For the first guy, If you are looking at Catholicism, there are 24 rites(most of them eastern so they would have Divine Liturgy not Mass), but since I assume he means Roman so Amber is correct you have to experience it. I think if you don’t feel like a Latin Mass would be overwhelming, do research and find a parish that does a Novus Ordo well.
For #2. I always thought that we should be comfortable in the church. Trust the clergy, get the basics, and live our lives in peace. - - it does seem cultural that fathers don’t go to church and mothers keep children in the faith. That should change since it isn’t working well for future generations.
