Lord I get them talker’s too on Instacart and DoorDash and I don’t know how I do it as I am anti social but one thing I will do is communicate with the customer which helps out a lot

Shipt can be very, very good but it depends on area and how much time you have put into it. If you can put the time in to build up preferred shoppers you can make a lot more money than on the other apps.

Shipt is one of the 5 apps I use on a daily basis and in my market they can be hit or miss. That is why I keep track of every order I do on Shipt. I write down the order number and address of every Shipt order I take so I know who tips and who doesn't. If there is an offer from an address I've never delivered to before I will accept it if the item count and mileage are reasonable. Basically it's my "test" to see if that customer is a tipper or not. I know not everyone will want to take the time to keep track of all that but there are some really great orders on Shipt and it pays off in the end being able to screen out the subpar offers.

Yes that was a nightmare shop Lou and Mary I personally would have lost my mind I just started instacart on Tuesday done 10 batches already only thing I hate is most of the customers I’ve had don’t put substitutions or refund which would make it a lot easier but the 10 I’ve done have been cool.

Just out of habit I tip more on Shipt than on Instacart because you typically get better shoppers. I’m someone who prefers shoppers who communicate and they usually do a good job with that on Shipt orders.

Instacart customer here. Thanks for shopping for others. I try to not schedule delivery on weekends and only order things easy to find/substitute.

They’re very different beasts. Shipt is a long game but with Instacart you get straight to it and know what you’re getting. I don’t think they’re comparable head to head. Edit: damn can’t believe there’s shoppers like that out there meanwhile I hit every single communication point and then some and am still waiting on forgiveness for a 1 star 🥴🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

You guys say almost everything is annoying, if you had just taken pictures the first time she could have told you what she wanted, I just don’t understand why you just make your own decisions instead of letting them pick.

Some people don't look at the apps. What do you do? Wait an eternity until they eventually come to the app? Executive decisions have to be made on the spot

In their case, I would have been stressing that the customer with all these demands would give me a negative review because nothing was available and every replacement had to be discussed. I would have unassigned and take the loss

As a milk lover, I would never switch out organic/non-organic or the "type" of milk. People are very specific about the type of milk they like. I only get whole organic milk and won't drink any other kinds. However, I put substitutions and watch the app when I order. So, with organic whole milk, only replace it with that, but you can change brand and/or size if necessary. Your videos these days just make me think how inexpensive gas is other places.

I don't like milk on its own but I do use it for creams like oatmeals, wheat, and cornmeal cereal in the morning. The only substitutions I would do are low fat or whole. I tried the almond, oat, and all those other things and I didn't like them for my morning cereal 🥣 It doesn't create a creamy texture like regular milk does. So, I agree with you. But I don't order off of these apps. I go get stuff myself. And the times that I have ordered from Walmart for pick up, I know what items are always in stock and only shop those, and won't even bother with the ones that I know for a fact are showing available online but are never in store.

I just started IC a few weeks ago, and it’s good, but the amount of people that don’t tip is insane!! I get more tips on UE, but on IC it’s almost non-existent. Maybe that’s a Miami thing, and we’re talking I’m delivering to upscale condos and 5-bedroom homes out here. If IC wasn’t paying good and I was relying on tips (like on UE) then I would be screwed.

Wow Karen, complaining because the shopper had kids with her, have a little compassion, guess what some moms don't have the privilege to have on demand babysitters and being a independent contractor they can do their job however they want. There isnt a rule that you cant have anyone with you doing shopping.
