I have diagnosed myself with MCAS after i saw a TikTok of a woman who had this after getting COVID. I had the same things as her. All of a sudden, after that i started to react very bad to foods also, heart palpitations, running nose, shortness of breath, anxiety, headache, diarrhea, throat pain, skin condition worsening. So now i know i have histamine intolerance, i can’t eat everything and respond very well to Quercitine. I did research on histamine intolerance and MCAS. That’s how i know how to treat myself. Unfortunately my GP is trying to gaslight me. Last time i was there she said histamine intolerance doesn’t exist. I left there crying cause I felt so bad. She was telling me i have anxiety issues. Doctors will still blame things either on your weight or tell you you have hysteria. It’s a shame. We women know what is going on with ourselves. I was fortunate to see that TikTok or else i would have never known what is going on with myself.

Good for you I've dealt with Drs who treated for GERDS and Antidepressants they wanted me to stay on these meds long term and they couldn't treat the actual problem I eventually saw in naturopath who cleared both those illnesses when I told my gp about it he didn't believe the naturopath did that now I've this LC symptoms and I have no hope the GP's are will fully ignorant they are in bed with the pharmaceutical companies

It may also be beneficial to look into the GAPS nutritional protocol. I have since figured out that all my symptoms, ( a lot of what you also have) are due to a leaky gut! Check out Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride’s books. GAPS stands for Gut And Psychology Syndrome. Hope this helps. There is a way to heal, it’s just going to take time to heal fully. I am doing the GAPS now and realize it’s going to take at least 2 years. I think it’s worth it tho.

I had a wicked case of long covid for 32 months. It was neurologic. No POTS, no brain fog. Dr. Bryan Ardis suggested nicotine patches. I applied a 7mg nicotine patch 24 hrs/ day for 7 days. By 4 weeks later my horrific symptoms abated by 95%. I had been reduced to a mere shell of my former self and couldn't do any of my normal activities. After the nicotine I am back in action! It's cheap, easy and relatively safe. The nicotine binds to nicotinic receptors on the cell surface, in preference to the spike protein. That's the theory. As a physician and surgeon, I'm back in the game!

@@anniecrowther8423 Terrible lighthededness, felt like I would fall in to a coma at any moment. Felt like I was barely conscious. Dizzy occasionally. Raging tinnitus. Ridiculously easy fatigue ability. Zero heat tolerance. Weirdo palpitations that were terrifying, when they occurred I was certain I would die in the next few moments. No brain fog, my cognition was 100% normal. No POTS. My current regimen is daily nicotine patch, methylene blue, nattokinase, curcumin, Quercitin, resveratrol, magnesium (which I take for other reasons) and AREDS-2 to prevent macular degeneration. I’m not 100% healed but very close. I’m not stopping any of this until I feel 100%, if that ever occurs.

@@anniecrowther8423 I was severely lightheaded and felt like I might fall in to a coma at any moment. It seemed I was barely conscious, something akin to being very sleepy or inebriated but not exactly like either of those. Nevertheless my cognition was completely normal, no brain fog. No POTS. Raging tinnitus which persists. Sometimes dizzy or unbalanced but only for a second. No heat tolerance and ridiculously easy fatigue ability. Weird palpitations at times that felt like I would die in an instant. No GI, nor respiratory problems. No MCAS. It was horrific, I couldn’t do any of my normal activities like golf, fishing, cycling, flying. I could barely drive and work, but pushed hard to do so. I missed some work and had to have a driver often. My current regimen is a nicotine patch daily, methylene blue, nattokinase, curcumin, Quercitin, resveratrol, and vitamin D. I won’t be stopping those anytime soon! I’m probably 90% resolved or better. This is month 38.

While it's still a little too early to have any major changes, I think he's getting some relief from the constant itching. He spends a great deal of time reacting to histamine and breaks out consistently. I explained to him with great detail what he's possibly experiencing and it resonated with him, which is why he's trying it now. He's a the end of his rope. Dr.'s haven't given him any relief at all. They haven't even given him a REAL diagnosis. We've been dealing with this for YEARS together and for him, since childhood. My hope is that this protocol with consistency will offer not just relief, but regulate his body to normal histamine levels. I appreciate you asking me, that means a great deal! I've also been reading Dr. Johanna Budwig about Omega three oils and it's critical necessity in the body. Specifically, freshly ground flax seeds, ( they oxidize and become unfit to eat within fifteen minutes of being ground). Barleans flax oil with the elimination of most other kinds except organic expellor pressed Olive and coconut oil, has greatly healed my liver. The liver is the source of body detoxification. The two sources I gave you should help alleviate the misery if you can do some changes to your life and diet.

