I'm a huge comic book fan and Henry Cavill is exactly how I always pictured Superman's appearance. I remember one female writer who reviewed Man Of Steel back in 2013 saying that she thought Cavill as Superman was actually too good-looking and that Cavill as Superman looked too much like a male-model. But I think that that writer missed the point. Superman is supposed to be an ideal, an Adonis and yes, he absolutely should look like a model, the same way Wonder Woman, Thor, Captain America, etc, do. Obviously, Superman is far more than just being a good-looking man but his looks and physicality undeniably do go into making up a big part of who he is as a character.
