If you've ever owned a Subaru, it would be a lifetime ownership instead of 36 months. hahaha

Did he say "Chevy Malibu" over the Subaru.?! I'd sooner go back to taking public transportation than owning a Chevy Malibu.! 3 Malibus in my neighborhood and all 3 owners can't wait to get out of their leases. The owner (which will remain nameless) of the newest 2015 Malibu often says he wants to let the car roll of a cliff....he's only had it 2 months and absolutely hates it. We purchased a new Malibu back in 2001 and from the moment we drove out of the showroom to the day we gave it away it was nothing but trouble. Nearly every member of our family has owned a GM car over the last 20 years and today not a single member of our entire family has one.........Hmmmm, wonder why.!? Actually, I shouldn't sound so cynical.... I have to thank GM for introducing us to Subaru, Honda, Toyota......etc, etc.

I have to disagree a little bit with this review. I own this car. The Premium H6. Got it at a huge discount end of year. The Eyesight system prevented an accident with preventive breaking. I was leaving a green light with a recent BMW next to me. A truck pulled out on a side street, into our path. The Eyesight system beeped frantically and started breaking the Subaru. The BMW lacked any kind of preventive system. Suffice to say, I missed the truck with a few inches to spare. The BMW smashed the truck, costing him over $6000 in repairs - the cost of the Eyesight system. I had no pain from this - he was in a world of hurt. That is priceless. The GPS and Bluetooth sticks (I agree with that), but Eyesight for its price point is awesome as is the overall car. I prefer the Subaru over the Malibu, Passant, and the other cars they mention. It is my first Subaru so I hope it lasts a long time.

I own this car and I live in the northern part of MN, and I know for a fact how well this car handles bad weather conditions with Bridgstone all season tires. And how well it drives up hill (on un plowed snowy/plowed but icy roads) and the hill holder assist is an extra handy feature. Yup, totally agree with you guys about the interior, but it's adequate. And this car is built for the bad weather/winter states. I love the way my Suby handles snowy/muddy/wet/icy roads.

@1:28 The 3.6 is not a V6, its a Flat Six or H6 And the key hole for the truck is in case your FOB dies or gets lost so you can still open the trunk.

Good to know I can get in through the trunk! I just tried it and couldn't get in but I'll keep trying. I had to get my door replaced with a junk yard door a few years back so if my fob dies, im screwed unless I get my spare key

Incorrectly identifying engines, obsessing over interiors like a couple of middle aged soccer moms, and hardly mentioning how it functions as a vehicle (crash tests, stopping distances, gas mileage, etc)....... I do hope this is only your guys' weekend job, because this is a little bit comical :P You two have a lot of potential, don't get me wrong, you could be brilliant reviewers! So why don't you? I get that the modern "everyman driver" is an ignorant consumer who pays more attention to texting apps than driving, but that doesn't mean you have to fall to that level. Good luck on your future videos :)

The reason you can stick the key in the trunk and use the FOB, is if in case for some reason the FOB decides not to work. Need to have fail safe. Also i'm pretty sure that was Hill hold and not Hill decent, given the direction of the vehicle on the picture

I do agree about the dash, the stack just seems too... cluttered, too many buttons and doo-dads in a small space, personally would take the 2.5i Sport over the premium, standard sunroof, 17s, foglamps, and butt warmers, without the availability of isight, and navi to gripe about... heres to hoping they drop the new 2.0 turbo in this as well as the xv

It makes more sense, yes. Thanks. I would still say that the interesting question is whether I would actually buy the car. Not how long I would have it if I bought it. In my mind the big decision would be whether to buy the car, not how long I'd keep it once I'd bought it. Your scale it sort of counter-intuitive to me :) Keep up the great work! :)

I have the 2012 and the CVT transmission is horrible it revs crazy high but doesn't seem to accelerate and the air conditioner shuts off when you accelerate so in stop and go traffic you get to sweat its a horrible design to work on every regular maintenance item from oil change to headlight replacement is a pain and it is a supposedly sealed transmission that they know fails but they only cover it up to 100 k miles because apparently that's its planed obsolescence age wish i had bought the camry which they don't even mention

I drive a 2010, it is sporty,you don't get this kind of ride from Honda or Toyota, the peddle shifter are great, do you know how much you have to pay if you want that on A4 or Infiniti, they are useful in winter time, I use them all the time, it gives the car a sporty ride, over two years and the drive is still exciting. 100% recommended over the other cars in this price range even a A4.

I own the 2013 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited and it is a boxer (H) design as well. It is a very good car. We have owned this for 6.5 years now and it has just needed maintenance. A very good reliable car that now has just over 100,000 miles. Have to say it is a very good solid car that is great in the snow and I have to climb a 650 foot mountain every day. If snowing, it gets up it no problem. I have a 5 speed automatic and that is solid. You can go with the Honda, Chevy, and something else - but I don't get home with those cars. I know, the previous car was a Honda Accord - and I had to walk home even with snow tires more times than I can count.

Hey man, could you update me on your review? Has the car had any problems since, I’m thinking of buying one with 130000 kms
@Buc_Stops_Here
@Buc_Stops_Here 2 года назад
@@RafaelAlexandreGoat That is 81,000 miles. If maintained well, it should last a lot longer with a five-speed automatic. Now are car is 8.5 years old (bought October 2013) and the only repair we have needed is the master brake cylinder failed at 116,000 miles and was replaced. It has burned a little oil after 100,000 miles but it is like a half a quart every 5000 miles between oil changes. Subaru corporate told me I can put in the H6 up to 6.9 quarts and it won't hurt the engine. So I put in that amount and at the end of 5000 miles between oil changes the oil is still full. Besides those two things, the car has needed nothing else but regular maintenance. Good luck with the car if you decide to get it.

I gotta agree with these guys, the interior is not all that great, but that is not the reason I am buying a Subaru to begin with. The high cost almost always comes down to the unique system Subaru has in their cars and awesome safety features. I would go a different brand if the inside really worried me that much.
