PPFFFFFFTTTTTT...!!! 2 doors are for kids . Single people Since marriage and 2 carpet chewers, you quickly realize how wonderful 4 doors really is. And as far as getting there my 2022 4 door unlimited sport. Will go anywhere the 2 door will go. Mine will jerk the paint off a standard cheap jeep. Mine has the slip differ rear end plus the turbo diesel. It rocks . And the Torque is unbelievable...!!! Mine was $68 K got it down to 48 K since it was a 2022. Al;l the Diesels are or come loaded. They figure if you can own a Diesel you can afford the extras as well. And there is no such thing as a cheap wrangler. They start at 38 K for the 2 door with roll up windows and no radio or anything else. Peace.
@@EstaDePiPi I would love to have a 2-door one. ""But""...!!! Then I wouldn't have room for my stuff when I go camping, or hunting. I wouldn't be able to get my fishing rods inside the jeep. I wouldn't be able to sleep or do the wild thing. Nor bring the dogs or friends. 2 doors also have another big flaw. They don't re-sale as well. A lot more negatives than positives. Besides I used to have a 2-door. There is just no room for people or anything, even grocery shopping was a challenge fighting the front seats etc. Both my other jeeps would climb a tree as well too. Sounds crazy ,but, the 4 -door ones I think go better in the snow too. Sounds insane, but both my other ones would go. If I was single again, no woman, no dogs or kids, no money, no gear, no nothing just ole me. Sure, I'd get another. But alas I'm stuck. Been married to my love for #37 years and have kids and grandkids now, A.K.A. carpet chewers. And lastly the 4-doors ride so much better. I've got a rare one the eco-diesel and she has front and rear lockers and full skid plates and every option available except the 4-goats and servant girl, package. The wifey said no to that one. But she has everything automatic of course. Everyone is "blue" with envy. Life is good. It's like saying I like the 2-door pickup i hate all the extra room and space of the 4-door ones. Uh-ok. Peace.
loved this review and the scripture reading at the end! super informational, and the infotainment system looks really cool! I've always wanted a two-door, maybe someday! 🙏
Regarding folding the back seat, you really need somebody to hold the camera for you: 1: It can fold flat like a lounge. If you tie it down it won't bounce, and the wife can place handbag there and reach back easily. You need a rubber mat over it to stop piercing the fabric 2: Its best to fold it up and press it against the front seats. It comes with straps to tie it to hooks on each side so it does not flap about. This provides lots of room for cargo. 3: Remove the seats as I do to make lots of cargo space. Firstly push the front seats all the way forwards and only then remove the back seats. To install the back seats again, start by pushing the front seats all the way forward. I did not place a shelf in the back. Rather, I placed a net in the back that acts as a shelf. The net is intended to hold, hat, beanie, gloves, jacket, beach towel as the case may be.
Hi, I love the review you gave on he 2024. Husband and I just bought the same with upgraded features. We love the Earl Gray color. We do a lot of camping as well and the size(fit) is perfect. Prayer request is please pray for safe travels for all on the roads
Honestly I would love a two door! It would be my third wrangler TJ (2000), JK (2007) and they were both 2-door. I’m a little bit nervous about skiing now that they have the rear-view camera on the spare mount. Previously I had the Thule Spare Mount ski racks, which work, but are an adventure with snowboards when it’s windy. I think the camera ruins that solution so I guess I could try the hitch mount. The 4-door is inviting because of the possibility of just throwing the whole ski bag in the back when I’m feeling too lazy to attach racks and pull the skis out but the 2-door would be fine 90% of the time. I wish the price difference was bigger so the 2-door was a no-brained. Lol
Trust me you need the key. Sometimes your in an area that affects the signal from the key fob and it won’t work. So you use the manual key and use the fob to push the start button to start the vehicle. This will work even if the battery is dead in the fob
Anyone who is thinking of getting a Jeep, do it. It’s a fun, and surprisingly practical vehicle. That being said, you should have a certain “discomfort tolerance” because it’s an off road vehicle and won’t ride or handle like a proper highway vehicle.
Loved your review!! I’ve been debating getting one. I made the mistake of buying a 2023 Chevy Colorado Z 71. Huge number of electrical issues to the point that I had to return it as a lemon. I then switched out to the Silverado 2023. Much better but incredibly it has a different set of electrical gremlins. I just attended jeep invasion in Gatlinburg a couple weeks ago and it was fantastic. Your video really encouraged me that I need to consider a jeep wrangler. I’m also a chaplain and I love the ending of your video! If you need any prayers I’m happy to pray for you too! God bless Joe.
Thank you Joe! The Wranglers also have issues, no doubt! But I'm so sorry to hear your Colorado had so many issues it became a lemon! That's fascinating. What went wrong? Was the gauge cluster screen not coming on? I saw that happening a lot.
