Background music while fighting versus the Cyborgs on difficulties 9 and above. Originally recorded by Ttnbros. All credits to him and the developers of Helldivers. This version is edited for normalised volume and smoother ending.
@@Gobloidgrunt Update: Self proclaimed time travelers claim that the automatons are coming back, and theyre pushing for cyberstan. However this is surely the work of dissident rumors! We eradicated the automatons!
Really hope we see some callbacks to this in HD2 at some point - maybe for like a boss or something similar in scale. 1:52 goes so god damn hard, it deserves to be heard by a larger audience of players.
I’d love it for this song to play when arriving at a contested automaton world and you just see dozens of super destroyers exchanging fire with enemy ships, maybe a new stratagem modifier like shown in an animation I saw about this that just makes stratagem call in times random like they’d just suddenly be made available or unavailable to simulate a real battle going on in the sky.
I for one liked how you upgraded individual stratagems and firearms, rather than whole classes of stratagems. It really felt like you could commit to a specialization or playstyle, but at the same time, you still had a plethora of options.
@@gino14I think they should revert to that system, I would rather have that anyway, the simple fix would be to refund everyone for their upgrades, then implement the single stratagem upgrades, I’d focus on upgrading the 500kg and walking barrage.
@@mclovin2408 it's just never hit the same, handling the guns is a chore, everything requires more time to do and has more busywork, the random deaths in Helldivers 2 are actually a problem instead of a source of comedy like in 1, there's way less stuff, and what is present is usually buggy. IDK. I played Helldivers 2 from launch til like, last week, unlocked everything, played all the difficulties end to end across all the planets, chipped in on every major order, and it's just... I've never had as much fun in 2 as I did in 1.
In Helldivers 1 when you bleed out crawling, you still get a chance to call for reinforcement and when you get killed you drop that strategem and revive your whole team including yourself. Best comeback feeling.
HD2 needs a legacy edition update, where AH would bring back the old soundtracks, some HD1 armor sets and the weapon's alternate skins, like the Liberator with the legacy skin would look exactly like the old AR-19 Liberator
Man... Being surrounded by the borgs and bleeding out, calling a shredder missile (basically a nuke), then holding up a reinforcement beacon as your helldiver yells "FOR SUPER EARTH" before the missile hits the ground.. dayum Then as the helldiver takes all the borgs with him, the reinforcement beacon drops and four hellpods crash down into the ground, unleashing another team of four helldivers to wreak havoc upon their tyrannical foes. Edit: I witnessed some of these kinds of moments ingame. The clutch plays are unreaaal
Oh, of course! How could we all have been so blind? The soundtrack from the second game is as unnoticed as a whisper at a heavy metal concert, all thanks to being graced by the 'bad destiny composer.' It's not like music is an art form that resonates differently with each unique soul, right? No, no, it must be universally acknowledged as unnoticeable, because clearly, that's the only logical conclusion one could possibly draw. I stand corrected and humbly bow to your superior musical judgement!
1:52 I can imagine a blooded up injured Helldiver walking up to a massive enemy or hordes of them, and standing alone face to face with the ultimate fucking stratagem in his hand and with lightning in the background and the wind blowing his cape, making it all shit dramatic, and all captured in slow motion. Its fucking beautiful...."my life for super earth".
Hmmmm I'd say they're both good in their own personal situations, like I'd personally like to hear the helldivers 2 main theme when the hellpods drop than part ones main theme, but I'd like to hear this during a moment like the seige of super earth or a battle for cyberstan
Why they never made a trailer with this bombastic soundtrack I'll never know! Seriously, Helldivers has no trailers to showcase how incredible it truly hits.
I have this vision of a cutscene running to this song, where you see this dust cloud in the distance and then you see the cyborg red flare and the alarm go off inside of it, then out come running a couple helldivers, then a army of cyborg emerge from the cloud going after them. Then chaos ensues showcasing the weapons and abilities of the game, but the end would be all the helldivers being killed and the last guy calls a nuke in on himself and a reinforce, then ending you see 4 new guys leave the drop ship. I wish I had the ability to make this scene, I totally would spend hours on it.
This song always gives me chills, especially when it breaks into the chorus at 0:57 after that slow build. It sounds so desperate; cyborgs dropping in from all around, bringing with them tanks and butchers as a warlord downs you and the butchers come closer... do you hurry and reinforce, or leave them with a parting gift of FREEDOM?!
This would be a good theme to hear when you pull up to an automaton world and just see super destroyers engaged in combat with enemy warships, this would go so hard to that.
And just when you finally whittled down that last tank, out of the corner of your eyes you see another red flash and then hear that coarse voice shouting "ALAAARM!" I hate 'borgs..
I just have to say that helldivers is the only game that made me HATE THOSE FKNG DOGS, srously, if it wasn't for em I would be doing level 15 difficulty as if it was a walk in the park...
this song goes so hard, I feel like super earths freedom depends on me when the music plays while I throw in a shredder missil at 5 warlords hd2 should bring back this song
Helldivers 2's music seems more... light-hearted and quirky. It's good, but I'd rather they went with a more serious tone for the music as they did in the first game.
I love the soundtrack in Helldivers 2, but 1 definitely takes it out of the park. The fact the music changes depending on the difficulty you play is amazing.
