Enjoying your videos as always! Thank you for your work and your guidance! I have a question for you that you probably already answered in earlier videos, it's about your keybind and how can you run while calling stratagems. I fell like I probably need to change mine, I have to stop to call the stratagems. If you could share your binds or point me in the right direction that would be amazingggg
Love your vids! Any video title that has loadout or build in it, video should start with a pre drop visual of what you bring in. Just a quality of life for the viewers.
As far as quiet weapons go, I think the quietest sidearm currently is the Peacemaker (tutorial pistol) and I think it'll only be heard by enemies within about 10 meters. I believe the Senator is also fairly quiet but not sure about the alert range on it. Eravin has a bunch of informational HD2 videos about the stealth playstyle. A bunch of weapons are surprisingly quiet. I remember successfully playing stealth-sniper with the Eruptor around its release even though it's apparently a very loud weapon. Some weapons like the crossbow and the grenade pistol are completely silent for all intents and purposes and only the explosion from the detonation of the projectile itself will alert enemies (so you can use it to bait enemy patrols away from you).
You guys ever notice with the AMR how - sight alignment aside - sometimes your shots just seem to vanish? I've fired a shot right at a Hulk eye before, then followed it up after letting recoil adjust and the shot just either "doesn't happen" or somehow goes nowhere near the target? Happens quite frequently. It's like the "recoil reset timing" is longer than the sight picture returning to target or something maybe?
@@abcdefgcdefg5178 Thank you for confirming I'm slightly less insane than I know I am. It's wild how much good will AH has with this game that is still riddled with problems like this. 2024 has been a terrible year for gaming. XD
I think the hitboxes or hit detection is a tad wonky. I hit targets a lot with scoped weapons and watch the bullet pass right through them. I really only notice it on the bots though, not so much on the bugs.
@shemsuhor8763 no worries, I think ah has such good will because we all see what this game COULD be if they stop using nerfs as their main balance tool and get rid of alexus and fix bugs and stop worrying about a warbond every month, but I could be wrong
Having stun grenades helps with the hulks. Stun em, they stand still, hit your shots or drop airstrikes. Also the laser cannon is a good option as your support weapon in this build. But I'll have to try the material rifle as a backup instead and see how it feels.
what i enjoy doing against shield devastators and a shield loadout like this, is either grenade pistol or crouch walk to reduce recoil (slower movement) and area that can be shot
I'd recommend when running away from stuff and they are shooting at your back, switch to your support weapon to put your shield on your back. It will protect you. :)
@@The_Avenger596 Nah nah, he's right about the shield on your back thing. I'm a ballistic shield main for bots and that feature has saved my butt a number of times when running from heavy devs, scout striders, or factory strider gatlings. You can trust me, my name is Henry Helldiver :)
I use a similar setup, but instead of the AMR I use the HMG. it easily deals with the bigger threats despites being slow to aim heavy armor with extra padding or explosive protection are better than +2 stims
This might've convinced me to choose a different heavy armor as I normally take servo-assist. Up to 90m throw distance has been invaluable, but is only good if I'm alive.
Do Dilligence Counter Sniper (it one shot headshot devs now and one-shot body shot small bots) + Laser Cannon (for Walkers) + Stun nades + shieldback pack. Good loadout and break from AC/AMR.
I feel like even with a loud weapon like the amr, if you’re far away, enemies should have to look around for a moment to find out witch direction the shot is coming from
I used the pummeler against the bots, and honestly I think I prefer the counter sniper and amr combo for them. I really like the smg for the bugs though since so many rush you it shuts that down nicely. If they ever come out with an acid grenade that is effective against the bots I would probably run the pummeler with it to keep them stunned in the DOT area.
I always feel like I'm the only one who does this, but I try to leg/disarm hulks as often as possible. I don't bother killing them unless I get a clean, and I mean CLEAN shot on their backpack. If you wonder why, it's cause a legged hulk is something like 75% slower and it allows even heavy armor users to just outrun them. The threat difference is night and day. Scorchers become useless and rocket hulks turn into turrets. It's not even that hard to do as the legs are a big target and easy to shoot from basically any angle.
The butcher armorset must be the tankiest set in the game. 150 armor plus the extra stims and extra stim lenght. But having reduced explosive damage vs automatons is great.
i been rocking this even way before... some of the folks asked me.. is shield really that good after witnessing me tanking entire army. its legit OP and fun.
that first hulk, the amr shot was wide left. you could see the dent next to the face plate. Not sure why it counted that as a hit. second one looked dead on.
It's not just you! I use the AMR on all builds and I find the aiming way off. Many many times it looks like the shots are not registering, especially long shots, it feels like the environment is blocking what looks like a direct shot, so I wonder if it's a mess texture bug?
The AMR is really meant to be fired while crouched or prone, it eliminates most of the sway, try crouching first and it should help with your issues with aiming it.
Is there a trick to being able t o aim the Anti Material rifle without ADS? I'm seeing lots of players blast away with no crosshair and not aiming down sights
Get a dry erase marker and mark where the center dot is on your screen. This is what I did. Also works for lining up a shot without aiming for every weapon.
The only weakness of this build is gunship factories on helldive. Gameover, you cant take them out fast enough to keep the hellbomb safe. That.... or my room may have gotten bugged and had the spawn rate of 4 with 1. Yes you CAN deal with gunships to some capacity, the problem is that the spawn rate and ammo of the AMR cant deal with it to get the full clear.
Pummeler and shield has been an absolute blast all weekend. They don't simply get staggered, it's like a mini stun grenade and they full on shut down for a couple seconds. Still a feat to shoot that tiny ass head hitbox though. Aren't you loving these Tekken mid-air juggles the bots have been pulling off on our ragdolls lately?
Listen I love the new SMG god knows I used them a lot a lot during my days in Call of duty…. And that’s the problem I keep holding the weapon pointing up? A phenomenon I have termed cod holding.
I know this has nothing to do with the video but does anyone know the most efficient way to get samples now? Since patrols got buffed I’ve been having a hard time.
Defense bug missions for me, get as much samples as you can going from points of interest to an other and run away from breaches. If you die, it's fine just spawn far away and pick up your stuff back later. Try staying on the edge of the map when the timer hit 0 to keep enemies from rushing the extract point then wait for for the timer to be around 1 minutes left to run for extract. You can get 30-40/30-35/6 on every run lvl9 runs.
"no doubt about it"? depends on what you're going for: if you wanna safeguard against instagibs you can't otherwise do anything about then the Michelin Man armor is currently the best heavy armor in the game.
Nah, I go full scout armor with the rest. I like to run and get away so light armor is fine. Tank where I want to, run when I need to. Otherwise same load out.
Can you please show in every video first the loadout that you're using? Like a shot of you choosing everything before you start a mission. I think alot of ppl will appreciate that. And btw Stun grenades helps you alot with not missing your AMR shots.
