I would also do my best to work on his mental boundaries at home. Find the edge of where he struggles wanting to go home, change his thought, then take him back but try to find the moment that his thought comes back to you before you take him back. Combining this approach and the trailering exercise below will start changing his perspective but it will take some time!

At his home we have trails around the property...so cool, and I can take him out alone...he is good boy and doesn't even try to rush home ..I can trigger him by separating him at home in a turn out where he can not see his herd mates. Is your experience that he would need to learn to be okay out of site from his herd mates or even alone his barn stall when the others are out for the day to learn to feel okay leaving home alone? Thank you again for your awesome videos and your reply!! I have started 'dry runs' in the trailer just asking him to come in and eat some grain and be good with that...the other day he ate but also just spent a long time standing still...while I was standing still.in there with him...I almost felt like his brain was working to reprogram itself?? To be quiet emotionally inside the trailer..
