Saraa Basaria shares her experience with a life changing heart situation. Initially, her symptoms were dismissed as stress from the work she did. Her age played a role in healthcare providers not taking her symptoms seriously and doing diagnostic testing.
As a result, Saraa nearly didn't survive "I was airlifted in critical condition. It was terrifying." She shares what it was like living with an LVAD and why you must "Trust your instincts and push for thorough examinations."

Disrupting Patient Care
Simin Gharib Lee is changing the way women experience healthcare by giving women group visits combined with nutrition and 1:1 breakouts with physicians.
"Group health visits offer a unique opportunity for patients to learn from each other’s experiences and support one another through shared health challenges.
These visits allow for a more interactive and comprehensive approach to care, where patients can ask questions, receive immediate feedback, and gain a deeper understanding of their health conditions.
In a group setting, patients often feel more empowered and engaged, which can lead to better health outcomes and a stronger sense of community among participants."-Dr. Simin Lee
