Couldn't stand Bisping back then. And then he knocked out Luke rockhold to win a championship. He's one of my favorite people on the internet now. A realist!
I feel the exact same way! I enjoyed Bisping on season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter, but for the bulk of his career, he was always battling fighters I liked more. His 2nd fight against Luke was the night before I moved from California to Oregon, and it was the sweetest going away gift I ever could have received. He does a great job behind the microphone as an analyst, and I'm truly a big fan now!

I never grew to like him sadly lol. Idk I never liked those who just talk to talk, show your worth in the ring. It’s why I like guys like Khabib so much, he doesn’t have to do the hype shit like Conor or Izzy (no shade to them, great fighters) just go out and destroy the opponent. Silent killers

Bisping was just torturing hendo on tuf tv show for weeks while filming absolutely insufferable . Hendo just kept a smile on his face and his mouth shut . I remember watching this at a Buffalo wild wings bar in The twin cities just packed shoulder to shoulder in the place went dead silent when they showed the replay lol .
An absolutely perfect right hand knockout. He kept that right hand primed the whole time like he was hunting with a harpoon, knowing that he only needed to get one good shot to put the whole fight in his favour. Henderson was a warrior here, do or die.
He literally knocked three months out of his brain. Bisping said that after the fight, he didn't think he was fighting Henderson for another 3 months. Damn that was a scary knockout. To take a punch like that and be relatively okay, besides a little memory loss in the short term, you have to respect that.
I love that Hendo makes no secret of his intention to use that right hand lol. He's like, you're going to know the H bomb is coming, you'll see it, but it won't help you.

I could watch this a thousand times and never get tired of it. Watching Bisping be demolished by that punch is truly UFC gold. If I am ranking my favorite moments in UFC moments, this is absolutely in the top 5.

Both these dudes had EXCELLENT hands. I feel like it’s been a minute since we have seen this caliber of striking. Maybe it has to do with better prep and defence now? Feels like fighters today play it safer and we don’t see these full blown stand-up wars very often. Then again, maybe I’m just nostalgic… Also think Bisbing is generally underrated. Dude can bang and did it with many of the best, never ducking opponents
I like Michael as a announcer now days! He is funny and very good at explaining things but Dan Henderson knocked his ass out lol!!!!! I loved it lmao! It still didn’t shut him up ! That was awesome! He went ice cold lol
If you watch the walkouts it's a premonition of what's to come. Michael Bisping full of nervous energy kinda jittery takes his hat off puts it back on like his mind is somewhere else. And Dan Henderson the polar opposite the guy walked out like he was a xanax just calm and cool no nerves

Where is the follow up that put him out another 20 seconds ? I met hendo shortly after this fight (maybe a yr) at the LV airport he was so cool , autographed my Pride FC shirt took pic etc I remember shaking his hand patting him on the shoulder\back area and it was like he was made of marble Absolutely solid muscle .
bisping just didnt have the experience but he had the will and the attitude lol also i miss these days of displaying sponsors on shorts lol dans literally got a yogurt company on his ass lol
Once he was knocked out, that second punch was absolutely unnecessary. I do not like that about MMA at all. Hitting people when they are already down, incredible dangerous. Do notlike Henderson for that reason.
Henderson should have been kicked out of the UFC for that second punch. Completely unnecessary and could have easily killed Bisping. People who can't control themselves at that level don't belong in the octagon.