@@HaileyMarieGrande So I am old school.. so I started following Suzzane Somers Somersize. I used to do this diet in my late 20s but so many people frowned upon it due to some specific food restrictions. Now that I am 47 negotiating food has become even more difficult and metabolism issues. I started her plan..she actually says no bananas. Covid 19 hijacked my metabolism, mood, and eating habits. So I decided to dust off my book. She has a list of foods to stay away from. They weight loss is different for people. But I lost 10 pounds in 8 days. I have more energy. I'm not better..I have a long way to go. But I like the way she encourages me to eat without needing to count the calories. I feel like my body is reseting. I was only going to do it for a week but my results were amazing. So I'm going to do it a few more weeks then hold off eating things that screw my metabolism. Bread and sweet products just send me off on a eating binge and I can't stop. This was the easiest way I could incorporate what the RU-vid video was saying.

Thank you so much. I suspect this is what has been happening to me all of my adult life; mass cell activation syndrome. I never understood why I did not recover as quick as other people. I suffer from a lot of allergies, recurring sinus infections, upper respiratory infections and food intolerance. Foods that most people eat, certain supplements and black tea & green tea, considered healthy, would cause hives, rashes, swelling and itching. Sometimes I would have to visit the emergency room due to an over reaction. There are times my eyes would be swollen shut after eating something or taking a supplement that my body did not process correctly. Thank you for helping me to finally get answers to my questions. Great talk. I often find low glutathione deficiency in these patients. One study pointed out that glutathione deficient patients have more severe Covid. I also see mitochondrial issues, especially at the malic acid step which is controlled by B3. We have seen a rapid response to glutathione IVs and just starting NAD. IVs. The last patient went from 1/10 to both cognitive and energy to 6/10 in both overnight following a glutathione IV. My favorite supplement is ATP Fuel, which supports mitochondrial function. We have confirmed this finding with a urine organic acid test or Genova Metabolomix test. In general, I agree with your findings. NAD IVs can cause stomach pain during administration unless given methyl donors prior to treatment, but are quite effective.

It's only now so many people are getting long haul Covid that the attention is on it and people that have been suffering for decades are finally getting answers and validation. I fainted in a supermarket, a few months ago, after years of fatigue and numerous other symptoms finally to get a diagnosis of POTS/Dysautonomia, now having to find I have had issues with histamine intolerance for years, waiting to have further tests to investigate the damage done to my digestive tract. I turned 51 this year, I had Glandular fever when I was 13, was told after falling/fainting off a horse (after a 3 month recovery) it was due over excitement and my fatigue was depression this type of 'diagnosis' continued on until this year....The medical fraternity are generally only as clever as what they are spoon fed in medical school. What an amazing video. It matches spot on with my long covid experience. I got covid last November, and after some serious PEM, I started taking NADH+. My mood immediately improved and the brain fog/memory/word recall issues started clearing. I guess that freed up the tryptophan! I was still experiencing random muscle twitches in my thumb after that. I started taking zinc and 50% of the twitches went away. Once I added Selenium to my supplementation regime, the muscle twitches went away completely. I think I may have low level undiagnosed MCAS because I've had IBS and allergies to dust since 17 years old. I've been on the low histamine diet and my IBS and allergies went away almost overnight (I'm 42 now so those were problems I've had for 25 years)! I absolutely cannot tolerate the following foods under any circumstances since getting covid as I get really bad mood, super sensitivity to noise, bad sinus congestion, and severe bloating : tomatoes, cacao, eggs, cucumber, dried coconut, sulphites, dairy, meat, especially fish like sardines (mental fog and physical shakes for days), MSG.

And don't forget Vitamin D!!! The main playmaker with Zink and Selenium is vit-D..Why!?!? Therefore our cells have VDR(Vitamin D receptors)..When one cell once is unstabile every extern agens will cause over reaction with high histamin production...Zink have is so called corector of FINGER PROTEINS.Keep to take your vit D daily dose and be safe...Greetings

@@amg726 Hmm, this is the third time I've replied, but YT keeps eating (or deleting them)... I'll try posting this without the link and see if that helps... Selenium recommended intake is 300mcg. I take a 200 mcg supplement and one or two brazil nuts (~80mcg each). I take a 50mg zinc supplement. I find the most effective NADH+ is the Provita brand because it also contains C0Q10 which is necessary to be able to use the NADH. It has 12.5mg of NADH and 30mg of CoQ10 and 5mg of chlorophyll. I also add another supplement called PQQ-10 which contains 200mg of CoQ10 since it's safe to take up to 300mg CoQ10 per day.

