@@ZGVlogs I'm not sure, it just "forgets" how to operate windows when you disconnect the battery. As far as I know this is a Toyota thing at least in cars of that era. I've actually watched the video further and maybe you have some other issue there if you can auto-operate window from passenger's switch but not from the driver's - I'll check it later on mine as I recently changed the battery and only set up the driver controls. Also thing to note, at least on mine - the heater radiator clogs up or whatever and requires cleaning or it doesn't produce heat. There should be an entire thread on the internet about this issue and how to clean it, but in case somebody is looking to buy a TS or a TTE/Compressor - check that it blows hot air properly on all vents

I've checked and for me windows work both from driver's and from all passenger controls. However in any case you can try it and see if it helps

Yea I do keep on top of maintainence and I'm going through cleaning the TB and that anyway, and yea my fuel economy has got better lately TBH

I get no codes for the O2 sensors tho. Never had a check engine light or anything. Would it still possibly be faulty with no code?

@@ZGVlogs yeah definitely mate, if its just just dirty it will still think it's OK but because it's getting the wrong reading it sends the wrong volts to the ecu which adds more fuel because it thinks the car is still cold. Cheaper option would be to spray brake cleaner on them or soak them in a bucket for a few hours to remove carbon and grime but you will have to thoroughly dry them after. I've experienced and read a lot of people getting the results they need just by sorting the o2 sensors

Rust is the main issue as with any jap car really. Other than that, nothing really springs to mind. A nice record of regular maintenance is another thing to look out for and also make sure there is no engine knock. If they have been abused, they can suffer from oil starvation as the sumps are not the best (ideally need to be baffled) but yea, generally quite solid cars

My centre console door flap thing is also broken and im looking for a driverside seat handle/lever (the smaller one), think its moves the seat high and low

Boot seal is common. My old pfl was swimming under the spare wheel so check it and pull the plug. That heat sheild is always prone to come off because they rust through easy. I pulled the back one off my pfl because it was rattling. Headlights are a ballache. They're all the same. You can get a kit to do them but I just wrapped mine 😂

Gear ratios are a bit shitty I agree but I do like the 6200rpm lift. I feel if it was lower say 5000rpm you would be in lift too much. Dropping a gear would nearly always put you in it and therefor increase fuel consumption and lift cam wear.

What annoys me.... stock stereo is crap. Get rid of it and you can't see your mpg to complain 😂😂😂 also while on the stereo the dash is prone to warping around the top so the facia never fits right. The wingmirrors whistle at high speeds unless you have both wind deflectors on the windows and the wingmirrors. The body roll on the lower FL is still bad as is the dif. The stock callipers are designed by fucktards and not got enough force for these cars imo everyone should refurb or replace them before they sieze up 😂 also the alloys should be wider. Its a hot hatch it needs better handling. The steering wheel should adjust position more. The drivers seat should go lower. The horn sounds like a duck under the bonnet. The engine trays are so annoying I want to yeet them over the fence but I like my bay being clean so I can't and have to put up with the rattling. The saggy door cards as you said. And lastly. I want my centre are rest further forward 😂 I like to lean my arm on it and I can't in this lmao. Oh and the seat belt position is annoying if you have passengers in the 3dr version. You have to take it off or they crawl under lol. That's my pet peaves lol

Yea I know the trip computer ain't true regarding consumption, but the rate it goes through fuel was mad (we were at high fuel prices too), and for some reason it seems to be slightly better now. I do E5 every other tank or at least once every 4 weeks. I never knew I could adjust the intensity, I'm gunna play with that now with the Wipers and my battery has never been disconnected in my ownership

@@ZGVlogs Yeah, I couldn't figure out for a while, but there are marks with + and - on the wiper control stalk. Its purpose is to change how automode reacts on water drops in front of rain sensor. Well, you should give it a try, when you are relearning auto windows, you just need to press the button in second position and hold it until window goes up and a bit more, you will hear quiet knock from the window. Then do the same with down side, just hold button in second position and go all the way down and a bit more and you will hear silent knock again. Then your auto windows should work :)
