A range review with the Henry H001 22lr levergun. This is the basic Henry that has been popular for over 25 years now. This gun features a buttery smooth action and is a ton of fun to plink with. That does not mean it was absolutely perfect out of the box though.

Preacher ... sit down on the table-top with some targets, on a cooler day, and carefully plot where your bullets are going, and adjust accordingly. Once you nail it, you'll love that little rifle.

I have installed some Hi Viz sights on there that I need to try out. It is on my list of things to do, which is really long as usual; but hopefully I will get around to it sooner than later. Thanks for the advice.

I inherited one when my father passed and ended up buying 2 for our son's guess we were fortunate all 3 were dead on out of the box. Over the years my eyesight has decreased that i ended up putting a scope on mine, but still is dead on. These are great guns and i realize I'm late to the game but if you would have contacted Henry the customer service is great they might have made this right for you. The one thing i like is their life time warranty they have wether you the original purchaser or the next guy they stand behind their rifles.

Owned one for near 5 years. Great gun. Many thousands of rounds, almost no trouble, and super accurate. Can't go wrong as first .22 or an inexpensive addition to any collection. And you can adjust the windage on the rear sight by loosening the allen fitting, and gently tapping with a small plastic hammer on the part that dovetails into the barrel, and re-tightening.

It’s a solid gun. It’s been a minute since I’ve shot mine but mine was shooting right too. I drifted the sight and got it shooting straight.

I'm thinking about buying one of these.. one suggestion.. high light the rear sight with neon yellow finger nail polish.. and put orange on the front.. I learned the color combo from my hi point pistol.. talk about easy to see.. I have done it to a couple of other pistols and wow.. 👍

I have installed a set of Hi Viz sights on it. I am intending to do another video at some point. I have sight paint in a variety of colors that I use on some of my guns. I don't know if I have ever tried the yellow and orange combo, though. I may have to try that.

I have this rifle in the youth model I love it, it is like a super carbine I put on sling swivels and leather wrapped the lever also I got the saddle ring receiver cover from henry it is my hiking gun pair it with a wrangler and a holster you feel like your riding the range

I picked up 2 black Wranglers and seen the Henry 001 Classic at Wally World . Picked it up too. My single 6 holster works with the Wranglers. Ended up with cowgirl boots and a black Stetson. Spouse says I look like I belong in the 1880s walking around the farm.

I have the same rifle, windage is ok but shoots a couple of inches high at 25 yards at the lowest setting. I still like it a lot, even though the receiver is painted, not blued. Peep sights would make all the difference.

I really liked it as well, other than it not being sighted in properly. I have still got to get back out and try the Hi Viz and Skinner peep sights I bought. At some point I plan on making a follow up video about those options.

I have one. Great rifle. The sights were way off when it was new. They are adjustable, and now it is dead on.

I adjusted these as well after the video, but they were still very hard to see for me. So I bought some different sights for it, which were a big improvement for me. I just posted the follow-up video a few days ago. Thanks for watching.

At least yours loads and shots. Sending mine in to Henry because the rounds jam. I at least go one shot off by Loading a round in the chamber.

So what you are saying is out of the box the 'tactical' Rossi was a bit more accurate

I guess you could say that The sights were more dialed in on the Rossi because they were adjustable and we were able to sight them in. The Henry was shooting with great precision, just not at the point I was aiming at.

@@Preacher357 You get the sights fixed and 001 will be as good as the Rossi. I would love to have a target shootout with you. I would bring my model 61 Winchester.

@@Jeanie363034 You would probably beat me. I am not the greatest of riflemen. I put some different sights on the H001 and it was much better. I decided to let it go though. I traded it in on other guns for the channel.

I have the H 001 Classic , 1967 Ruger 10-22 and Winchester model 61 pump (1947) Hard to pick one to take out for the day. Mom has a Marlin 60 said she will leave it to me some day.

Comparando com o Rossi rio bravo, qual se sai melhor.

O Rossi Rio Bravo se compara muito bem ao Henry. O Henry tem um ajuste e acabamento um pouco melhor, e tem uma ação mais suave. No entanto, os pontos turísticos de Rossi são melhores e são um pouco mais baratos. Gostei das duas armas. Ambos são muito divertidos no intervalo.
