One of the most accurate rifles - right out of the box. It is heavy for a 22 but that’s makes for a steady aim. Killed a groundhog at 100 yards last week that had been making a mess out of my hayfield. Wonderful rifle!

I have owned a Golden Boy for several years. My wife loves to shoot it. She will shoot a brick of .22LR in one visit to the range. I have nothing but praise for Henry. They are an American company and always will be! My other favorite .22 lever action is a Marlin Golden 39A that I bought in 1963 for $69 from a mail order company! I was 18 at the time. It is probably my most cherished firearm. Love those .22 lever action rifles.

I'm based in Australia. I had a superficial issue with my Goden Boy and the problem was fixed ASAP. Just so happened that the President took care of the matter himself. What a decent bloke I tell you. I'll now be a lifelong customer because of that experience. What a great company, what great firearms.

I was thirteen when my father got me my first gun, a Henry .17 HMR octagonal barrel, after moving to the country three years prior and finally having land to shoot. The Henry Repeating Arms company does not just produce firearms, but works of art. I'm 17 now, and when I have kids in the future, I hope to pass my Henry on to them, and hopefully they will do the same. The lever action is just a good platform to learn on. I live in Rome and will definitely pay y'all a visit.

I just missed an old goldenboy. Did some work for a lady who husband just passed away and she was selling some tools and guns. Had a beautiful lever .22. Asked her what she wanted and she said $200. I'm an honest guy and she is very good to me so I told her I'd give her 400$ knowing it's worth atleast 5. At the last moment her son called and thr only one he wanted was that .22 . Which I understand. It was probably the first gun he ever shot

This was the first gun I ever bought...I was a little over 18 years old...I loved that gun (it got stolen from my apartment). It was very accurate and fun to shoot...I remember shooting quarters (25 cent coins, yes) at about 30 yards with it very accurately. It was about one for one hitting those quarters. Yes, they were a little hard to make out at that distance, but with the patience and steadiness, it can be done.

This has got to be my favorite Henry Goldenboy video on youtube, and I'm a big Hickok45 fan too! Those tracers are really cool to watch. One thing I noticed shooting my own Goldenboy is captured well here. When they are shooting the paper target at 50yds, notice the 1st shooter has the gun directly on the rest, and is much further off the orange dot and has a wider group. Eric has his hand between the gun and the rest, and has a much tighter group that is also closer to the dot. This is the only gun I own where I think resting it directly on the rest has some harmonic effect with the barrel causing accuracy to suffer. Having your hand between the gun and the rest seems to greatly increase accuracy!

I guess they figured out that its well worth just giving them the gun if they get a nice video out of the deal. They will get tens of thousands of gun buyers to stop and look at their rifle for 23 minutes just from this one video. How else would they accomplish that for $400? (and that assumes they actually provided the rifle here, which may not be the case)
@BigIrish89

Sometimes nothing beats just plinking with good old open sights. We should all do it occasionally, if no other reason than to remind us of the fact that our ancestors had nothing else and yet did pretty damn real well without scopes, you guys won your independence from us with them, and later together we we fought 2 World Wars with them! The original Henry rifles were built alongside Bushkill Creek in what is now Jacobsburg State Park in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. The original homestead is still there and well preserved. A look at the company website points out the factory in CT that mass produced them but they are a gun originating in Pennsy. A real quality gun of amazing craftsmanship.

I bought the .22 Magnum version back in November and I've yet to shoot it. Definitely in love with the style of the rifle though.

The walnut on that GoldenBoy looks to be finished much more glossy than the standard walnut. The clean coat on mine isn’t nearly as glossy.

Purchased two of these for my boys a cpl of months back. Had Henry do the engraving on each receiver also. They're fantastic and my favorite gun purchase to date.

Great rifle. Purchased one in the South Island in January this year. Took it to the range and was amazed at the accuracy and ease of use. Far superior to my Winchester .22 mag. and better than any .22 I've owned. This will be my "forever" rifle from now on. Thanks for sharing your video.

I own three Henry 22 Rifles. The standard lever action, the Frontier lever action and the Frontier Pump. Can't say enough good things about them. Fit and finish are perfect, with CCI and Federal ammo they all shoot accurately!!! The Pump is my favorite. Never had a "Jam" or any problem with any of them. Money well spent !!! In our "everything plastic" world it's nice to have Walnut and Steel. I don't have the "Golden Boy " YET but I will soon...LOL

I got one of the 2 years ago and I love it. You can get it with a black coated receiver for 325-350, so about 50-100 cheaper (which is what I have) runs like a dream, just wish I had an open range near by so I could test it's accuracy at a distance. Since I live in IL the furthest I've been able to run it is about 30 yards unfortunately.

Loads exactly the same as my Canadian Cooey bolt-action .22, with the tubular magazine. I never get sick of .22's. This little rifle would feel like pure Zen to shoot.

My grandfather recently bought one of these for around $475. He checks into a website that has "trending prices" on collectors firearms, and that site said the running price at the time was closer to $530. He hasn't shot it yet, and says he doesn't really intend to. It's an absolutely beautiful rifle, and so is the Big Boy (same thing, in .30-30 or .30-06, I can't remember which).
@nycyabber7103

Damn they're still the same price 7 years later. Take that inflation!
