All the internet only had your training and Paul Hamilton's Now Michelle's will be the third. Well done her having her training recorded. Mussels are not needed on the sub 70, She will love it.
Hi Blue, I hope the videos will help others and thank you for the support to the channel. I still have your last message to read out but I haven't been able to fly on my own with all the dual seat flying, its a hard life... Haha.
Well what can I say, you came over just as I thought you would, primative sky god 🙂 Great video and thank Michelle so allowing us to follow her putting up with you thrusting a camera at her.
Hi Martin, it always good to share the passion of flying and this is definitely an amazing next step I'm my flying journey and being able to also share Michelle's is a privilege.
Well Giles you seem to have settled into this instructing malarkey very well, your a natural! Are we going to be following this lovely lady throughout her sub 70 journey?
Good lesson 👍 Since the control bar is so high for her smaller frame her arms are more up than pointed out. Maybe a seat cushion to raise her up to give more strength in controlling? Cheers
Hi Allan, we did have a good spell of weather, then nearly 3 weeks or wind, rain and fog. Thanks for liking the video, your support to the channel is always appreciated.
Looking forward to watch this journey. Don’t be scared to share longer videos with all the details :-) I have 70hours on Air Creation Tanarg, but still learning a lot.
Hi Jindrich, the video length is always a balance as most (RU-vid statistics) only watch about 50%. I still only make them for fun and I'm glad you want to join my next journey. Have you been watching for a while?
@@GolfFoxtrot22 Hi, I completaly understand. I watch your youtube channel since your journy :-), I had another account before. You make great and truly unique content as only really a few people from all around the world does similar content around this beautiful flying. I see this also as an another education for me, so I can fly save. If you would consider detailed theory training (online) this could be really hit on the youtube:-) Platforms like Patreon are ideal for such content.
@@jindrichrosicka908 I'm actually working with my current school to provide only tuition. Have a look for Micro Training on Facebook. Thank you for your kind words and support to the channel.
Great stuff, Giles & Michelle. I sympathise with Michelle finding the bar tough at times - practising continuous circuits on the GT450 left me shaking! By comparison, she will find the sub-70 machine a delight to handle! I shall watch her journey with interest. John
Hi John, I read your message out to Michelle, she is looking forward to flying the Sub70 machine and I agree with you the GT450 is a bit of a handful if you are not used to it.
Deja vu back to my first lesson in March. 17 hours and including 5 solo so far and hoping to get my cross country flights done next lesson. I did notice in this video that it appears neither of you have shoulder harnesses on, would be good to get your thoughts on the reasons.
Hello Martin, I hadn't forgotten about your comment and needed to research the bigger picture on your question about shoulder straps. In short if the passenger is in the rear seat they are to wear the full harness. There was a significant accident back in 2001, following the AAIB investigation the CAA pushed out a mandatory fitment of shoulder straps to the aircraft and now is an aircraft permit check that they are fitted. Regarding instruction from the rear seat, if the shoulder straps are used, the PIC or instructor is physically unable to have full control of the aircraft, which makes it unsafe. Each aircraft PoH will have specifics on whether it is a "should" or "must" be used for flight. I hope that helps answer your question and again, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
I'd say they handle turbulence just as well. I've flown all kinds over the last 30 years and I'd say it's down to the pilots bump tolerance that wins in most instances. In the Flexwing the wing moves around a lot but the trike doesn't. In the 3 axis, if the wing moves, you are definitely moving with it.
@@GolfFoxtrot22 yeah i noticed that opinions on turbulence are very different from pilot to pilot in ultralight aviation. Some say " it's very harsh" and some say "it's perfectly fine" but they all agree that gyrocopter handles turbulence the best. How does peabee handle turbulence?
@DK Danis I've never flown a Gyrocopter. In the 90s they had the highest fatality rate in Germany, so as a kid that kind of put me off. I'm not sure why they are so expensive. The ones I see in the UK are around £100k new... 🤷♂️. Are you a Gyro pilot?
@@GolfFoxtrot22 No I'm not any kind of pilot i'm just curious about aviation. Gyrocopters are safe now. Things that made them dangerous are fixed now. Problem was older ones had high thrust line that could cause bunt over when pilot makes negative g. Newer ones have center thrust line plus stabilizer and they can't buntover.
When you see an edited video, you don't get the full time line of the information flow. I cut out all the quiet parts as its not really entertaining. I hope that clarifies why it might seem that way.
