Lmao. Am I the only one that cracked up when Yeongja saw the van and got pissed since she rides that van and is considered an average celebrity? I love Yeongja since she's so funny and doesn't care if she's not skinny. She's appreciates who she is and what she has.

i love yeongja! she's definitely one of the most awesome korean celebs for me! she is confident, she's a true comedian, she can joke about herself but has a good amount of self dignity to not let anyone else make fun of her. she laughs at her problems and tries to make those around her comfortable! she has dreams too. she's been saying this sine ages that she wants to get married, have kids, live happy with a family of her own but i love how she knows how to be happy even without all that. she's successful, happy and definitely a star!

I once starved for 24 hours and I literally thought that I was gonna die. I don't know how the man in the first concern starves for one month. It sounds surreal to me. When I am angry or stressed, I can literally eat the whole fridge.

Me too when i'm stress i starved because i'm not hungry at all or i just forget eating. But after 2 days i felt dizzy And i fainted in bathroom the next day. I was so scared because nobodies was home. My all family was really concerned about me at that period i remember my mom cried once she thought i was facing depression and stuff. Now when i'm stress i make sure to have at least one meal a day. I can't imagine he actually starved for a month

Coming from a person that starved for a month, when you pass about a week and a half of not eating, your hunger dissipates. Because you arent feeding your body, your body starts to eat itself. That is why he looks so thin because he often starves himself, his body takes nutrients directly from his muscles.

Totally unrelated to the concerns- I really admire Yeongja so much that it gives me goosebumps because she was the first female MC i ever fell for (mamma mia) and her sense of humour is just so darling that who can't help but love her? Everything that she has been through and her hard work plus compassion and kindness towards others makes her all the more loveable! Just wanted to say that she has helped so many people, and still continues to do so! People who come on the show receive off-the-screen advice from her and she has never once boasted about it, and she's so humble that it's unreal! I wish she was recognized more and had that status close to yoo jae suk because i personally think she deserves that spot.

Lowlyf Fangirl well Yoo Jae Suk didn't lie to the Korean viewers... She lied about how she lost 30 kilos in one year. She claimed she did it by working out and her workout video earned her quite a lot of money. However it was revealed that she had had multiple liposuctions to lose the weight. So yeah, she was on a long hiatus because of the backlash.

I seriously don't understand the son at all. My mother was diagnosed with cancer just not to long ago like a few weeks but already at stage 3 and I feel depressed but I still do my best to make my mother smile. He's 46 and I'm 16... He should know better

Fine but parents should respect their adult kids as normal adults. She doesn't respect him at all. Actually most Korean elders are like that. Since they are elders they think that they can do anything they want and just pee on others opinions.

LittleBaby she just wanted her own his to smile. If your loved one child parents when they are angry and they starve like him you wouldn't do anything about it? I would. Of course you don't wanna see your loved one starve because of a stupid little fight. Also he got little respect for his mom. Smashing her own food that she made for him and thinking it's her fault, no it's not. It's the son sorry ass fault for treating his mom like that. She woke up so early tho she is so old already. She treats him the best. Even the hosts are saying Any parents would still treat their own child weather old or not still like a child cause they still are to them

Well, some of those argumants are true exept pushing someone to eat usually have opposite result. Like I am saying. I think that it is cultural in Korea that elders do not respect their kids and expect them to be obidient like they are underage, till they die. They both should respect each other and son should show a lot more love to her.

I don't understand why this show always asks alcoholics to drink in moderation. They can't do that, because they are ALCOHOLICS. They have to stop drinking completely, or continue to spiral out of control. I see this on Hello Counselor all the time. That man needs help.

detphemale You can't have an alcoholic stop drinking all of a sudden, it will make them want to drink even more. You have to let them drink in moderation first then step by step cut them off little by little for their intake to increase. I think by telling them to drink in moderation is helping them to cure their alcoholism.

I think they knew that already but many korean people hesitates to consult the doctor directly with the problems like that because Korean society is usually still closed minded towards like alcoholics, mental illness. Especially old people.. And It seems that some people doesn't realize like how terrible their alcoholic is, even though they should visit a doctor instead of asking this show. can you understand all my words ? sorry for my bad english🤣

Believe it or not, even difficult habits are hard to break. Even if it's true that some alcoholics can't drink any alcohol after they recover, maybe even most, there are some who simply can't have it in their house and can drink just fine with friends and are very careful of how much they drink and have a buddy system set up for themselves. The most important part is SELF-CONTROL. people who severely lack self-control might have to stop drinking altogether, but those who do have some form of self-control and are able to exercise it can still drink in MODERATION. Not all alcoholics are the same. That's like saying a sex addict can never have sex again. No, it's just that their perception of sex and what they expect it to do for them needs to change. That way whenever they get married or find their significant other they can engage them physically in a healthy manner.

what makes me upset is that they never really take most situations seriously. but i guess that's part of the show. the son obviously has anger problems but no one addressed that. they just kept making fun that he starves himself and throws away dinner.

