Lifting typically includes larger, wider tires. This in effect negates any "high center of mass" issues by extending the lateral footprint. A wider base can support a taller load, come on Scotty, you know this. Cross-wind isn't much of an issue either as you are not increasing the vehicles side surface area. I love Scotty but a properly lifted truck with appropriate width tires will ride like a dream, although they definitely require rotating regularly and do wear faster. A cheap lift will absolutely vause all of these issues. Ive had about 6 lifted trucks and i love em. Those are the bad but the good is, you can see over everyone in front of you which helps alot., you can go places others cant. Where i live it floods alot. I go out and pull people out for free all the time. Esentially dont lift it cheap and dont do it if your not financially able to afford it. Your wheel bearings will be one of your most replaced parts depending on how crappy your towns roads are.

Not all lifted trucks tip. Widen your width of the tires, and the offset of the wheels, that extra distance will keep that truck grounded. If you know what you’re doing when lifting a truck, you won’t have any issues. If you throw a cheap lift in there that replaces almost no suspension or the front end components, of course it’ll wear the stock ones fast. It’s the same as anything in life, you get what you pay for

Most of what you said was incorrect. Tires are not that expensive, offset wheels can compensate for higher center of gravity, and get a tune and a cold air intake and you can over come the gas pump. And also. Most don’t get the truck for their gas mileage. That’s what a Prius is for.

2/3 of the problems he listed are money-related, but if I had enough money to buy a truck and lift it, I really wouldn't be worrying about a few extra dollars spent on tires. As for the rolling part - I'm sure that these trucks have good anti-rolling mechanisms, even though they weren't made for drifting in the first place.

Thing is, Scotty’s facts are correct. Problem is, they’re extremely exaggerated. Who tf is cornering a lifted truck hard enough to roll it. It’s not something you auto cross with. you’d have to be lifted like 40 inches with no wheel spacers, with no offset on your wheels and tires. I run 40’s on my Silverado and they were actually $600 a piece. What are those on this truck, stock size?? Not enough people daily drive 40” tires to have to make a “why this sucks” video about it. The ONLY truth is the gas mileage and getting blown all over the road on windy days.. This dude is biased against literally everything.

I thought you were gonna talk about damage to the control arms, axel problems, steering issues etc… bad gas mileage in a V8 is a forgoing factor regardless if lifted or not. High winds another factor regardless if lifted or not. Tipping over when turning too fast is a good tip for the dummies. Getting bigger wheels and tires is an absolute yes please (every tire is expensive nowadays), so yeah I’ll take a 6” lift please lol. Scotty will tell you to just buy a 1999 Toyota Corolla and he’d be right cause that car will last you forever but it ain’t sexy looking lol. Life’s short, live it like you mean it!
