Hank is intelligent too know the babies weren’t as smart or reactive towards him .. and also knowing not too bite them so he had no choice but too give them time and patience.. very amazing dog. Impeccable.
The amazing potential and discipline of a well trained dog is extraordinary! Hank is going against his natural instincts only because he was trained to control his emotions. As a city dweller I don’t get to see first hand the reason why our doggies were bred a certain way to perform specific tasks. I watch these videos to remind me that my demon possessed pup has so much potential but needs alot of guidance right now to bring it out later. Thank you for this video!
We've just had newborn fluffy lambs appear in the fields and farms around where I live and it's the only time my dogs give the Mum's a wide berth and allow them to throw their weight a little more than they otherwise tolerate. Their awareness and understanding that Mum is up on her toes and getting a bit more cocky towards them comes from protecting the youngsters is amazing but they only let it slide for a couple of months or so before “OK that's it... THE HELL ARE YOU STAMPING AT THEN EH?!” When there's a curious, inquisitive and overconfident lamb that comes running up to the dogs wanting to play they dunno what to do. It's a bit like a little girl trying to cause a fight with a pro-boxer they set off trying to run out the way looking back intermittently just “What... what am I meant to do with this thing? Go away! Go on - get!”
That's the keenest dog I've ever seen. I'm a hill tribal from Northeast india, our dogs are Asiactic bear breed hounds ours are fierce hunting dog as well as most dedicated child keeper.
Hank is an absolute treasure to watch. I really wish you could do more videos of your dogs moving stock. Never ceases to amaze me. And the cues, I've never heard those particular words used. Are they your own development?
