Key Feature Toyota reliability. We have a 2008 and it is still going. Debating whether or not to get a 2021TRD Pro before being a guinea pig for some new unreliable model with 10 turbos in 2022.

I think some reviewers don't understand vehicles like this. The Sequoia can tow a crap load, so if you have an Rv or boat, and a family, you can tow it reliably and carry your family across country.

No Toyota don’t fix what ain’t broken. I agree they could use some updates BUT that’s why most of the “big 3” brands have PLENTY of problems!! I own a Tundra and it’s the best truck I’ve had even considering I’ve had Chevys and Fords with more options! This ride would last YEARS without a single problem most times where the chevys and fords ive had or still have for sure have their share of problems! My everyday driver is a 2010 Tundra. Never had a single problem besides 1 fuel pump with 170,000 miles. I also currently own a 2014 chevy that’s had 4 rear ends, 3 AC condensers, a high pressure fuel pump, trans is currently trashed (no racing and only tow a 3500lb trailer at times) and I believe it’s about to either need a rebuild or at minimum oil pump

@@dcooper91g This is always the fallback position regarding Toyotas. Yes, they're reliable, but would it kill Toyota to incrementally improve some aspects? Putting in a larger center screen would cost them nothing and it's well proven technology.

@@weirdshibainu oh yea I agree. Don’t understand why they don’t change some stuff that wouldn’t effect reliability at least! Things that kill me is whenever you see a truck comparison video the person doing the video almost always dogs the tundra for ONLY 10k tow rating BUT they never tell you that the Toyota comes with that in the lowest level truck where Chevy and Ford you have to buy the HIGHEST level most expensive truck usually to get the “touted” way high toe rating! Most chevys sold for example have 7000-8000 tow rating and a tundra will run circles around those NORMAL model trucks!! Been trying for 3 years to get my wife to swap to a Sequoia but since the 2021 looks almost identical to the 2007 she don’t like em!

At 3:24 you mentioned the handle on the driver side, I got hurt at work and that handle is very good help when getting into a big vehicle such as this one.

@@ODK321 What’s not broken shouldn’t be fixed, now the 3rd gen Seqouia has less interior space and lost the bulletproof Toyota V8, replaced with more parts that will go wrong sooner instead.

My grandma has a 2013 sr5. It’s pretty smooth and powerful but I suggest to wait for the 2023 model if your deciding to get one of these brand new.

It's coming. The TNGA-F program will develop a new truck platform which will be the underpinning for the Tundra and Sequoia. Rumor is the Tundra will be released in Q4 of this year for 2022MY and sometime in 2022 a new Sequoia for 2023MY. The other rumor is that the V8 is gone and will be replaced with the twin turbo V6 currently used in the Lexus LS500 - with different tuning for a truck platform, of course.

This is why I don't buy Toyota, my brother's 2007 Tundra Limited has exactly the same dashboard, engine, transmission, chassis, he then paid $38K out the door, good luck buying an identical 2021 Tundra limited for $38K, more like $55K+.....STOP supporting such brands people, get a used one and save $$$$$$$.

Good review, but that car needs a Revamp. Standard stuff for a $60k-70k car. Id choose a Telluride or Palisade. Even a Expedition

We have both. 2017 and newer Armada's are made in Japan are solid vehicles. But the fact that the whole Nissan brand drops in value like a rock is the reason why Armadas don't hold value. The Sequoia we have will run forever, like every Toyota, just change the fluids. But in 10 more years, I bet the Sequoia will be worth more than the Armada :)

It doesn’t have as much interior space, doesn’t have the bullet proof Toyota V8 anymore, and has way more parts that can go wrong, and costs nearly twice as much in comparison to the 2nd gen