Chrishayla, Nobody starves themselves for a month and lives to talk about it. Did you see his physique. He is not an emaciated person. His self starving is a way to get attention. He is basically a spoiled brat. I thought it strange that he complained about his mother's habits that he wanted to change, but insisted he could not change his 'habit' of self starving. What a terrible son.

The first man is too used to bring taken care have and is a brat, the second man is trying to live through his children, and the third man is an alcoholic. The first and second issues can be solved very easily; however, the third will be hard to do because he has to be the one to make the choice to change and it will not happen over night. Smh... Hopefully this is a wake up call for all of them.

The dad forcing his daughter to act was pretty annoying and i wanted to strangle him but i realised at the end that the entire time he was being judged he was probably going through the motions and emotions he went through when he had to give up acting. Granted he should never have forced her in the first place but i thought at least someone should know he was probably panicking and heartbroken, and trying to process the fact that this is it, he can't do the thing he loves and his daughter won't do it for him. A chunk of his world probably fell apart. I hope one of the other kids has a genuine interest and who know Ye-eun might like Tae-joon decide to return when she's older.

Okay as someone that also starves to relieve stress I can completely relate to that man. He really shouldn't have thrown his mom's cooking on the floor and not apologized, but I do understand how annoying it is when your parents constantly force you to eat when you're not hungry, and I can understand why he did it after it kept happening. Also he's totally right, starving is a much better way to relieve stress than yelling at others or overeating.

The first guy who starves himself whenever he get angry, I've been there and I'm still like that. When they always comment about the way I look or my weight (I'm very thin) I use to stop eat because I was frustrated. Plus idk why but after starving myself, I feel alot calm after it so it helped me (?)

The first concern really pissed me off !! The son is such a jerk, he really don't deserve his wonderful mother !! U are the one who should change, not ur mother✋ if u really care about her then stop hurting her like that please!! Like WTH u threw the breakfast just like that and u don't even feel sorry about it!! Although ur mother is the one who is old and tired, she wakes up everyday that early just to prepare the beakfast that u threw!! U keep hurting the woman that loves u the most and why!! Because ahe is worried about u and asking u to eat and live well!! Are u kidding me!! U are the one who should be taking care of her not the opposite😑 u really have one of the best moms ever so please stop breaking her heart !! fasting is way more healthier than alcohol or binge eating its like ketogenic diet your body stop using carb and use fat instead calorie restriction and intermittent fasting is linked to longer life span if done properly

Concern #1 the man pissed me off. He should cherish his mother while she's still alive. I only had my Grandmother in my life until I was 6 years old & she passed away due to illness. The sudden Loss left me devastated. She was like a mother to me. I wanted to punch this man. His mother seems like a sweet loving woman. You can tell she loves him very much. Too Bad she spoiled him rotten. He is 46 years old & shouldn't be acting like a teenager. ugh

First issue is solved by him moving out. Then he has to cook for himself and there's no problem. I don't understand the reactions of the others when he said he was upset at her cooking for him repeatedly even though he had said that he didn't want to eat breakfast at home. Throwing away the food is disrespectful, but she had repeatedly ignored him, so I get why he'd be upset at it.

His mother is quite old, she's 75, and people by that age find their purpose in caring for their children and grandchildren. for her psychological and physical well-being it is necessary for her to do those things. She had spent her entire life looking after her children and it is their moral obligation to look after their mother now that she needs them there for her, the least he could do is eat a few bites of whatever she prepares for him to make her happy

But if he says he's eating breakfast at work, why would she insist on making breakfast? Because from what I've understood, she did that even when he didn't refuse to eat, he just refused to eat breakfast because he had already planned to eat breakfast at work, and had told her about it.

My mother hasn't prepared breakfast for me since I was 8 years old, so I can't relate to that. As for dinner, there was no problem if I said I didn't want dinner. Not even when I was extremely underweight. I ate when I had to, because obviously I didn't want to starve to death. Even when I hadn't eaten anything for over 24 hours, she didn't make a fuss about me not wanting to eat. So what you're saying is something I can't relate to. She expects me to take care of myself, and it has been that way since I was young.

I hate the fact that the dad kept trying to justify himself by saying "she's really good" of course the poor child had to be good cause she was sacred shitless. He's acting like the reason why his daughter breathes is to satisfy him and his selfish dreams. Doing this will result to her hating him and rebelling in the worst ways. You love and nurture your child not force them to live the life you wanted. Parents like that don't deserve to call themselves parents . Poor girl

The first concern....is that man crazy...??? Why does he still behave like a kid....??? I am 18 now & I really feel happy when my mom or my elders force me to eat or cook for me...this shows how much they care for us & how much they love & here come this man who doesn't understand.... He was broken and hurt from his loved ones then why does he not understand love & care....he should respect his mother more since he understood what hearbroke is...& Also he should know that there is no one like a mother....who can love u unconditionally...it is clearly seen how much his mom & sis love him.. I hate this man😤
