he doesn’t feel worthy of his love because he never has the chance to admit it and he’s scared of ruining the bond he has with stolas and when the fire happened he was going to admit it to fizz if you look closely at the letter blitz had in his hand it looked like a love letter for fizz and when he admits he doesn’t want to just fuck stolas in a future episode (sorry if that’s a spolier for you) i truly think blitz loves stolas more than anything and he doesn’t just want to be a plaything to him

Welcome to my mini-essay. I think it's less that and more that Blitz longs for permanent ties: a person who literally can't leave, no matter what. He isn't mentally healthy enough to love and form bonds in a normal way. He will always latch on with full strength and self sabotage until he destroys the relationship in ever-increasing 'tests' that the other person will still like his worsening-worst and stay. Being formally bound and 'owned' would therefore be a complete relief for him. He wouldn't be able to leave and ruin things, and the other person also wouldn't be able to leave him. Chains would mean Blitz was always wanted. The other person would have clear requirements for him to fill, and likewise have clear obligations back towards Blitz. Being bound would actually be freeing for Blitz. He could have the relationship and intimacy he craves, but minus all the endless worrying about if he's making the other person happy and is good enough (since the behaviors expected of Blitz would be clearly spelled out, as well as the rewards for that behavior, and behaviors which would normally be off-putting, such as too much closeness and intensity, would be desirable in this situation, rather than cause for a break up), and minus the worry that the other person would leave, since there's a mutual contract. Stolas therefore represents a form of salvation to Blitz. Being chained to Stolas will let him ascend from the muck of his own damage and his clown past, shown by him becoming clean and getting his assassin outfit as he climbs the stairs towards Stolas, and get him as close to what he wants as Blitz is capable of getting without destruction. But even that, he views as too good to be true. Stolas disappears while Blitz is told he'll die alone, and Blitz is attacked and smothered by the golden feathers, even as he remains bound with cuffs that no longer chain him to what he wants. It's indicative of his belief that even this will turn on him, that he'll wind up shackled with feelings long after Stolas leaves him alone again, and that this interaction with Stolas will hurt him. A few impediments to Stolas and Blitz becoming a true relationship are that 1) Blitz honestly doesn't realize Stolas likes him, or that a true romantic pairing is on offer, because he doesn't thinks it's even possible. This obliviousness is what enables Blitz to be happy enough with this artificial connection; a real one may be way too much pressure and lead to panic and self destruction. He's like the girl from the wrong side of the tracks who is perfectly ok being friendly and bantering with the football captain while they're on shared detention, but even hint that there's the possibility of a real friendship outside of that environment? Staggered disbelief. A public, above-board, romantic relationship? Hyperventilating panic and fleeing. 2) Blitz does not connect sex with romantic love, or even view it as something with much weight or importance. So the main connection he has with Stolas isn't strong to begin with, and Blitz genuinely finds a lot of Stolas' sexual behaviors off-putting, and even disturbing based on his reactions to Stolas' phone calls. 3) Blitz requires respect as much, or possibly even more, than love. Stolas would have to unlearn a lot of his obliviously demeaning and accidentally racist behaviors.

But considering how we've seen Blitz act towards Millie in the past, I think it was more just him being his normal sweet-to-Millie self.

And, he put his arms in front of everybody when the 2 agents were pointing the guns at them. Proving your point.

@UNDERGNOMES same, tge animation style change is what I think throws it off. Which I also find kind of weird since in some moments it appears more like the early, hand-drawn disney films. Or it seems that way to me anyways. But I get the feeling that some of them are referring to Renaissance era disney films. I don't have any reason to think so with that last point though.

Stolas... does not have that restriction as showed here he's probably easily the most powerful being we've seen in the series (since we technically haven't met Lucifer or tge other prince's yet)