Greetings, Thank you for sharing this out. Since the 1980s I drove my friends 2dr., Jeep stick shift, and it was fun, but I ended up getting a VW Camper Van, which was more fun. However, I’ve been watching videos on the 4dr, bigger jeep (to tow). Still I don’t have a Jeep. Blessings and Thanks again
I always loved the look of these while I was a kid, and I bought a new one in 2008 as my first ever brand new vehicle. It was a two door soft top. I learned to hate that thing with a passion. Super slow, lousey on pavement, terrible gas mileage, no storage, the soft top was a jigsaw puzzle to remove and didn't look right after it was on and off a few times and, worst of all, a very bad case of death wobble that the dealership could not fix after multiple tries. Another issue was that the upright windshield caused me to have to replace it 3 times in approx. 50,000 miles...which makes me think that the antenna in the windshield might be an expensive design issue for folks who buy the new ones. I hope that Jeep has solved a lot of the issues that the '08 model had since that time, but that awful experience made a truck guy out of me ever since. Enjoying my '23 Tacoma.
Same story here. 2008 2 door, 5 speed Rubicon was my 1st ever new car. Kept it 9 years until wife was pregnant. Never had “death wobble”, I did have water coming in from the top of the doors and yes that soft top was annoying. But man, that feeling of driving a 5 speed, top down in summer was unbeatable. I still miss it. I’m actually thinking of a 2024 Willys manual, even with 2 young kids!
I own a 2020 JL 2 door hard top. I have had it for almost 4 years and I love it. No issues. No death wobble. 65,000 kms. Better than you think on gas. I bought it new and it drives great. I can go 120 km/hr on our canadian highways here with no problems. Drives nicely. Great in snow. I got myself out of 3 feet of snow with bizzaks very easily. I drove a GTI for 10 years and loved that car now I drive a jeep and love it even more. I was even able to camp and sleep in the 2 door with 18" of memory foam in the back (custom cut around the console) with my poodle. We slept on an angle with the passenger seat pushed forward and back seats out, of course. I am 5'5" and he was 20 pounds so it worked for us even with our gear on the other side. I don't camp outside because of the skunks and raccoons here so sleeping safely inside was a must for us. I was thinking of getting a 4 door wrangler recently. I am not sure if I want to change out my 2 door for the 4 door, honestly. I don't like the look of the 4 door. I also love being able to turn on a dime. My 2 door is the 3.6 L 6 cylinder and even towed a very large cargo trailer behind it when moving long distance. So, I might just buy a soft top for the warmer months and keep the jeep I have.
I wanted a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport S with a manual transmission, in the Earl color, just as you tested - except they aren’t offering a manual transmission at the moment. Also - the one I test drove at electrical issues, even though brand new… so went with a 4Runner!
Yes the 2 door is the true Jeep. I have a 2013 jeep wrangler sport 4x4 and have had it 5 months and love it. I've done some upgrades to it. IT has the 3.6 V6 with the 6speed trans. Has the soft top and I've put on a set of 285 75 16 AT tires and rock slider steps and get ready to put on a winch and upgraded the radio.
@@AlphaShark not sure who wanted the seats to fold down. People who buy wranglers don't do it for hauling stuff. They do it as a play toy for mudding, rock crawling and the likes. You don't have to take the doors off of you don't want to. Just thought I'd point that out for "Ted's" benefit. 😉
I have a 2015 JKU. Sometimes I think I should have gotten a 2 door. I have never had a rear passenger and on the trail yesterday, the 2 door Jeeps just whipped around a tight turn and I had to do a 2 point turn.
Thanks; never owned a Jeep Before; purchased a basic 2024 2 door automatic Wrangler Sport Model 3 months ago. I agree the one item they should have added is LED front and fog lights. The most irritating button that should have been left ON, as a default , is the A button. Otherwise I love it.
Pretty sure the jeep seats can continue to fold all the way up! . Creates a lot more room for storage. I know on some Jeeps they can be removed as well.
Yes, he had junk in the way. It flip up (doesn't lie flat). I removed my back seat entirely since I never had passengers and used it like a truck bed or sorts.
@@Bill.R.124 yep once I get settled in my new location I am gonna throw the seats in storage! It’s a great feature! I’m going to hold onto them but yea I am so excited to have more room for camping and such!
Putting the stereo receiver antenna into the windshield is actually a very clever design. But I thought they only did it about 4 years on GM vehicles. My 1975 Firebird did have a windshield with an integrated radio antenna which I thought looked much better than having the radio antenna stick in the air.
