HERCULES WINCH PROBLEMS? TIPS ON HOW TO FIX 2 COMMON PROBLEMS.  

Ive had a few of those winches, had to replace the big coil spring and rod in my winch piston and they are a little tricky to get the sweet spot so they hold, and free spool

How do you measure that distance on the brake piston cylinder? I.e. how do you get it to move while you measure it?...thanks
