Hemorrhagic Disease vs. CWD -- What is the difference between these deer diseases?
Hemorrhagic Disease is a sometimes-fatal, naturally occurring virual disease spread by biting flies, and we typically see large-scale outbreaks every 5-10 years. By contrast, Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) is always fatal to deer and elk, but has NOT been found in Kentucky.
