Going through a tin of old 6x6cm negatives I came across a series of shots taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s of a march by coal miners through the town of Ashington in Northumberland. I recognise and can name some of the faces in the photographs and on the assumption that so will many other people, I am posting them here to bring back memories of a bygone time.
