About 18 to 20 years ago I purchased the aluminium Tippmann Boss, I broke the gears so many times I told myself NEVER TO BUY THE TIPPMANN AGAIN, NEVER to recommend it to anyone, the second time I broke the machine it could not be fixed so I had to send it to them from UK all the way to Indiana USA, when I got the machine back guess what I BROKE IT AGAIN, inferior parts. I had to sell it as a broken machine and accept the loss. You people at TIPPMANN cost me a bunch of money... I am buying the Cowboy Outlaw, Farid Mehr, knife maker
Let me preface this comment by saying that this is an awesome machine and prospective buyers should totally get it. Great customer service. Take the time to really learn how to use it because it requires some finessing to get just right. Once you get it, though, this thing will sing for you. I second the timing comment. It would also be super helpful if, next time you make an instructional youtube video, you could list the issues you go over in the comments section. That way, the videos would be searchable and easy to reference -- I find myself watching through so much footage every time there's a hiccup to try and figure out "Where (and in which video) did Ryan talk about this or that issue?" It would also be cool if you could show how you replace the needles without denting/blunting the needle tip, as this was not easy to figure out. All that being said, it's a very nice machine and I'm grateful for the videos. Many thanks!
Ryan, you probably need to do a simple video on how to re-time the machine as it is easier than it should be to get it out of time. It has happened twice to me and though you talked me through getting it back in time the first time I think a video would be "worth a million words" and keep you off of the phone. It the two piece rack simply had a more positive engagement between the two halves of the rack I don't think the machine would be so easy to get out of adjustment.
I have not been able to get my tension set correctly since day one. I called Tandy. They were absolutely zero help. Is there a video somewhere about adjusting the tension? I have tried everything. When I first received the machine I opened the bobbin to install a new one with thread. When I did that the spring and the bobbin went flying. Idk if something was wrong from the factory or what. It's very frustrating. I've had thus machine for 2 years at least and have hardly used it because it makes such a horrible stich on the back side no matter what I do.

This looks like it would be so hard to use my right arm would fall off I’ve been hand sewing for years and I finally got a small walking foot then a boot patcher both have their place in my shop and I still use them but I have recently upgraded to a cobra class 4 and I love it
Great video. Thanks for posting. Will this machine handle thinner projects equally as well? Like wallets? I'm sure that sounds ridiculous since this machine will sew a few cars together, but I'm wondering how versatile it is across all projects. Or is it specifically meant for more 'meaty' things like holsters, sheaths, etc.
Randy, this is extra heavy duty leather sewing machine for stitching thick leather and strong thread.If you use for very thin leather goods, you need to buy a small needle, then you need to re-adjust the machine. So we do not suggest you to use this machine for thin leather products. CowBoy CB6900 is the professional machine for light to medium weight leather.
Yup it stitches perfectly through 3 layers of 3.5mm veg tan with contact adhesive on all layers. To say im happy with this machine is an understatement. Its a Game changer.
