However, I was so touched by this homeless's story that instead of give him $100, I decided to spend more time to help him finding a job. I cannot believe how everything worked out in the end. I'm homeless, and this brought tears to my eyes. Because, so many of us are misunderstood. I'm homeless because my husband passed away, and I was totally dependent on him, I should not have been, but I was. I'm not a drug addict, or an alcoholic, I'm just learning how to take care of myself and I'm afraid of strangers, which doesn't help. Or, does it?

Sometimes you are not in the same place to help but contributions for charities like doctors without borders are a permanent investment in project that support and help to build local and deliver local healthcare services and disaster relief. How you might help could depend on your skills.

Also, responsibility & punctuality often become secondary to drugs since the brain's reward system has been hijacked by drugs, so drugs become #1 priority.

Great example of not judging a homeless person. No fault of his own… one mugging and his life comes crashing down. I use to think that way. But when many people see it, and they happen to be in that area, they help too. Or some ask where they can donate $ for that person. And it gives others ideas to do something for someone.

Yes, you certainly can, and even when your husband passes away, or for a number of reasons. I have met some high class people that wasn't so high class any more because they could not afford their mortgage anymore when they retired, they ended up living in their RV. But, everyone has a story. Each one is different, and very unique.

A person cannot work in the medical field if it threatens a patient's life and health. The country is not to blame, as it's not a live entity. There are many resources available; the library has computers for use and clerks to assist. Instead of judgmentally criticizing the nation, without discernment, take the steps this videographer took, then help someone.

I lost my job a few years ago. Since that I've applied for more than 10,000 jobs. I've contacted all kinds of people and friends. Just one person really helped. She was able to get me an interview with someone at her company. I didn't get the job but she helped me. When you loose your job your friends disappear. I've seen the worst in people instead of finding good.

My dad know a homeless man and everytime he sees him he buys him coffe and they talk for hours. Homless man want someone to talk to and understand them, give them or either food not money ( they usually spend it an alchool) or time, they apreciate time more than money

Poor guy with his story and all, this is why people should be more understanding to bums. Some people may have had a normal life back then, but for whatever reason ended up being homeless. It's sad, but great story and nice for Riceman to help him! Seems like a nice dude
