The only real excuse is that this is the ACTUAL rate to pay an animator for making such animations from scratch frame by frame. According to the number of frames (30 fps) and the duration, it's approximately $9/frame which is the actual market rate.

Yeah, especially if you go back and watch the early ones and see just how FAR they've come over the time they've been doing this. Ase has gotten better at beatboxing and making good songs for the contestants and the animators have really improved in how they do things as well.
