I’m 50 in a few months, in all my time as a Celtic supporter, this guy was the greatest. Like a ballet dancer in football boots. We were so blessed to have him.
Not only the best player in Scottish football but the best player in British football. Yes, he was better than a young CR7. It’s him and Dixie Dean, mate
I remember this man “could only do it in Scottish football” then he moved to Manchester and Barcelona proving everyone wrong and showed how shit hot he was! Massive respect from a Dundee united fan, henrik was class end of 🧡🖤
What a legend Even as a Gers fan I loved to watch Henrik The sad thing is the Scottish league will never have this class of footballer again. Great footballers chase the cash. Only legends do it for the football
My favourite Henrik story is that he said he was always happy if he left the ground at the same time as Jinky and Bertie as he would be totally ignored. Shows the humble nature of the genius that is the King of Kings.
Not gonna lie, I cried my eyes out during his last game for us, and I started tearing up just now watching this clip as well. What a player, what a man, what a legend, but most importantly, what a team of absolute winners - zero fear going up against Juventus, Barcelona, AC Milan, Liverpool.. T'was a golden era, and now I'm feeling dead old 🤣🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
I’ll never forget the team of 2003 , absolutely loved them , I remember watching the Celtic v Liverpool game at a pub in Blackpool, the atmosphere was electric, and when wee John h , scored that goal it was bouncing ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
When they start singing " You are our Larsson " i broke into tears 😂😢I absolutely idolised this man when I was younger , and hearing the song brought back amazing memories with my dad, my sister , my friends . We will never have another larsson , we may have players who score more. But we will never have another larsson 💚 Hail Hail to the King of Kings
Henrik , a true Celtic legend, what a player he will always be remembered as an outstanding Celtic player, and big Chris , well he’s another guy that gets what Celtic are all about 🎉☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️😂😂
My son is 7 year old and loves henrik LOVES larsson. People think he sacrificed his world class ability by nkt going to England or Europe and running a mock but he didnt he stayed loyal to the people the team the staff and the greatbclub he loves. The imortal henrik larsson is the imortal kind of kings HAIL.HAIL
How can 1 so humble be so Great....a truly remarkable man never mind a player.....get the encyclopedia oot....there is not enough words to describe this guy....LEGEND! KING OF KINGS! ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ PS.WHAT A WEEKEND BHOYS AND GHIRLS
A Hearts supporter here but I appreciate great Footballers and great football teams. Larsson is up there with the very best probably the greatest footballer Scotland has seen since the second world war. The Two best teams playing wise for me was the 1967 Celtic team and the great Aberdeen team from the 1980's I support Hearts as the very first game I was taken to as a child was the Hearts 0-7 Hibs new year game at Tynecastle in 1973.
The absolute biggest HERO of my life! Was greetin when he left & am greetin again the noo what a legend! Long live King Henrik the King of Kings! Henke u fukin Legend luv ya! 👊🏻❤🍀
Outstanding work ethic he put into every game, never complained, just got on with the game. He let his football do the talking. 7 years of exceptional talent.
for years this was not just the best player in scotland but in the uk. for the price celtic paid, and the loyalty he showed the club, coming back after a serious injury and still winning with barcelona and playing at man utd. i still remember the chip in the glasgow derby, the word legend is used to often. with Henrik Larsson he was more than that.
The absolute greatest. The run to seville 2003. All those goals, especially 2 goals in the final. He was the best, Is the best and will always be the best. Henrik you put smiles on our faces. Thanks for the memories. I just don't know where the time has gone. Henrik you will always be welcome in Glasgow.
For whatever reason, out of nowhere, I started singing this yesterday morning in the shower thinking it had been so long since I sang it, and I missed the song and seeing the likes of Henrik - must've almost been in sync as it was 7am Melbourne time.
He Truly was a Fantastic player to watch. So glad he chose Celtic to play for, sad to see him leave. But he moved on to New challenges. So well respected in the football community.
It must be hard not to tear up in such moments, even though these players played in times when football was hard, must be hard not to have a tear when you see such things, and what you as a player meant to people who were your fans while you played for there team. Very good player
As a wee guy about 11 I would kick ma ball about ma garden every night for ages wishing and pretending a was this man Henrik larsson. You will always be remembered long after ur gone 🫡
Wow what a player 46 never seen a player like him at Celtic and probably never will love the guy and the man standing beside him sutty gavee so many good memories thank you Henrik always the king in my eyes hail hail
I am from Henriks hometown Helsingborg in Sweden ,and he always made me proud wherever he played! Henrik played fotboll with such an elegans and smartness all the time. I think we never se such a great player again from Helsingborg...
One of the comments mentioned they would love to see Henrik as our next manager. I hope he never becomes our manager, because it never ends well. When you look at the last 20 managers, only Martin, Wim and Ange left the club with their reputation the better.
As a dunfermline fan I think he was arguably the best player I've seen since the 1980s. He won the cup final for you against us but I don't think any of our fans ever had a bad word to say against him.
Wonderful to see these two great Celts together again. I never got to see Henrik live. The closest I came was a pre season friendly at Loftus Road against QPR but I was unable to get to the game. I moved to England in 1987 which explains it. My era of going to Celtic matches was in the early eighties although I did see a few matches in the seventies and nineties as well. My Mum was not really a great football fan but did take me to my first Celtic game when I was ten years old. She loved Henrik, though, which says a lot about his charm and his personality. She just didn't like the way he stuck his tongue out after scoring! "I wish he wouldn't do that!" she used to say which always made me smile. Truly one of the greatest ever Celts. I love watching videos of him on You Tube as I recall famous matches where he excelled (too numerous to mention, of course) and which I originally watched live on Sky Sports. He was a complete steal at £650,000. We got lucky there as he was not enjoying his club football in Holland and was happy to join Celtic. I think that is one of the reasons he stayed with us so long: we gave him a home and the platform to show his skills. And he repaid us in spades. In any case he always said his family loved Scotland and he was one of those rare players who wasn't bothered about earning pots of money. He wanted to play where he was loved and where he could enjoy his football and that was at Celtic (lucky for us). I loved the way he always referred to Celtic Park as The Park. That said it all for me.
Still embarrassed to think these are the same fans that actually booed Henrik when returning to Paradise with Barcelona. Long live the King HH God ☘️☘️👌
I was at the game no supporter boo'd Henrik coming on. We were all singing hail hail the Celts are here. And when he scored it was the quietest I've ever heard parkhead in my life. Stop talking shite.
