Here’s how good (and bad) my 2022 Ram 2500 Cummins has been for its first year and 19,000 miles.

I just bought a 2022 2500 Limited Longhorn with 12,000 miles so it's still under factory warranty should anything happen in next couple of years. So far very impressed with it.

Those limited longhorns are 🔥. By far the nicest interior I’ve ever seen on a truck, and better than most vehicles out there period.

Great video! I have a 21 RAM 2500 w/Cummins and I have 30,000 miles on it. Still running stock tires, I do more driving up and down the state of California than anything. I have only had issues with the passenger side RAM box which RAM finally fixed after 5 or 6 tries, and three recalls. They are ordering the part I need for the tranny dip stick recall and then once that is fixed I mean I really haven't had any issues.

The blind spot mirror can be adjusted from the inside. Also those aren't spots for a camera on other models. Those are lights on your mirrors that you can turn on inside the cab. They are very bright and work great.

@Jarod Roney 🤯 it can?! I’ll look up how to do that, that will make these mirrors so much better! Also, that’s right, I remember bumping on those lights on the mirrors, they are super bright. Thanks for giving me the facts! 💯💪

@Gavin Walker I ordered a 22 and watched your videos during my long wait. I'm still learning about the truck as well. I can tell you this. You can put 35 12.50 20's on the truck with a level kit with no rub. You have to get a +18 offset. That's what I have for mine but I'm in Upstate NY so I have my stocks on now.
@gavinwalker5686
@gavinwalker5686 Год назад
@Jarod Roney you have 12.5” wide tires on your stock 20s? Or you have a couple sets of wheels and you switched out for winter ? I tried to look up how to adjust the bubbles, I think mine might not be fancy enough of a package. Do yours adjust from the inside? How are you liking your truck?

A dealer near me has a couple 22' leftovers, not sure i can give up my trusty paid off toyota tundra, however i wish i had 3/4 ton capacity, i always had rams before the tundra, but the tundra has been flawless, for the money these things cost id be dissapointed to have annoying issues
@gavinwalker5686
@gavinwalker5686 Год назад
Tundras are bullet proof. If it wasn’t for the 22 tundras not having a bench and the used ones with benches being super inflated because of Covid, I’d be driving one of those right now. That being said I do also really like this truck. Tows amazing, full size bed with the huge backseat, interior quality and design is fantastic. Has some issues, one really big one, but we’ll see how it pans out long term.

@@gavinwalker5686 You can do a vid on the install. If your worried about you transmission there are valve body kits for ATS and others that help reduce issues. You might want to get an replacement pan that adds fluid to help keep temps down.

There is a company that has a fix for the dipstick thing and it was cheap. I seen a video of it here on RU-vid. These new rams sure do have a ton of issues. Be buying a truck this summer and it’s between the ram and Chevy diesel. Only reason I may go with the ram is that they are so much easier and cheaper to delete.
@gavinwalker5686
@gavinwalker5686 Год назад
@shane brown yes I’ve seen that fix too, I have a service appointment next week for a few things, check tie rod, recall on the tailgate, and I’ll see if they have their part fix in stock for the dipstick.

@shane brown I know a lot of people with chevys that have had plenty to complain about too. 🤷‍♂️ I think you just never quite know what you’re gonna get these days.
@mx3727
@mx3727 Год назад
Why would you delete a brand new truck? The emission systems on them nowadays are pretty rock solid. I have over 125,000 miles on my stock 2017 Cummins with no aftertreatment issues. Where people run into trouble is when they start adding crap tunes and lots of mods. Then of course, they blame the factory emissions system for their self-induced problems.....but hey, to each their own I guess.....
@gavinwalker5686
@gavinwalker5686 Год назад
@@mx3727 I began looking into deleting when I thought my emissions system was the problem. My DEF system appeared to be the culprit initially. I wouldn't delete it until after my warranty period anyways. But, over the t2 month shop period, turn out it was just my PCM, which wasn't communicating to the DEF system properly and causing the malfunctions. I'm definitely curious how it'll do over the next 80k miles or warranty.

@gavinwalker5686
@gavinwalker5686 Год назад
@Mark David Casino last I heard there was no fix from Ram. Someone sent me a link from ATS for a diverter you snap on the end of the dipstick tube so if it does overheat it won’t spray the coolant on the engine. I’ll probably get that pretty soon here.