I recently caught Omicron....However, I began a vitamin regimen back when the pandemic started. Haven't been sick in 2 years until Omicron early January. I got sick for a couple days, and felt a bit lethargic for a week. Got back to normal very quickly with no serious issues. My children, who do not eat as well (junk food) and do not take vitamins daily, were sick for almost 2 weeks. As a previous smoker, bronchitis has become an issue with me. Now, my recovery time from virtually everything has been cut in half after adopting a better diet and vitamin regimen. For any sickness, or long covid, this is what I take daily, and it really seems to help. 600mg NAC N-Acetylcysteine 500mg Quercetin/Bromelain complex 30mg Zinc in a daily Eye vitamin. 5,000iu Vitamin D3/K2 complex soft gel. Got worried for arpund 2 mins.and remembered not taking my supplements. Tomatoes and spinach are super high salicylate. Nuts and strawberries are also very high salicylates. And the teas and coffee are also super high salicylate they also deplete thiamine. Salicylates inhibit oxidative phosphorylation ( can’t make ATP ). Probably glycine uptake issues due to history of metabolic syndrome. Cannot detoxify salicylates and Benzoic acid without glycine and B5. This leads to high levels of xanthine too >>>> this means they become vulnerable to Sjogrens. , RA, Breast cancer. Tinnitus. Osteoporosis Glycine utilization ( GNMT enzyme ) requires B3 ( NAD ). She even mentioned serotonin being depleted due to B3 deficiency. The body diverts tryptophan to make B3- at the expense of serotonin !! What also helps clean up (conjugate ) toxins ) sulfation which requires B2 B3 selenium. Molybdenum zinc.

This is exactly me. I got Covid in April 2021. It’s now November 2022, 19 months on and I’m still suffering. I found this video to be one of the best and more precise for what I have been dealing with. It makes sense that Covid exacerbated my MCAS and histamine intolerance. I never thought I had a problem before Covid but looking back a few years before Covid I started having issues with alcohol. It didn’t matter what type I had, I would immediately become congested, sneezing and coughing fits. No wonder! And even before that if I get bit by mosquitoes I welt up huge and have a significant reaction! And even before THAT, as far back as when I was a child I would get poison Ivy all the time playing in the woods and I would always have to go to the Dr and get steroid shots or oral steroids. So bad that I got it in my eyes one time and my eyes were swollen shut for 2 weeks! I swear, I wish I had known this forever ago. I have been to so many specialists over the last year and a half, tests, blood work, procedures. All came back normal, nobody could tell me what was wrong. Finally found a naturopath a few months ago. He had me do a Lyme test which came back positive, I have Chronic Lyme disease. Which Covid has also been recognized for bringing out underlying conditions/ diseases/viruses. Yay me! He wanted me to do a $5,000 Lyme treatment which I declined for the time being because I had racked up thousands of dollars already from all my appointments with previous Dr’s, tests and procedures. So then he mentioned LDA Immunotherapy. I have done 2 shots so far, going in once every 8 weeks. You are supposed to commit for at least a year. I felt 100% like myself after the first shot. Just had the 2nd shot about 2 weeks ago and didn’t notice a difference at all. I have been seeing more and more studies and research come out about long Covid and MCAS that now I am convinced this is what I’ve been dealing with all along. I had actually mentioned to him back in June of this year, 2022 when I had my first appointment with him that I thought I had some sort of MCAS and histamine intolerance going on. Well, turns out I wasn’t far off! I now have an appointment with him next week to go over all of this information and to put a hold on continuing LDA at this time. Maybe at some point in the future, we’ll see. There has been a lot of info coming out of the FLCCC Alliance also on long Covid protocols. I will be discussing what I have just learned from this very informative video and also the protocols suggested by the FLCCC. If anyone is interested look them up as well. They also suggest the use of a Near Infrared Sauna at least 3-4 times a week to help detoxify your body of the Spike protein. Very interesting, I will be looking into this as well. I have also heard of that treatment working for Chronic Lyme patients. Also I have a couple questions. I hope that this comment is seen so I can get a couple things clarified please. The amount of Magnesium wasn’t mentioned. Also, what about this histamine diet? After 6 months time what are you supposed to do then? Slowly start adding in more foods, and what foods? Also what about meat? Which ones are better if so, and how is one to prepare them? I know leaving leftovers in the fridge is not acceptable as the histamine levels grow the longer they are left. So would you freeze any left over meat and then how would one thaw it properly? What about eggs? I’ve been to numerous sites for lists of high and low histamine foods but they’re ALL different! 😑 Some say eggs are fine while others say “if tolerated”. Well what does that mean?? I also wonder if this will be a life long battle or over time will, like the Dr said, your Mast Cells get sort of retrained or new ones develop stronger? I have already changed the way I eat. I have over the past 6 months switched to an all organic diet. Soaking my nuts, seeds, grains and oats. Which I will not be able to do for some time I guess because soaking grains requires an acid medium like apple cider vinegar or lemon juice which is extremely high in histamine so I guess I’ll have to stay away from grains then. If I end up not soaking grains then it could have effects on the gut so I’m out of luck either way. 😔 I have cut out coffee, tea and alcohol for quite some time. I now make all of my own hygiene and cleaning products. I go to my local farmers market and farms to buy meat and produce. I can see this is going to be a long recovery. Thank you again for this very informative video! ❤
