Welcome to the new series on my channel, in which I will look at and review some overlooked or unrated levels, with the goal of helping the creators in getting them rated in the end.

Today we are checking out a level I saw on twitter a while ago. I knew about catgirlBlitz for a while already and have been quite surprised how much they have improved in recent times. I wanted to cover a project of theirs on my channel for a bit now, so I thought this would be a good opportunity.
I really enjoyed the level visually. The colors are super nicely chosen and the simple, art based style works really well with the overall aesthetic of the level. I like how varied the designs present are as well, every new structure feels very new and fresh. The only problem I can see with this is that the level couldn't feel a bit incoherent, but I think due to the overall theming the level has, it is not the biggest deal. My only real problem I have with the visuals is that I wish there was a bit more going on in the level overall. The designs and art elements are nice, but it barely changes up at all. I think some more glow usage and some more pulses could have enhanced the atmosphere a lot more, which I would have liked a lot.
Gameplay wise there isn't too much to say, as the level is aimed to be really easy, so the gameplay isn't anything special. It is fairly easy to read, even though it is easy to confuse some of the background elements with solid structures at parts. This is only really true in the cube parts in my opinion, but still something worth looking into perhaps. Other than that the level plays nicely though, the difficulty fits the level well and everything is nicely balanced towards it. It can tend to be a bit boring, but most levels of this difficulty don't have the most engaging gameplay, so I don't think this is a big problem.
With all that said I think the level is a really nice representation of catgirlBlitz's improvement as a creator. The visuals are really nice, the art elements present are very interesting and well implemented into the levels theme and the gameplay is also fitting. I only wish there would be a bit more going on in the level in terms of pulses and atmosphere building elements like glow, but other than that I think it is a really well put together project. I would personally send this for a feature, but I can see the arguments for only a star rate as well, due to the problems mentioned earlier. Overall though I think the level is very cool and I looking forward to what they are releasing next, the previews they are sharing on twitter are very promising so I will keep my eyes open for that.