I'm Ted.🙂 Thanks for the video. I'm researching ordering the 2025 model later on this year. I'm looking for a manual 2 doors with manual transmission and the same top you showed in your video.
I like my jk because all it has is the bare essentials, like I had to add a Bluetooth adapter. I’m probably alone with this feeling but I feel technology is too involved in everyday and the jeep is the one place where it’s just me, the clutch and the gas.
Awesome review brother! You lost some weight! I live in nyc. You think if I drove to this PA Jeep location they’d give me a discount since you recommended it? Or military discount ? :O
Maybe military, I don't know about an Isaac discount though, sorry! Lol, Did I lose weight? Haha back and forth between semesters at school I've always gained then lost 10-15lbs and I never think I look different but once I'm back into a good exercise routine people always say that so I guess I must look different!
The rear is more spacious when you lift the rear seats all the way up! It offers a flat surface where your big dog can lie down comfortably. I wouldn't have bought my Sport S if the rear seat was only as you show in your review.
Following up on my comments of a few mins ago; I wish you added one item for a new owner like me; I just did a 900 mile drive to visit my son for Christmas and I wish I learned how to physically remove (if that is even possible) the back seat to provide some extra storage room I need to carry some stuff. If you can reply with a link to a video that offers this advice would greatly appreciate.( Again, I recently bought a 2024 2 door automatic basic Wrangler sport model; it does not even have remote door control). Have a happy and holy Christ_mas.
Great to see us 2 door owners represented on RU-vid! All I ever see is wrangler videos that are about the unlimited models. I’m thinking soon they will discontinue the 2 doors.. I feel like more and more people would rather have the unlimited. That will be a sad day!
When I see a two door I think of the old CJ series. I was telling someone the other day. When the fours first came out they look strange, now I think the two door look strange. Great review, keep them coming. Stay Strong,be Bless and Encouraged. Act:2 46-47
I have a defective heart valve and it has to be replaced. I spent five days in the hospital recently due to it getting infected and now I’m home with a PICC line and on antibiotics to get completely rid of the infection until late October. I will be scheduled for valve replacement surgery when the infection is gone, probably sometime in November if I’m lucky. Any prayers for a successful surgery and fast recovery would be greatly appreciated.
Great review. The 2.0 turbo is actually an upgrade from the V6. Unfortunately, if you want an automatic, you have to get the 2.0 turbo. And if you want a manual, you have to get the V6. At least for the sport and Willys editions.
Good luck getting a manual. They were recalled in the 2023 models and there are ZERO manual 2024 2-door Jeeps on any lots within 500 miles of me - Lord knows I checked before buying my Toyota 4Runner.
Imagine this. Maybe for some reason your battery goes dead and you want to get in your locked Jeep. Maybe then the door key would be useful or some electrical problem happens and you want to manually lock your door before you leave it. Might be useful for a door key then also. Will it happen? Probably not but you never know.
Funny, if you're not into Jeeps, you'd think this was a boring, no frills car. And in many ways it is, and that's the beauty of it. I "do" appreciate some of the more techy upgrades like cameras and entertainment center. Not sure I like that the center vents are smaller. Sacramento has plenty of days over 100, but hey, it's a Jeep Wranger.
As an owner of a ‘22 2dr Rubicon with 12k miles, my advice is to steer clear of these electrical nightmares. Haven’t been in mine for two weeks because it is currently having and issue with the steering locking while driving down the road. Almost 60k and I can’t drive it. Save yourself the frustration
You messed up. The rear seat folds and flips up straight against the back of the front seats allowing more flat storage. ( Not to mention that it is completely removable for even more room ) Now do the video again !
I currently have a tj which i will never get rid of. My daily is a kl cherokee. I'll probably trade it one day for a JL. Likely around a 2020 or so as it'll become my daily and the reliability will be important. I love jeeps, but i hate what they have become. I mean, just the fact that you called removing the panels above the front seat "removing the roof" is absolutely ludicrous. My hard top is hanging in my garage, probably never to be re-installed again. The new jeeps have become so refined that they are, with the exception of two solid axles and a body on frame construction, no longer jeeps. I understand the evolution, it just saddens me as a jeep is supposed to be a simple, small, nimble, go anywhere vehicle.
I love my Gladiator, but a little piece of me died the day I handed over the keys to my manual soft-top 2-door wrangler… I’ll have another one some day.
Don't order a manual transmission if you want the Jeep any time this century. Ordered one at the beginning of June and it hasn't even been scheduled to be built yet.
If you wrangler bois ever get tired of that sad minivan motor. Your bois in the import scene have this great motor. Let me tell you what. Reliable because it's not made by chrysler, wickedly upgradeable, and easy to work on. Plus, you're finally giving your jeep the straight 6 heart it deserves.
