A stretch band is one of the most useful tools in archery there is when it comes to form development. Tate here is working through some form challenges when shooting his bow is not possible. The deep learning that occurs using a stretch band to practice archery is second to none when it comes to adjusting archery form.

I would like to try mirrors front and back. I believe it would help with alignment. Jake?

So personally I find mirrors distracting. Thats simply because youd have to take your attention and possibly head position away to look in the mirror to see if your doing it right. I love video because I can focus 100% on my form and go back and watch afterwards. The only time I use a mirror is to adjust my bow shoulder in real time to get a visualization of what it should look like and how it feels when it looks like that. That being said if you have no way to video then mirrors would be your best bet for sure. Thats just from my experience at least.

@@taterigby8539 Videos are superior to mirrors. I plan to film my technique. However I'll probably discover many flaws. The task will be to prioritize them. Unfortunately I'm not experienced in this area

@@garymickus6412 In my experience and from what I have been told, focus on the structure bottom up to begin with. Make sure your stance is consistent and where you want it. Make sure your hips and legs dont rotate during the draw cycle or flail when the shot breaks. Then move to your chest. Make sure its not puffed out or you learn to forward. When you get the shoulders and arms, always start with the bow shoulder. Make sure its locked down and stable with a rotated elbow. Then work on moving into the barrel of the gun with your shoulders being in line with your grip. Finally then work on your anchor and keeping your draw elbow flat with your grip. If this is done right, the release will naturally be close to where it should be. Finally is your head position and keeping it in the place in space during the full shot cycle. Obviously if something very wrong, fix it first but this is how I personally tackle fixing form.

@@taterigby8539 Thanks, a good procedure to prioritize my mistakes.
