Love my slr slingshot. 2017. 24,000 miles in 2 yrs and 22 states. My last Harley I put 37,000 miles, in 2 years and 24 states.

Exactly,,Harley blew their chances with their stuck up better then thou imagine with me,,tried buying 1 an the sales people about drown with the rain coming down nose stuck clear up,,,,,my s model 1/2 the price twice the launch way more comfortable,,,an reliability is paramount,,,1 friend street glide constant issues. Keep it Harley or get that nose out the air

Hate how they classify it as a motorbike. The vehicle not even powered by a motorcycle engine lol. Well what I like about the slingshot is the ability to customize the hell out of one. Lot of routes you can take when tricking one out for sure. The ls swap, sc or turbocharged route though is pointless cause the vehicle has two major problems to support that. One it’s aerodynamically challenged. It can’t also properly put its power down. The design here is leaning more towards drifting. Even though you may have some good turbo builds nobody could ever make it run 200mph lol. So all that just a waste of money. On acceleration it’ll make it pull a bit better cause it’s pretty sluggish the way it is. T-Rex the way to go. Yeah it’s high but I say it’s worth it. Aerodynamics on it is nice, brakes way better, you get that sweet inline 4 sound from that motorcycle engine, it was built to also do track days as it can hang with most Italian or decently built track cars with ease. It can also put its power down much better than the slingshot.

This is where a horsepower addict would have to show some restraint. Overpowering that single rear wheel and that super lite weight chassis is a recipe for disaster.

Down side about those seats is there not water proof meaning u better have it in the garage. That's why I will only ever use Polaris original comfort seats. Swapping them out yes looks good but dang what a waste of money if u can't keep them long.

operamatt its perspective issue, when you’re in it you can’t see it. I rode my whole life and upon the idea to pay so much for HD trike to look much as it was. The can-am was in terrible position for wt control. It became a real vehicle to me when I saw it was GM 4cyl, warranty better than when in there own cars. Capable for LS engine swap and swingarm swap to dual rear wheel mated to a man. transmission. under 2000 lbs full build. base model under 20k...... to spend 30k+ for stripes and sjit turbo I cannot disagree except to say rent one someday it’ll suprise you, if you ride a bike with somone on your back seat it’ll suprise them coz you can eat, converse easily and itsa good open air ride. SS Trey posted funnest toy and that fits, lame may also fit..... get a look at this as a quad with Corvette engine at a little over the price of premium model and there’s nothing lame about it, and wave at em anyfknhow

Very expensive to own a set of tires per year (3000 mile) at bout$2k a set. If it raining semi trucks blow you offthe road as wide tires with no weight on them hydroplanes too easy

Muffler is under the passengers seat and lets fumes and heat into the cabin sometimes. I'm looking forward to getting my Thermal R&D exhaust system on to eliminate those problems. Should sound fantastic too!

My point is that its designed to be its own thing. It has a car engine with a 5 speed car transmission, car control arms, car brakes, car seats, car steering wheel. Not designed to be a motorcycle. Take it for what it is. Its not to replace a motorcycle.

The T-REX 16S has a BMW engine... They are near impossible to get in and out of compared to a slingshot. Im only 5'11, 185lbs and I still struggle to climb in and out of a TREX. Absolutely ZERO leg room or head room for the matter. Not to mention the BASE price tag of $57,999. So unless you're smaller that 5'6 and have more money than you know what to do with, The TREX is kinda out of the question and not even in the same category. 3 wheeled roadsters aren't for everyone but they definitely turn heads. which is really what they are made to do.
