Darius, stop telling people that the food is going to be wasted. Why don't you ask for separate containers, put what you are going to eat in the additional containers & give the rest to someone that could use the food. Too many hungry people for you to throw food away. Appreciate the reviews anyway.
Esther is one of the best soul foods in Houston for this to be the south. I was very disappointed when I moved here. The soul food is trash here but Esther I will drive the extra 30 minutes to go to her restaurant.
Boil chicken save broth, red yellow green bell pepper s onions cut small , Rotel Velveeta cheese, debone chicken, cook spaghetti n broth add everything together casserole dish bake😂
I dont know of him ever leavimg the food.. but i know thats the way i lost weight a long time ago.. is to not be fussing over the food.. God do feed thd homeless
@DariusCooksToo although EVERYONE may not desire that, there are plenty of those that would love it. I have been asked for my spit on, picked over leftovers while coming out of restaurants, so yes, THEY WANT IT!
I started watching him when I was getting chemotherapy and radiation never could eat ANYTHING.But I got full watching him cook. I appreciate his honesty 🎯
I am going to Esther's the food looks great! Someone else reviewed the banana pudding and they said the exact things it wasn't that good. The sad thing is I have passed Esther's for years even before she moved to the new location and I never stopped 😢 SMH! I am going for the oxtails as well. The other person didn't do a good review of Esther's, but Darius did a great job. Thanks for reviewing, and those 144,000 I was rolling in the chair when you said that!! You be saying some real stuff!!
It was not that good when I ordered for DoorDash and they put bacon in the cabbage without saying it on the menu and I do not eat pork! I was very upset!
The staff is kind. The food is a hit or miss. Sometimes delicious, sometimes not. I just stopped eating from Esthers. I'm happy the business has expanded.
Ester's has some of the nastiest soul food I have ever eaten. Those canned greens and yams are disgusting. That gravy is not homemade. That cornbread is dry af. Just nasty.
I 💯 agree. I had the food delivered to me and ordered several entrees. Everything was tasteless and awful. I get upset today thinking about all the money I spent on that nasty as$$ food.
I don't care what anyone says but when you don't clean meats before cooking to me that's straight nasty if you like food that's not clean go get it. I'm from the country I ask questions about foods if they have a problem with me asking that let me know their meats are dirty.if u leave that trash under thighs I don't want it.take off membrane off turkey necks just nasty.that is why cook at home I know it will be clean.

My family went to Esther I have a great granddaughter that love the macaroni and cheese, I'm not a big macaroni and cheese person, but I also can say I loved their macaroni cheese it taste like love. We enjoy everything about Esther including the customer service.
Sorry dude but if it's not in SW Louisiana it's not Cajun so many restaurants out of state call themselves Cajun and there Food is nothing like ours. You should come to SW Louisiana to get the real Cajun Hospitality

The food was great, but the price was terrible , a oxtail place was $30 a plate, I know that food prices are high , but $30 for a plate of oxtails, naw

Very clean and setup is great. I had the fried fish and it was very good. I wasn't impressed with the greens and the banana Pudding was trash. I would go back
