, @Catherine Branson, in Jamaica, it's thickened porridge (cornmeal, or banana), then crushed chocho with butter. Straight from breast milk to people food grown and prep at home! :)
Here in India, In hindu Dharma , we have whole ceremony for this, called Annaprashan,( Sanskrit word) meaning food feeding ceremony. We have whole ritual & multiple cusine & each family member feeds the baby & bless them one by one. Ofcourse it just feeding a bit of different food items & seeing their reaction. Its all fun & spritual celebration.
How adorable tiny Sophia is and every bit as excited about her food! That spoon is interesting. I can see how it helps the food to stay on and yet she is able to get enough to know she wants more. Her 1st happy dance! I enjoyed this like I did with my own!
What a beautiful little gem! Baby Sophia beginning her love for food at her own table. Her wriggles, giggles and happiness are a joy to see as she relishes the taste, texture and aroma of her beautiful meals.
