This car is pure poetry... a fusion of analog and digital, modern and classic. Holder of the fastest 0-60 (2.1 sec in Car and Driver testing) and Nurburgring lap time (6:57) in a road car for many years. Modern hybrid technology combined with a fire breathing NA V8 ripped straight from a Le Mans racer. One of the most timeless and beautiful designs ever. Oh, and it also was instrumental in the destruction of Jeremy Clarkson's house.

Revisiting this video years later. Glad you had such a good time with it! That said, I'm glad I sold it and got the GT3 RS, GT2 RS, and CGT to replace it. Like you, I absolutely LOVE the CGT. I love it so much I sent it to Germany to get a complete refresh. It comes back (~3 years later) in April 2024. I can't be more excited. The CGT is in a class of its own. The 918 is faster. No doubt. But I'll take a CGT any day over that car. Hope you are doing well and thanks for coming out and enjoying the car. Always a nice experience to have someone that actually understands and respects the cars for what they are. Oh, and the GT2 RS is still a KILLER. That car is one of my favorites and I think it will remain as such. It's so fast I can't believe it's street legal. To this day I get out of it every time with a huge smile on my face and can't believe I own one. It really is that good. 2 of my favorites ever in exchange for a car that's cool, but not my style? Priceless.

Love your videos! Was curious...do you ever get nervous about having an accident when driving these cars? My clients I train will from time to time let me drive their sports cars; lamborghinis, porsches, ferraris, and some times I will but gosh makes me nervous. You have a really cool job!! That noise must be the hydraulics compressor filling the lines or tubed back up, that's what gives u the ability to raise or lower it so fast, its like loaded essentially, instead of the electronic version you get in alot of supercars, it may make noise while it refills but i think the tradeoff of the instant lift is well worth the sound of the lines being refilled. Really cool idea to make the lift so much faster, Porsche has risen to my top luxury brand after years of being kind of a hater.

It's over five years ago since Doug got to drive this 018 and he probadly still has a smile on his face . What a JOB !