Here's the coolest thing about HD1 I absolutely miss: If all squadmates were dead at the same time, the mission was over. The reinforcement pool didn't exist but it wouldn't have mattered in that context. Beeing among the last 2 squadmates alive and struggling was THRILLING like nothing HD2 has done yet. And this track really narrates that "real struggle" feel.
I remember so many times when I was about to die by a horde, my whole squad was dead. I make a last effort dive, and enter the reinforcements stratagem while I am on the ground. The horde kills me, the stratagem falls down from my hand. All 4 of us come back, and continue the fight! Absolutely thrilling. ❤
@@badasstoad9419 One time I was helping a squad of newbies, all of who recently had got the game in a timed great discount. I was the last alive and on the ground precisely as you narrate the stratagem calls down all 4. Before they land in the chat pops up the message "He's invincible"
Those moments where you unlock some sort of unholy power to perfectly input a reinforce in the 10th of a second window between downed and dead. Unparalleled
Just discover this great game on winter sales 2022. When 2 of my team dies and then this music kicks 1:54 in. I feel like actually part of movie starship trooper that all we can do is just run and try to survive with so many enemies chasing us.
I respectfully disagree : in my opinion, both games nail their combat themes : helldivers 1 was mostly epic, and the fact that taking down ennemies is relatively easy, due to the number of crowd control you have, help that vibe Helldivers 2 is more overwhelming imo, in a good way : both combat themes (bugs and bots) show the dread a soldier would feel when confronted with hordes of bugs, and the massive amount of ennemies in bug breaches and bot drops increase this dread. You feel the dread you should feel.
IFVs are possibly the toughest Cyborg enemy to kill IMO unless you use Commando, Demolishers and RPGs. Ironically they stop spawning them in missions higher than level 13.
I distinctly recall getting cornered by Grotesques and Warlords as I yelled GO to my teammates and l later dove into a lava pit. You do not want to be a Cyborg POW LOL.
Managed Democracy.. .. and those that feel oppressed by it. Are there really heroes and villains? Or is the galaxy muddied so greatly that black and white are truly indistinguishable?
Miss this track. Helldivers 2 would really benefit if they had kept to the themes from the first game. This track and bugs 5-8 crush anything in helldivers 2
The music in HD2 is not bad per say, but by god would i vastly prefer HD1s music, I mean for Christ sake this has SO MUCH MORE EMOTION in it then what we have in HD2! I really hope in a future update we get some combat music that goes just as if not harder than this.
I used to carry demo charges with a jet pack for this very reason. Suicide run towards the tank, toss your charges, jet pack away just as you detonate. A thrill once you got the timing down. Used it for the big bugs too.
I once did a level 11 mission with all tasks completed with no anti-tank... I was supposed to be support and was left alone by the host. I killed 11 tanks and 5 Lords with only ammo and the SOS. Nobody joined and when I completed that mission 0 deaths, perfect run I had the most orgasmic feeling of my entire life, this song just remembers me that epic moment, it didn't stop playing until the extraction.
At times I listen to this when fighting bots on the defense missions on HD2. Feels intense as you launch missles away. Never played HD1 but this music makes me wish I did
If you've survived long enough in direct combat for the triumphant fanfare to kick in at these difficulties, chances are you've already carved out an opening to victory over a long trail of enemy corpses. The only question is... do you have the power to fully seize it and win the day? The music calls for your answer.
4:51 has a little jump, but other than that, this track is the perfect background music to spreading managed democracy to those filthy, uncivilised cyborgs.
I hate the new players, been level 30 before hd2 and i hate the stratagem spamming these rookies do almost constantly team killing friendlies and wondering why they get kicked after 3 times
@@Seeyan86 There are huge sales right now. So many new players are joining us to defend freedom ! And one day, they'll listen to this song, running through hordes of ennemies as they try Helldive difficulty, oblivious about what's waiting for them.
Soloing cyborgs on helldive is impossible, you can't defend a single objective because an ifv spawns near it and instantaneously sounds the alarm, you kill it then another takes its place. Who thought it was a good idea to have a cyborg scout that requires anti tank equipment and calls in troops instantly after spotting you?
It's doable, but it's annoying as hell, you have to play a very specific way by which i mean you have to carry two decoy stratagems, obligatory shield for dogs, anti-armor stratgem, lazer weapon (trident) and pray to god
Land mines and a distractor beacon. It’s doable. Sometimes if the the objective site is too hot though you’re better off circling back later in the mission
Yeah, the new guys are doing their thing, let them. Even though the same planets fell and were recaptured several times in HD1, in HD2 they're giving these little conflicts meaning. Probably. I hope it's healthy for the game in the long run and not a temporary trend. I mean, they can't keep this up for every planet that falls and is recaptured can they? Who cares, who knows. A little roleplay never hurt anyone. Edit: I just wonder what's going to happen when we inevitably lose a war like in the first game. Will they just stop the trend and stop playing?
Been bingeing 2 lately, but I am 98% sure my computer would shit itself if I tried to run it. Still got this parked in my library, at least. Might be time to recapture the glory of the veterans of the First Galactic War.
The only letdown that ive felt with Helldivers 2 compared with HD1 is the battle music. Killing cyborgs to this a absolutely slapped whereas now aside from the main theme and extract theme, the music just feels meh
