Haha that's entirely bogus, in Lebanon nobody likes each other, muslims and christians hate each other, sunni and shia muslims despise one another, and political hatered is even worse even amongst the same religious sect. If you're living in the lovely charming Sydney enjoying the good part of life dont talk as if you know all about Lebanon and the Lebanese, i would be happy to switch lives with you at any time.

WOW what an excellent vlog, thanks for this amazing upload. My parents are from European origins but have lived in Lebanon back in the 60s and early 70s before they moved to US and yes my parents are Jews and have lived in Lebanon side by side with Christians and Muslims. They never had problems there, their neighbours were very friendly and actually helped them a lot (as in protection) when Israel invaded Lebanon in the early mid 70 I guess till they moved to the US. Lebanese are educated people and the majorities are trilingual or at least bilingual. Here in the US we have also few Lebanese family friends (Christians and Muslims) and also are successful, educated and simply top people. I love Lebanon and its people, it is sad what happened to this beautiful country but look at them - love and success is in their DNA and I wish them all the best. Peace and Love to all Lebanese.

You don't see lots of travelers making videos in Lebanon, so I was surprised and excited about it. So welcome to our beautiful country! Hope you enjoy your stay! Btw, Beirut's nightlife is even better, and don't be surprised if people just stop to chat with you, we're very welcoming and curious people lol, and almost every lebanese can speak 2 to 3 languages minimum, so communication is easy. P.S: Did you try the hummus/tabbouli/shawarma/ kunafa, etc... or not yet? It's a most 😂

This is incredible. Yeah, as a Gen Xer, teen in the 80s, war-torn Beirut was constantly in the news. This is just so cool to see someone traveling in the renewing Beirut! Remarkable! It’s so beautiful. I’m so glad it’s recovering. What kind and friendly people. A creative question, eh? Oh boy. Well, this one I’m curious about: Fast Forward ten years. You’re 36. Are you still traveling? Why or why not? Any ideas about what you’d like to do - your dream scenario ten years from now. You’re not committed to it! I just want to know what some of your dreams or ideals might be. Peace, kiddo! Thanks for choosing another awesome destination! 👍🏼✌🏼💗

Indigo Traveller Yes! You bet. I’ll go do it straight away (question). Yeah, I’m still thinking about the bullet and mortar-ridden buildings in the video. Also, a Colorado State University professor was one of the Americans held hostage there through the 80s - Thomas Sutherland. He died last year. He was an amazing man. I kept thinking of him as I watched the video, too. Anyway, looking forward to more! 😊

Brings back so many memories of my trip to Beirut. For anyone looking for a Hostel in Beirut, I stayed at Talal Hotel, it is 16 dollars a night, nice rooms, nice people, strong hot showers, everything great. There is also another hostel called Syfi Urban Gardens, for $15 a night, has a popular restaurant below it, which is cheap, and all the young hipster locals go there. Oh and if you want cheap cheap food go to Makhlouf Restaurant, its next to the Talal Hotel, it is a small cozy extremly local place but the owners speak french english arabic, and even a bit of portugese. I ate there every day for 2 weeks. If you go say Santi sent you! Cheers!

Nick, love your vids mate. I’ve just come back from Istanbul and want to start doing more vids (started from my trip from Bangladesh 18 months ago) What equipment do you use and do you ever feel nervous being in front of your camera? Keep up the good work mate.

Good thing you weren't there recently! Hopefully things are as good as they can be in Beirut. But the wife and I are seriously enjoying the content. We watch nightly. Can't wait for new adventures!

at 4:58 that is the Holliday Inn hotel building. HUGE battle took place there in the famous "war of the hotels" between Lebanese forces and palestinian forces in1975

I was just there last month. Those sea rocks/cliffs are called Al Roache, or Pigeon Rock. It is said to be the sea monster Cetus (note how it appears like a serpent rising out of the sea) sent to eat Andromeda by the gods as punishment to mortals, and the reason it is stone now is Perseus killed it to save her using Medusa's head. When I went it was a bit stormy, but beautiful.
