Here the Japanese lyrics. Seimei ni fukitsukeru Simei no kaze sono kurushimi sono munashisa sono muneno itami sakerarenu tsumibito no sadame sorega donnaniyarusenu michi demo hitomi sorasazu ni ikiteyuku sorega tsumihoroboshi tsumihoroboshi...
The wind of death is blowing into life That suffering, that emptiness, that pain in the chest The inescapable fate of a sinner No matter how difficult the path may be Don't look away, live on That is atonement, atonement...
for some reason, reminds me of ancient heroes and their epic adventures. it just feels like the type of song it would play at the background while odysseus reaches home after the long journey.
Seras: In the name of god impure souls of the living dead shall be banished to their eternal damnation. Fergason(Flashback): Amen (echo) Seras: (Silently) Amen Fergason: Amen
The guitar line seems to be a variation of the riff from Survival on the Street of Insincerity. Instead of 11/8, it is in 12/8, though, so it sounds less frantic and more laid back.
@@ritad7986 its basically down to: are you here to watch ridiculous action with bloods and guts, or are you here to watch a genuine mystery story unfold with interesting characters and an absolutely moody style.
Eh disagree...Ultimate does a great job expanding on things the original couldn't (mostly due to the manga not being finished by the time the series ended) but the original is a ton better in pretty much everything else. Ultimate was a snorefest...the pace was terrible.
@@mrlionX Only if the manga was finished when the original was being made, wonder how it would've turned out. I prefer the original over ultimate. I've rewatched both a few times and the original is just more engaging and fun even with the slow pacing/atmosphere, the music really set the tone for it. On the other hand, like shit we wouldn't have Incognito as a character that boi is pretty friggin' unique compared to many even as a non-canon dood pretty much. I wish he was kept in Hellsing or implemented. His ominous vibe and theme and story an overall abilities would've fit in perfectly as it did in original.
Holy smokes me too, I remember listening to it from just a random download on my no name mp3 player. Never knew where it was from but really liked the tune. Seems lots of people are lookin for it.
Well considering that hard rock and experimental are the genres which both of them have in common I would say the comparison isn't too far fetched. In fact I always thought the Hellsing soundtrack was very similar to Jimi Hendrix discography.
1 minute ago (edited) While the first version of the Hellsing Anime published was awful compared to the OVA, this Soundtrack is unmatched. This track is a diamond in the rough. The soundtrack of the original is amazing!
Por alguna extraña razón nunca me olvido de esta canción. Sea la situación en la que me encuentre, una buena o una muy complicada, siempre la recuerdo como la primera vez que la escuche.
This soundtrack brings me so much nostalgia, I used to listen to this back in 2005 on a pirated CD I bought at a local anime convention, back then Hellsing was my favorite anime and following the manga was difficult.
The reason why it's called that is because the song's message is that we can atone for our sins by sincerely looking at our sins, reflecting on them, and living our lives accordingly.
@@Johnny_Joestar_. bro i was just joking. I really love this OST, but it seems to me that there was never any deep meaning in the titles of Yasushi Ishii's tracks. Just cool music with cool goofy names
