I am not a shopper but why order groceries if you're going to complain about the shopper texting you when your items are out of stock? They should go do their own shopping if they are going to complain.
So first I want to point out that the OP is completely negligent and incompetent to understand anything you’re saying. I 100% agree with you. If I’m using a luxury service app, you best bet I’m going to be by my phone to give answers or give suggestions. Prime example, I got a negative rating, as a shopper yesterday because the customer reported that I didn’t give them their bag of flour, but that it was damaged. Last I checked, you can’t say you didn’t get an item and say it’s damaged. And, I literally turned my pants and shirt white to get them an unopened or undamaged bag. I even messaged them multiple times about replacements. And got nothing back. If a customer wants to waste their money. Let them. But don’t complain when a service is being provided. Thank you for understanding us as shoppers despite not being one!
Im a shopper and I notify ppl as I go. I never know how long Ill have to wait until a customer responds. I do understand though about sending a lot of messages. I always get compliments on my communication.
Great advice for new shoppers! You’ll make so much more money in tips this way. Probably like a whole extra 1-3 dollars per order.. which you’ll need cuz you’re probably only gonna do 3 orders within 10 hours with all the time you waste. 🤦🏽
Nah I’m not doing all that. I text and replace as I go. If the possible replacement is obvious like they only have a smaller or bigger size, I grab it, text them and keep going. Trying to back track especially if you have multiple customers is a nightmare. Because every time I wait they end up asking for something I didn’t see when I was on the aisle and now I gotta go back and look. I’ll just leave my cart half the time and just go grab other stuff I need that near by when I’m trying wait for a reply. Bc I swear people order coffee but want tea as a replacement 🙃just to annoy me.
The thing is if you do that and they don't like the replacement you already have in your cart you'd have to go back to each isle to replace with what the ask for equals longer time wasted
Luckily I haven’t had a lot of substitutions, but I’ve been saving them towards the end just bc “save the worst for last”…. Glad I did the right thing. Same time I agree w/ other comments… OMG I do not want to walk back thru the whole store again
That's tough to do bro. At the end of the day it's their order they should be happy that you care enough to text them in regards to every item they need to substitute
Yes but if I send an order for items to be sent to my mother's house because we are having company for dinner and ur texting me on the job, I won't even get them. No phones allowed on the floor. However I also allow for replacement or cancel items. Like Lea and perrins Worcestershire sauce DO NOT EVER substitute some cheep a** sardine water, just cancel that one😂😂
I think customers should follow along. Regardless if they are busy or not were bust trying to make sure they get good replacements if items are out of stock. And if they are busy the might prefer to keep checking back on replacements Versus spending 15 mins or more at once trying to decide what replacements they want
I’m not doing that then u have to be running back and fourth for those out of stock items that’s crazy under a time limit I tell them right there while I’m in the area
Most definitely who doing all that running around when the your right in front of the items and can pick up the replacement right there if they would like a replacement
I don't like back tracking. I do good texting as I go for replacements. You waiste time going back to other sections. For example. 1st item out of stock. Don't text yet. At least find 1 item. Some customers take 2 long to text back. To make sure my customers are active I send a short message saying what item is not in stock & picture of what's available. Also I go to produce 1st. Produce is usually stocked. Open all bags you need (I open 5 bags so I can be ready to bad produce) and grab ties before starting. Really depends on size of store in my opinion.
good advice on a standard order. Sometimes I will have too many replacements to do this strategy though, because it can be overwhelming getting a text with 10 different items out of stock. This could lead to miscommunication. Half the time I tried this customers would only help me with like one item out of my list then just disappear.
Haha yeah I notice A lot of customers that help with the first item and then just disappear immediately after. I just refund it and it’s on the customer at that point to reach back to me. Don’t be afraid to have a lil backbone and authority with your time ppl it’s all part of the game!
@@skoomaguy3748I’m new to this. Is it better to scan a similar suggestion if one is close enough to original item, or refund and wait to see if they ask for something else?
