The “Cuphead style” animation you noticed is generally called the “Rubber Hose” style (because of the noodle-y way arms moved), and was the standard of early Disney and the Fleischer Brothers (Disney’s main rival in the period, the New York-based studio behind Felix the cat, Betty Boop, and many other classics, as well as pioneering the art of rotoscoping, and probably having a better claim to “first animation with a synchronized soundtrack” than the Steamboat Willie, but Disney doesn’t like people getting reminded of that). Since the Fleischer/Inkwell Studios were subsumed by their Parent Company, Paramount, in ‘42, they spent most of their existence in the golden age of the “Rubber Hose” style, and are as such even more strongly associated with the style than Disney. Tho considering the Musical trip Moxxie is having could come straight out of the Disney Renaissance, Blitz’s trip is probably intending to reference the Disney more strongly than the Fleischer.

Ok so the trip sequence was fucking amazing. Mainly Blitzø's. I think the reason why moxxie sounded garbled in the trip was because of the twos contrasting communication methods. To blitzø, it just sounds like garbled speech most of the time.. and everything else kinda seemed to speak for itself symbolism wise so i won't indulge to deep into it any longer. Moxxies sequence, I noticed blitzø being the phantom of the opera. I mean, anyone would but I got a theory about why he is compared to the phantom in moxxies perception. The actual phantom isolates himself because he truly thinks he's a monster, thus engaging a very anti-social behavior to fit his own beliefs of himself, and causing people to avoid him, giving him a self-fulfilling prophecy that cycles on and on. Blitzø is like that, being emotionally distant with everyone because he thinks they'll all leave eventually and it isn't worth developing those connections, while not being aware that his own behavior is causing his own fears to come true. I think it's cool moxxie sees such a deep and personal thing to blitzø without it being shown so obviously. Ok enough with the serious shit, can we acknowledge that agent 2 is kinda thicc? And millies thighs are so fucking strong that she straight up decapitated someone with them?

It's so rare to see a creator willing to wait to make sure the episode is ready to be released instead of just releasing a half-ass episode just to meet a deadline

I wonder if anybody noticed during that big fight scene, there was like three different melodies as it transition between Loona, Millie, and then Moxxie & Blitz for awhile.

I'm completely new to this channel, I come into your video, no expression, dead-faced, and I skip your intro, and then I just see you both staring at the camera dead-faced (like me) for a few seconds before Loopty screams "SUBSCRIBE DEAR FURRIES!" I've never felt so called out in my life I just immediately hit that subscribe button, 10/10 comedic timing.

five seconds in and someone's turning to their friend and yelling, *"WHAT'S CRAZY, OLD BEAN~?!"*, then you threw the mustache to its demise, that's a sub. Fun damn episode of the show too, everyone and everything was cranked to 11,000! I have absolutely no idea where things are going now (aside from RIGHT up Stolas' butt for starters), awesome character moments throughout and the humor was hotter than the violence. Can't wait for more from the show AND you two loons

I would suggest dissecting the main fight - and yes that includes Stolas' arrival. I especially like the moment in the middle of the octane when Blitzo is gushing over Loona's ability, and as he leaves to keep killing she's groaning in the background and releases some of that annoyance on her next victim. It's like "SO annoying - you, get in my mouth. I need stress relief. YEET!"

I think it's not just the fight choreography, it's the camera motion and character work that makes that whole scene shine. That bit with Millie getting some water from Blitz was just gold. IMO, Stolas let the DHORK agents off easily, Two doesn't look like her neck is permanently injured.

AND THINGS SURE HAPPENED HUH *still can't get over the ending*

I feel like we need a loona episode, so far all we know about her is that blitz adopted her when she was almost eighteen, which means there was either some reason noone would adopt her until that point or her parents died recently before that, either way we need an explanation on why an imp who was currently a clown would be the one to adopt a hellhound

The skit and impressions at the beginning literally added a few years to my life, it was THAT good

Even went back to see if y’all had more commentary videos- I love the genuine reactions and appreciation for all the characters, I would love to see reactions on other shows too! Episode 6 is objectively the best episode out of the entire Series so far. And all the Furries enjoyed watchin Loona fight, cuz I certainly did. :D Especially trying to catch frame by frame.

I'm honestly concerned that Stolas might take the fall for IMP when DHORKS manage to get info out. Don't want this guy to be gone permanently, and I doubt Viv will do that, as he is a core character, even if he is not in IMP, he is one of the main characters and has a major impact. This guy really cares for Blitzo and his employees (he had shown concern about "you little imps not being careful enough" not just Blitzo, meaning, while he loves Blitzo, he also doesn't disregard entire group. Would be nice to see Stolas interacting with Millie and Moxie more maybe see more of his servant imps and their thoughts on him, as well as have Luna interact with Octavia, as they are "the daughters" and share a lot of common traits. It could be "dads stalk daughters" episode, as we know Blitzo to be a stalker).
