I was a 14 year old kid back in the mid eighties loving my heavy metal/hard rock. Then one day I heard this song at a friend's house and it gently sowed it's way into my heart where it grew into my great affection for guitar and harmonies that still goes on today. And I still like my heavy metal...Thank you for affording me my little trip in the time machine. We love the fill in's with the girls too! Wonderful talents you all are.
This song runs deep in my soul and not often do I hear someone cover it and find tears just falling like they do with CSN You took this song and found the beauty of it come through with stunning talent. Blessings to you all BRAVO
Ah thanks very much! ;) We did our best with it. I stayed close to Paul's vocal, but added some high where I thought it needed it. ;)) Em helped so much though. I asked her to help support our harmony with a fiddle pad under the crucial areas. Listen to what the fiddle does while we hold our note out. She does this so well. ;))
Hi, Kappa. Y'all just can't help yourselves.... better and better each time I hear you. Love hearing Em on the violin again. Thank you so much for sharing! :-) Best Regards, Ron from Texas
I am a CSN fan and this song is one of my favourits, that I used to play and sing with two buddies of mine The blending of your two wonderfull voices is amazing. Especially the chosen harmony of the second voice gives this song another character that I like very much!
There is nothing really to comment on ! You guys are the dream of every human family ( not just american ) I don't know what to say, but you move me, every time that I watch your videos. I have been single my whole life but if I ever had my own family this would be it !
I've listened to many, many covers of this tune and the original still seems to be my favorite but I love many of the covers too, including this one, mostly because the video is heartwarming and the fiddle adds a lot.
Yeah, it makes me think why these so called professionals (CSN) didn't recognize how a fiddle would have enriched this song and sent it over the top ? Corporate rule and manipulation I guess....
A really great version of this lovely song ( and yes Suzanne - 2 years ago - I could hear your 3rd harmony and was joining in with it ! ) Hopefully Kappa, Paul and Emma are out there performing because they certainly should be ! Good wishes from Ely in England ! Dave
Woah. Grew up on these tunes. You guys nailed it. Great fiddle work as well. Wish the mike stand was out of the way so I could have seen the guitar work.
At 37, it seems like I've waited a lifetime (perhaps I have) for a worthy remake of a song I was raised with (and has too much emotional significance) congratulations..
Just outstanding! Killer harmonies, and the violin makes it sounds like a song you've never heard before. Gave me cold chills, and it 77 in the house! My name's not Len, but I give it the 10!
Beautiful arrangement... and beautifully done. All the same, it's a vocal duo adapted from a quartet... and I've got $50 says the young woman with the fiddle has the perfect third voice to fill the harmony out. Is she the "Emma" in the bunch? C'mon Emma... you play beautifully. You *can* sing too, you know. :-)
If Kappa married Paul, and they have Emma And Halie, they definitely have enough talent to tour. It would be a great concert to see/hear. They have so much more talent than any of the rappers, or people playing music that sucks. I see bands that the audience thinks are so good, that are terrible.