I rather text them right away but I will try this method out to see which route is quicker and efficient. This method might be ok. Doesn’t hurt to try.:)
Nah this is dumb af. People underestimate how big stores are and having to back track, pushing around a heavy ass cart that you can’t leave anywhere because employees think it’s abandoned and they gotta put it all back on the shelfs. Maybe don’t use these services if notifications are too much for you ❤
Yeah pretty much, most people seem to be ok with the auto generated messages, and if you have to do it that much where it gets annoying I would more suggest blacklisting that store.
This was an AWESOME TIP 💯 By letting the shopper know you are currently shopping and will text them soon about items not found.. More than likely they will be looking out for a text from you. It’s more time texting about every item.. stopping, pulling out your phone, twiddling your thumbs in the isles waiting on a text back..per item. Those were things I just did it a couple minutes ago 🥲😅😂 I said let me get on RU-vid for the hacks and found this awesome tip💪🏾😂😂
I text as I go. They get pictures. The whole works for subs. If they haven’t responded they get a 2 minute warning text. Letting them know I’m done and about to checkout. Shipt needs to do a better job informing the customer they can select subs when they place the order. Stop putting it on the shopper
This is extremely helpful specially for the bigger stores. Where I was communicating with a customer About a item that wasn’t in stock they were taking so long that I just continued to shop. Finally I was in the back of the store and had to walk back to the front of the store because they wanted to know what other replacements they had 😩 that was the longest order I had.
Nah. Ain't doing that. That means you are going back to the aisles AGAIN to get what they need. The customer knows substitutions may happen and should be prepared for a shopper to be reaching back out. It's good to let the customer know at the beginning to be on stand by in the event of substitution. Customers appreciate that.
I've been doing Shipt for a year. That wouldn't work for me. Too much time consuming. I rather text the customer when I come across an item not available and suggest options for sub. Plus I don't do huge orders but only for my preferred customers since I know them very well.
Lmfao he’ll naw only time I’ll txt is when I’m On my way! If you ain’t got a replacement you ain’t getting it I ain’t got time to wait for you to respond I’ve got other orders after you sorry
How do a customer get mad that you texting them with options if if something out of stocks I thought that was a good ideas to communicate with your customer that you shopping for
@@LandoSuccess yessss thank you Lando 💪🏾 Glad I found your channel. I’m new to Shipt and was doing the exact same thing your wife said “Dangg” to 😂😂😂. I will take your advice! Not only that but I’m into crypto too so your channel is a one stop shop 💪🏾❤️
Advice for your wife: Go do the shopping yourself if you gonna complain about a shopper going above and beyond for your ridiculous order. 🤔 Complaining about being notified too much.. 🙄
The fact that Shipt is ALLOWED to hide or prompt tip later in a GROCERY SHOP ORDER should be CRIMINAL Imagine breaking your back on a shipt order for no tip(base pay is horrendous for the work) Even doortrash and Uber eats show entire payout on grocery orders
Just started today and noticed that the claim offer that I completed did not include tip. Does the tip come in later? You shouldn’t get the tip in cash form when you deliver from the customer right?
Naw this is horrible advice. Text as you go and take the most likely sub option with you and keep it moving for if they respond late. Texting everything at once is going to have you sitting waiting for a response and walking all over the place again
@@LandoSuccess oh no sweetie, I do. Don’t think you’re superior just because you made a silly little video. The fact that you don’t understand that time is money, and that customers in my market are absent from messaging, shows you know nothing about how these apps work in specific markets.
@@LandoSuccess and the fact that most comments agree with me, and you heart them, further shows your inability to be logical and success driven. You do you sweetie. I’ll do me.
@@LandoSuccess if insta wanted to pair me with bad batches they would. I get $40+ batches left and right for minimal miles and less than 10 items. So don’t come at me thinking you’ve got it figured out.
So you don’t like it when somebody is doing a favor for you because you’re too lazy or incapable of doing the work yourself, and wants what’s best for you? You may have hundreds to blow on nonsense, but some of us can’t make ends meet, even only eating beans and rice. Think twice before you think your shopper is such a massive inconvenience to you and your life, to simply ask if a substitute is suitable. You’re probably one of those 40 item, 20 mile people that only tip 3 bucks 🤣
I do that myself Pretty simple and logical..why tf would u keep texting em everytime u dont find an item Just skip that ho instead if wasting time on it lol All the negotiations at the end
