I would absolutely watch every decor related video of yours!! I’m such a homebody and I feel like one of my favorite things to do is decorate my place with my plants and watch how other people decorate theirs. It’s so interesting to see how people blend their personal style with plant life :)

For the empty moss pole bottoms: fill up the pot with dirt and just twist the moss pole around it will dig itself into the dirt and fill the empty space.

I'm in Minnesota and I have a variegated standlyana, but I've only ever seen them in store the one time. The plant shop didn't realize they were rare I think, because I happened to go to the shop the day they came in, and they were $55. The next day, I saw in the local plant group that the shop was selling them for $160ish? If they raised the price just because they knew they could, I think that is wrong. Because if they were originally selling for $55 the day I got mine, that original price had to have allowed them to make a profit, you would think.

Hey Fern, so happy you are falling in love with the Standleyana 🌱mines is almost 4fts tall and her biggest leaf is 40cm long...so keep growing her up a pole and you will see how beautiful and big the leaves become 💚

Your monsteras look beautiful!! Your Obliqui has made an incredible comeback!! Your Peru!! Mine has finally taken off as well and I put it on a moss pole a couple of months ago!! My Siltepecana has just gotten huge!! It’s such a pretty silvery color!! I’ve already extended its moss pole and I really need to propagate it.. but the colors are right up your alley!! Can’t wait to see your upcoming project!!!!

Love the video and the plants look so good on the poles. I think the next repot video should be a ASMR repot. The sounds are so satisfying when you repot and smoosh the soil down.

I have 2 standleyana (one variegated and one non-variegated) and I absolutely love them. They're super small right now and seeing this video makes me sooooo excited for when they grow as big as yours... def going to need to make a moss pole for them!

I have started doing the "lazy" plastic sheet moss poles for my smaller plants. They work really well and keep the moss moist for a long time 😊 plus super easy to put together 😂💚

I used to be so paranoid about wet sphagnum from the pole rotting my roots, but between my ultra chunky soil mix and the terra cotta pots, both the poles & the soil are usually bone dry within a few days. I keep them all out in my living space (almost all my plants are way too tall to fit in any cabinets) and flood them with water once a week and everyone seems to be growing great so far.

I got a reverted strandleyana as a freebie plant once. It vines like crazy! I don't even have it on a pole I just let it run all over my grow tent.

I do the same with my moss poles to give the roots more room to grow and to make the pole more stable, with adding soil instead of moss at the bottom!!!

Ithought I was the only one with algae on my moss poles😅 on instagram and often also on youtube you only see light sphagnum moss. I have a Standleyana Albo. I cut it for propagation and because it had started to put out runners but man I'm having trouble getting them to root. They're in stratum at the moment. Luckily my OG plant just started growing again and put out a beautiful leave so it still has 4. Can't wait for it to grow that big but I do have a nice big Standleyana Aurea.

I Bought 2 Stan Jrs. For My Happy Planty New Year To ME Gifts!!! THEY Were In 4 Inch Pots Already Growing In Soil... I Paid $65 For The Two Of Them. Right Now, They're On Bamboo Stakes So That They Can Get More Light. I Keep Telling Myself That IF I Want Them To Get More Of An Albo Look... I'll Have To Move Them To A Sunnier Spot... They Are Right Behind Where I Usually Sit... I Haven't Moved Them Yet!!! I L💚VE Those Boyz!!!

I don’t have them yet but I do really appreciate the standleyana and the peru, I’d get those over a Thai or albo at this point (given how my basic a$$ deliciosa is on the struggle 🚌😒 lol) I’ve also really been loving plant styling and home decor/rearrangement videos lately - just finished a rearrangement of my own, partly because same as you, a lot of my plants are growing too tall to be on shelves or in my aquarium “greenhouse” 😂 I’ll be interested to see how and what you do to your space ❤️

I think it’s good that you put the two cuttings into the soil rather than rooting them in water. I can’t remember where, but I remember hearing/reading that monstera deliciosa aerial roots should not be placed in nutrient water because it’s likely to rot those roots (since they were built for the air, not water).

I think I've had blinders on with monstera. Just haven't enjoyed the look of them. But wow! I just told/showed my hubby how pretty your Peru & Stabdleyana, & how badly I want them now! Thank you! And I had a thought. When you were explaining why you put the soil into the bottom of your moss poles (makes total sense), I wondered if it would also make sense to basically fill that with leca (or rocks?), easier to hold on place while placing into the pot, then let soil seep in over time. What do you think?

Thank you!! If it's older than a year I just compost it, but if it's still somewhat "fresh' I'll add it back into the plant and use it again. I will also pick out the leca from this batch, because it can be boiled and re-used.

I have a Standleyana! It was one of my first uncommon plants. I post about her on Instagram. I do find it hard to propagate for me though. I lost every cutting I took but I didn't try in water.

Its starting to become hot here in toronto. Thats 22 c or 73 f. But still waiting a bit more to bring some plants out to the patio. Which provice u t? Went to bruce peninsula this week and it was cold up there.
