Kudos to WCC! I don’t want to say something cliche like these women are heroes or something. They deserve applause for their relentless efforts to expose the dark underbelly of Malayalam film industry through a committee set up by Kerala government (which so many people already knew)

I am a common girl from Kerala, no where related to the film industry but from the bottom of my heart, I am thankful for all the risks you guys took. The word thanks itself is a small word, amidst everythiing you guys have been put through. As a girl, when I look at the history, I am greateful that I am born in this era and women like you from the past have gained me this freedom. Thank you so much. I pray this kind of cleansing happens not just in the film industry but to all the existing social realms. May both men and women get treated with dignity, let the coming generation do not get guided by the false role models. Thank you.
Kerala always spearheads remarkable precedents. The Hema Commission report, though delayed, is a grand success for WCC. Kudos! Truth wins no matter who tries to suppress it. This is an excellent example for film industry globally. Great effort ladies behind this.
Just to add, though not relevant to this video, mafias do exist in every profession and every industry. Anyone who speaks on bad practices or malpractices faces isolation and is targeted.

Many journos and news outlets have switched sides or lost their spine along the way but this young lady and her news platform have shown courage and grit all along. Keep up the good fight!
WCC should initiate forming their own production houses that give priority to femaie artists and technicians. Possibly full female units. Can hire new comer male artists to fill the role of male caracters. In case require financial support, approach the common public for croud funding. I am sure common people will support you generously.
The biggest issue is why powerful people oppress the vulnerable? Is it some kind of human psyche? I mean this started with Dileep and Dileep admirably came from the bottom and made it to the top but when he was at the top he was not just either. Pritivi and Vineet you can say are nepo kids but it seems they have done way more for industry and people around them then Dileep, mani, or any so called came from the bottom.

This is an issue much beyond just the film industry. Every workplace and all social gatherings it needs to be addressed and the society attitude when it comes to women problem needs to be changed..this is not the way a modern society should work..anyways kudos to all those who made this happen👏🏻

Everyone gives hype about Malayalam industry but as a south indian I can say the Malayalam movie collections also fake they show three times more collections it actually collected
How's a report that considers inputs from just 32 (0.1%) people credible? They did not consider the opinions of 99.9% of women working in the industry. It is clearly written in the report itself (page 13 and 14).
If the government had appointed a commission to study the flow of LSD, MDMA and marijuana in Kerala, then Rima Kallingal and her husband would've been giving this interview from her Jail cell in Poojapura..
Well I've some things which hasn't or not been noticed by many, though I'm not in favour of anyone involved in the case due to which the Justice Hema committee report has come out. 1) the incident involving the assault happened and the very next day the entire Malayalam movie artists held an open stage meeting at Cochin durbar hall grounds, where a former actress the only person in that meeting, openly made a claim that there's a conspiracy in this assault case. How did this lady knew there was a conspiracy much before the police have even started the investigation? 2) Why did the assault victim deny going for a medical report in the initial 48 hours of the incident ? 3) What made the culprit who's name syncs with a popular bike name scream in front of the media that he needs to talk to a MADAM who has more information related to this case but was denied in the early days of his arrest ? Who's the Madam here which the investigating people haven't revealed or taken it seriously. 4) There was media reports of a female high ranking officer who was bent upon wreaking some kind of vengeance on the actor involved and was taking the entire print and reel media news people for a ride while calculating the length and breadth of the land belonging to the actor in the full view of news media cameras and made a ultimate mockery of self as well as the state government. What was this officer's interest and her so called friendship with the actress mentioned in the point 1? 5) Doesn't the state government have any machinery and infrastructure to call in people for questioning or gathering evidences, where the actress mentioned in the point 1 was called in for a ROUTINE QUESTIONING at a resort near to guruvayur? Well yes women are exploited at various levels and places it's not just limited to film industry, so have to be voiced at every place. What should be done is what makes the perpetrators to feel that they can do anything and walk away with ease. This mindset should be checked and pondered
Take it to COURT, rip the perpetrators apart in an open court? Do you men have it in you? THAN DO- DONT JUST TALK, TALK, TALK and expect orhers to do THE DIRTY WORK

Hema Committee is only RECOMMENDARY in NATURE The Courts may use its discretionary POWERS, whether it stands upto to LEGAL SCRUTINY and INFEPTH INVESTIGATION. Otherwise, Madames, the Courts may throw this out of the windows
what about men who gets falsely accused by women and nobody talks about them.women involved are never exposed and the men who are proven innocent- too late they have lost everything.unless these women come out support of such male victims and give the same punishment to the involved women these horrible things will continue and men will never come out openly in support!
@@hitmans3768 Because of literacy only these women are at least able to speak about these issues. In other state Cinema industries, they may not even allow this kind of investigation.
@@hitmans3768 Bro, my CM is Stalin, not sure if he can take action in Kerala jurisdiction. On a serious note, I do agree than Kerala Government has not acted sufficiently on the report. But, at least in Kerala they did investigation and published some findings. Not sure where you are from, in TN film industry, I don't think they will even allow such investigation itself.
