Henriksen Forte Tube Amplifier, Unboxing, First Impressions and Review 

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I did a second video on this amp where I pushed the front end into more of a 'crunch' which is surprisingly useable. Unfortunately these amps are currently discontinued so the second hand market might be worth looking at. Cheers!

Remember however that unlike the boogie this is a solid-state power amp. It is less common to have that functionality at it simply amplifies what the preamp gives it, like a PA speaker. In the boogies, the power amp tubes react differently based on the signal of the preamp and therefore need the extra stage of tweaking to massage the tone through the power tubes. That's the way I think about it anyway!

@@CharlesHarrisonMusicTuition didn't think about it that way! I commented in yout follow up about the volume. Their website states fender twin loudness. Is that true? (Not that anyone needs that kind of power in 2020)

@@MEDiumInc Yeah I've never dared turn it up past 12o clock, even at gigs, but that doesn't surprise me at all. It is a very present and room filling sound even at low volumes, so I am confident that it can get to the ear splitting levels of the twin or a comparable volume! Still love this amp btw 😎

@@CharlesHarrisonMusicTuition It's been a while now Charles how about another Forte video. i am really curious about that saturation knob. I tried it at a local shop and just didn't get much difference, Henriksen really needs to make a instructional video or supply a decent manual. you are the only one on the Net that actually took the time to go through it. Hi Patrick, thanks for you feedback! Just to clarify, this is technically still a solidstate and can sound almost identical to the solid state henriksen jazz amp but this has a 12 inch fine instead of 10. Not sure why the volume so low, just double checked the video and the amp sounds loud and clear- perhaps there is a phasing issue in your audio setup? Amp sounds absolutely killer in person and I think this video gets the vibe across but it must be heard to be believed! Thanks very much, Charles
